The Carillon boasts 67 cast bronze bells covering a range of 5 1/2 chromatic octaves. The total weight of the bells is 82,753 pounds; the largest (bourdon) bell, a G-flat, weighs 7 1/2 tons, while the smallest weighs 22 pounds. On times when the carillon is not being played manually, the Westminster Chime will sound. The Westminster Chime is a quarter-hour time indication consisting of a melody which grows as the hour progresses. At the top of the hour it is followed by the hour strike, indicating the time of day.

It's not often that you find a place so welcoming in a town buried so far off the beaten path. But should you find yourself in need of a place to stay once you have reached their little fairy town, the inhabitants of Sidhe will always have room for their guests at the King's Court Inn.

Onagh's Apothecary

Legend has it, that Onagh is the fairy queen. Her golden hair sweeps the ground, and she is robed in silver gossamer all glittering as if with diamonds, but they are dew-drops that sparkle over it. The queen is more beautiful than any woman of earth, yet Finrarra, her king, loves the mortal women best. Because of this, it is said that the mortal women that fall prey to the fairy king's wiles are forever changed by a potion of sorts... And where better to find that sort of thing, than at the hands of his queen...

Whether you believe the legend is true or not, it would make good sense to be wary of anything that comes from within the walls of Onagh's Apothecary.

Nestled in the Highlands like Sidhe is there are any number of foot paths that lead into the hills around the town. Travel in the opposite direction of the lake, just a little ways up the hill and you will come to Sunset Pass... It is said that the sidhe come out at sunset to really see the world, and it is from here that one could find themselves appreciating a stunning view of the entire town.

Nestled along the back of the town is a lake, that while small, and quaint, can be the perfect place to find yourself searching for something you lost. They say that the waters are rejuvenating, that they are full of restorative magic. Whether that is true, or whether it is just an old fairy tale... Well that's up to you to decide.

This tiny town in the Scottish Highlands is relatively difficult to find if you don't know where it is. There are no spells, or enchantments hiding it away, it's just buried deep enough in the hills that travelers are rare unless they have a very specific reason for being there. But that is what they count on...
