A small and quaint store that looks like any other shop Diagon Alley. It specialises in selling antiques, although it also does more modern items as well. The shop offers a reasonable price for all goods depending on their value. All goods on the shop floor have had proof of ownership before they have been displayed. For those in the know, however, and who know what to say to the shop keeper, they can find that the store is more...flexible on the issue of ownership than it seems.

Cavanaugh & Slagle

The brick facade of Cavanaugh & Slagle is kept pristine. Deceivingly narrow, the law firm opens up as soon as you enter the front door. A short staircase pops you out in front of the receptionist, who is happy to have you sit in the stark white waiting room until they’re ready for you. Individual offices line the long hallway past the receptionist’s desk, silver placards denoting which attorney resides in which. A large conference room for staff meetings and client meetings breaks up a few of the offices. At the end of the hallway are the largest offices which overlook Diagon Alley. The left belongs to Isolde Cavanaugh, the right to Maria Slagle.

This restaurant is a must-stop place for anyone with a spare couple Galleons in their pockets, as it is absolutely not cheap. It is frequented by celebrities in the wizarding world, as well as the occasional regular joes that just want to treat themselves to an incredibly nice meal.

Cogg and Bell Clockmakers
1 thread
2 posts
Deceitfully larger on the inside than on the outside, Cogg and Bell's were first established in the 1800's as one of the first Clock Makers in Wizarding England. The outside of the shop is cream with burgundy edging around the large display windows and the frame of the ornately carved mahogany door, with black sconces on either side for the lamps to be lit at night. The sign above the shop is gold script writing which looks a little aged now especially compared with some of the other business' nearby. Inside, one may find that the only other windows are situated at the very top of the walls, and old fashioned lights hang down to cast a warm welcoming glow around the admittedly huge showroom. Cabinets, shelves, floor and wall displays... there isn't much room in this shop for much else than the space set aside to keep ease of access when navigating the shop. A small seating area can be found near the till for those inclined to buy so the sale is with full disclosure and insurance against theft, breakages and the like.

Located at 521 Diagon Alley, this quaint shop is rather dim inside, most likely as an added comfort for the nocturnal creatures, owls. Owls line the windows, watching those who pass on by. Owls and necessary supplies to care for them are sold here.

The Fixed Broom

A shop with a large work space at back that specialises in repairing broken or cursed brooms or any other manner of broken quidditch goods or items for a reasonable fee. The backroom always seems busy fixing brooms and other quidditch material. Any rumours that these are really cheap knock off quidditch goods that get sold in market stalls or foreign lands are entirely false.

Reopened after the explosion, the inside looks the same. A lovely bookshop located in North Side, Diagon Alley, where most students will discover the necessary books for success. Be mindful; some books are rather difficult to find with the naked eye and others may try to rip off one's hand. Conveniently, if one so desires, they may receive books via owl delivery.

Gringott's, the safest place next to Hogwarts as no one is foolish enough to cause trouble for goblins. Towering over the other shops, this location is used to store money, protected by the greedy creatures. If one decides to commit thievery, it is wise to know that goblins are not the only creatures in place to prevent such a criminal act.

Motto the bank: Fortius Quo Fidelius (Strength through loyalty)

A wand is more than just a fancy stick to wave about mindlessly. The wand chooses him who it believes will partner them with the greatest success. Ollivander's is just the shop that is needed to pair up such fantastic partnerships. Ranked as the finest wandmakers in Europe, step inside the narrow shop, filled with boxes of wands, ready to choose their mate. With a layer of dust covering the entire place, if one is lucky and careful, they will only need to purchase one wand in their lifetime.

Students, writers, reporters...no matter one's occupation, come along to find all of one's needs satisfied. The shop, having been abandoned in 1996, is now back, opening its doors to the public after a smooth transfiguration.

Potions come in handy when one has the proper ingredients to be prosperous. This shop offers such potential. Located along the streets of Diagon Alley, this dimly lit shop has its shelves filled with various ingredients, the smell slightly dingy with some stock having been untouched for so long. Be warned, do not look with one's hand as breaking or losing any ingredient will come at quite the hefty price.

Serving customers since 1500, this combined pub and inn is still an active, popular location. It's most interesting feature is that it is an entrance to Diagon Alley and Knockturn Alley. Tapping in an anti-clockwise order, bricks will move aside, allowing admittance to the magical community. Inside, there are several rooms to rent for however long is needed, a bar to grab drinks at, a few private parlour rooms, and a large dining room. It is rather dark inside, a number of tables located throughout the space.

The rooms for rent contain comfortable beds, highly polished oak furniture, and a fire which is always burning.

Muggles looking upon the entrance will see a decrepit old shop on Charing Cross Road.

Watson Plants and Potions

It's an old shopfront, though it hardly looks the part. A small display window showcases the plants most prominently in season and/or on sale, as well as any sign for potions on special for the week. The interior is tastefully done, with dark wood shelves which hold potions and ingredients available for purchase, each jar is carefully labeled for ease of understanding and charmed against accidental breakage and theft. Through a doorway near the back is the greenhouse, where only employees are allowed to retrieve whatever plant a customer requests if it isn't found on the shelves.
