Le Bain de Mélusine

Built circa 1825, this townhouse looks like many of its grand neighbors, with cream-painted stucco terraces, delicate cornices, a portico, and a first-floor balcony. The property benefits from five bedrooms as well as a study and separate office, both furnished with vintage desks. The large entrance hall features an impressive sweeping staircase and leads to the formal drawing room, a separate reception room, as well as a study on the ground floor. The walls are painted Parisian white, and the wooden floors are, of, course, parquet. Antique mirrors hang on the walls, angled as to not reflect the windows. The principal rooms of the house, including the first floor high-ceilinged drawing room, are south-facing with mature trees in front and then over the quiet cul-de-sac end of the street.

The house is connected to the Floo system, and is protected by smaller warding spells-- enough to give warning and some protection in case of riots, though are small enough to be inconspicuous among the Muggle neighbors. With the popularization of electronic devices, he closest neighbors have been known to have experienced some difficulty with such items in the rooms nearest to or facing the townhouse.
