Although not all lessons for CoMC are practical lessons, the ones that are would take place here. This is an elective offered to students third year and above, and ones that enjoy possibly getting their hands bitten off by magical creatures.

The forest is also known as the Dark Forest, and it borders the edges of the grounds. It holds many secrets and even more creatures, both dangerous and friendly. Some of the creatures that can be found here are acromantulas, thestrals, unicorns, centaurs, werewolves, but the rest... well, you'd have to go in to find out--if you live to tell about it.

Very small and made of wood, this cabin is located on the edge of the Forbidden Forest, and is home to the gamekeeper of Hogwarts. It is only one room, apart from the bathroom, with a bed, a small kitchen, and a fireplace.

There are many greenhouses on the Hogwarts grounds. There are some extremely rare plants in these greenhouses. The gardens surrounding the greenhouses are incredibly fragrant and beautiful in the spring and summer months, unless you have allergies.

The grounds and lawns at Hogwarts are incredibly expansive and beautiful in the spring and autumn, and probably incredibly difficult to traverse in the winter.

The large lake is also aptly known as the Great Lake and is located on the south of the grounds. It is home to the friendly giant squid as well as other magical creatures such as mermaids and grindylow. First-year students travel over this lake in boats to get to Hogwarts at the beginning of the year.

The Wooden Bridge

Covered by a roof to keep out the elements... kind of, this bridge is incredibly derelict, and is constructed completely of wooden. It begins at the clock tower courtyard, and leads to the sundial garden and the rest of the grounds. Although this bridge was destroyed in the Battle of Hogwarts, it was rebuilt... just as poorly, apparently.

The pitch is where each house teams hold their practices, try-outs and obviously were matches are against the other teams. There are six inter-house matches a year, concluded by one to determine who wins the Quidditch Cup. There are changing rooms for the teams as well, and stands for each house to watch the matches.

The grounds of Hogwarts are very expansive, with the lawns leading to the quidditch pitch, the lake, and the Forbidden Forest. Students would also come out here for Herbology class and some practical Care of Magical Creatures lessons.
