 I don't need to pretend right now.
@miranda
Quidditch was one of the things that brought the most enjoyment for Karel; he could play and talk about the sport for hours if he really wanted to, but he didn't like to rabbit on about things; he'd just quietly appreciate it and savour every moment he was on his broom. Karel had decided to go flying alone earlier that day, it helped to clear his mind and he needed to think about how to approach his agreement with Giacomo, he knew he could ask his Uncle for help looking through archives and various folders. Giacomo hadn't provided much help though, just his mum's name, age and job, just that. Karel hadn't questioned Giacomo about anything else; he knew that if he'd asked something like that, he would have received more of a life story from the Ravenclaw than he wanted, so he just kept their discussion to a minimum and got the necessary details to work on finding his father. The only problem for Karel though, was whether Giacomo's father would even respond.

Karel had a plan though, he'd owl his uncle and ask for him to look through names of people, he knew his uncle knew his way around the Ministry and his smooth talking, frequently went in his favour, so that wouldn't be an issue. The issue would be how up to date Fatima Verdini's information was, he needed to know about her so he could find birth certificates; maybe then that would be so help towards finding his father; unless of course, Giacomo's mother hadn't put the father's name on the birth certificate. Karel had to do all of this just so Giacomo could send an owl to a man that may not even respond. If Karel didn't need to focus on expanding his clientele, he'd have told Giacomo to shove it; to just send an owl asking his mother. But Karel was ambitious, he needed to expand on things, people, agreements. Besides, he needed someone who was good with animals to get the Moke's for another agreement and who better than Giacomo? It was a small price, but sometimes small payments were better than larger payments; especially when it came to Ravenclaw's who seemed to question everything and were sometimes, rather unreliable and untrustworthy in keeping things quiet.

Walking across the wooden bridge, Karel was so wrapped up in his thoughts that he nearly didn't notice the witch stood midway. He was about to walk straight past her when the smell of her perfume caught his attention and he slowed to a halt, glancing over his shoulder and a genuine smile flashed across his face. He turned on his heel and went straight back to Miranda's side, leaning on the railings of the bridge and making himself comfortable by her side. "What are you looking at, ljubica?" He asked, looking in the direction she was watching, he couldn't see anything of interest, so maybe she was lost in her own little world, but now he'd seen her. He wasn't going to let an opportunity to wind her up, pass him by.
