Caves La Merveilleuse

These caves are known as some of the most beautiful in the country, and were discovered in 1904 by a wizarding herbologist, attempting to track down a rare plant in the area. It has stalagmites and stalactites as most caves do, but it also has beautiful waterfalls and colourful rocks. Of course, visiting is only possible during the day, but at night, if one knows the right person, they might just stumble upon some wizarding folk. If so, they might grant you entrance down deeper into the caves, where a... small pub, of sorts, has been made. It's rustic, to say the least.

Since Dinant is such a small town, the magical presence is quite small as well. They do not have a street with anywhere near as impressive as the ones located in bigger cities in Belgium. Students wishing to prepare for schooling would have to travel elsewhere, however, down one of the side streets, witches and wizards need only to step inside of what looks like an abandoned shop, half destroyed by fire. Once inside, simply go through the back door, and you will find a beautiful terrance, with a few surrounding shops, as well as a restaurant and one bar. It is a small area, where magical folk can come together.

Meuse Hôtel

This hotel is located right along the river, and is only visible to magical folk. Any Muggle walking by would see a Muggle hotel, and next door to that, a closed down lace shop. But in between the two, lies the magical hotel. Meuse Hôtel is a beautifully decorated hotel, with small rooms for solitary visitors, and larger suites as well. It is not what anyone would call a, well, bon marché hotel. Bon marché means cheap, for anyone who doesn't speak the language.

Rose Boulangerie

Rose Boulangerie is one of the oldest shops in Dinant, and certainly the oldest bakery. It was founded by a woman named Rose Lejeune, who was one of the best bakers in the village at the time. People were always coming to her home, and asking her to make them something, and eventually she decided to make a shop of her own. It has remained in the family, and is in the same shop it was in when it was first made. It is rather small, but all of the baked goods are made daily, and at a very reasonable price.

Dinant

Dinant is located in Belgium's Walloon region, and is on the banks of the Meuse River. It is backed by steep cliffs, and there is a centuries-old Citadel that is now a museum. It is an incredibly beautiful city, and worth the visit.
