This city is just inland from Ireland's southwest coast, and is a university city with its centre on an island in the River Lee, which is connected to the sea by Cork Harbour. It is the third largest city in the country, and is a popular holiday destination because of its warm weather and huge coastline.

The capital city of Ireland is located on the country's easy coast, at the mouth of the River Liffey. It was originally founded as a Viking settlement, and the city of Dublin covers a land area of 44.5 square miles. It hosts Trinity College, that has many famous Muggle graduates (some of which were actually wizards and witches, of course)!

Galway is a harbour city on the country's west coast, and sits where the River Corrib mets the Atlantic Ocean. Its city hub is Eyre Square, and is surrounded by shops and traditional pubs that offer live Irish folk music. It is nicknamed The City of Tribes, after the fourteen merchant families who led the city during the Hiberno-Norman period. It is known for its vibrant lifestyle and numerous festivals, celebrations, and events.

This tiny island town can only be reached by magic. There aren't very many residents, but those that do live there claim to always be a little more jovial than others. Nothing about the harsh northern winters on the sea can even make them dull. Everyone's attitude has to have something to do with magic, right? No one is that... happy...

Ireland is separated from Great Britain to its easy by the North Channel, the Irish Sea, and St George's Channel. As far as Muggles go, it is politically divided between the Republic of Ireland, and Northern Ireland, which is a part of the United Kingdom. However, all of magical Ireland is apart of the Ministry of Magic in England.
