Looking for a late night snack? Wanting to skip dinner in the Great Hall and eat "alone"? Sleep in on the day of a big exam? The kitchens is a great place to sneak off to, if one knows where to look. Located directly under the Great Hall, this room contains identical tables to the Great Hall. In order for the food to appear on the tables in the Great Hall, the house elves must simply place the dishes on these tables in the kitchens. If one does take the wonderful adventure down to the kitchens, they will discover over 100 hard-working house-elves. Gaining access is easy, of course, as all one needs to do is tickle the pear on the fruit portrait, which will then turn into a door knob.
