This is the tallest tower in the castle, and is out of bounds unless astronomy class is in session. However, just because it is technically out of bounds, doesn't mean that students don't seem to take advantage of it at times... But note that its reputation for a meeting place after hours makes it a heavily patrolled area by prefects and professors.

This classroom is located in the North Tower, and is only accessible through a circular trapdoor. This room looks like an attic, and is filled with small circular tables and chintz armchairs. It is always quite tim, stiflingly warm, and a fire is normally burning.

Gryffindor Tower is located behind the portrait of the Fat Lady, and the common room is a circular room great for relaxing after a long day. Filled with squashy armchairs, tables, and a bulletin board, there is also windows looking out at the grounds, and a large fireplace filling one wall. Dormitories are through two different doors, and up a set of spiral stairs.

Only Gryffindors can post in this board! If you have a plot that requires it or a reason to know the password, PM staff to get approval beforehand! Anyone else who does will be getting a PM from staff!

Head of Ravenclaw's Office

A Ravenclaw student would certainly find themselves here if they are caught doing any manner of troublemaking, though that would imply leaving the library long enough to do so. This office is comfortable enough, containing portraits and a desk, as well as a sleeping quarters in the back.

This is the castle's reading room, filled with hundreds of bookshelves and various tables and furniture. There are two entrances, one in the seventh floor corridor, and the other by the Fat Lady's portrait. Presumedly a rather fantastic place to study, or more interestingly do some rule-breaking.

The entrance to this common room is at the top of a spiral staircase, and the student must answer a riddle to gain entrance. It is one of the airiest rooms of Hogwarts, very wide and circular with arched windows. Students have a fantastic view of the grounds, including the lake, forest, Quidditch pitch, Herbology gardens, and surrounding mountains. There are tables, chairs, and bookcases, and a door that leads up to the dormitories.

Only Ravenclaws can post in this board! If you have a plot that requires it or a reason to know the password, PM staff to get approval beforehand! Anyone else who does will be getting a PM from staff!

Room of Requirement

This secret room in Hogwarts only appears when a person is in great need of it, and then it can transform itself into whatever that witch or wizard needs it to be. In order to enter the room, one must only walk by in three times while thinking of what it is they need.

Clearly, it would be very rare that a student actually know of this room. If you believe your character should know, shoot an admin a PM of the story of how they found it and they will deny/approve situationally. Anyone who posts here without permission first will be getting their thread deleted!

Twilight Turret

A small circular tower found near Ravenclaw common room that serves as a study retreat filled with plush leather seating, desks and of course many, many books. Shelves line the walls with copies of all the most popular books from the library and climb the walls to the ceiling, accessible by towering ladders which can reach the highest shelves. The decor is rustic with a roaring fireplace dominating the back wall and a bear skin rug covering the old wooden flooring in the center of the room. There is enough space in this room to comfortably take twenty or so students who want to study late into the night.

The special thing about this room is that it can only be found at midnight in the corridor outside. The door reveals itself as the clock strikes twelve and remains there for a minute until it vanishes again. Students who enter the room experience an extra hour of study time as this turret exists outside of the Hogwarts timezone. It is most popular with the students in upper years who are working late into the night and need all the extra revision time that can get. Although it is favored mostly by Ravenclaw students for it's accessibility the room is available to anyone who wishes to use it. Many students will work in their common room and then get to the Twilight Turret to bag themselves an extra hour of time before returning to their common rooms to finish their all nighter, although the room can serve many purposes other than simply studying.

The top-most floor of Hogwarts hosts many classrooms and two house dormitories. A pretty long walk to the ground floor, though, so that's a bit inconvenient for students trying to sneak into the kitchens for a late-night snack.
