Audrey's

No one is really sure why Audrey's is called Audrey's, because the owner's name isn't Audrey at all... but this restaurant is known to locals and tourists alike as one of the prime places in Glasgow to find some traditional Scottish cuisine. Not the cheapest of places, you probably should think twice about darkening the doorstep in something as simple as jeans.

Buchanan Street

Most people know Buchanan Street as a center for muggle shopping in Glasgow, but if you head into the side alley just to the right of the bookshop, and you know how to get through the wall, you'll find yourself in the largest magical shopping quarter of the city.

Gringotts' Glasgow

Gringotts is the biggest bank in Britain, and it only makes sense that they would have other locations across the United Kingdom. Not nearly as fancy as the white marble building in Diagon Alley, and probably not nearly as secure, (No one has ever attempted to break into and ride a dragon out of this one after all...) this branch of Gringotts, like the London branch, is run by goblins, you'd be just as mad to try and rob it.

Old Blue General Store

This sounds broad, because it is. The general store has just about anything you could possibly think that you were going to need. They have everything, and when they say that they mean it. Do you need a new ribbon for that hat that you haven't worn in years but won't let go? They've got it. How about feed for the your hippogriff herd? Yeah, they've got that too. If you need a new cauldron, or a late night package of pumpkin pasties. This is your shop.

The Bent Elbow Hotel is crafted in rich red sandstone. The hotel has luxury bedrooms and suites, a lounge, the pub, and meetings and event facilities for up to 200 guests. You’ll find more than 100 Belgian beers at this firelit pub, as well as British cask ale, real cider from Somerset and an extensive wine list featuring 11 by the glass and 85 by the bottle. The dedicated whisky bar has – count them – 218 single malts. The Bent Elbow likes to do things its own way. Recently the pub has introduced Knitting Nights, whereby seasoned knitters or complete beginners can sit about in the comfort of a really good pub as they knit. Bonkers, but we love it.

Tony's Diner

A classic American Diner. It has the checkered floor, the red booths, the chrome bar with the sweets sat on top and the chalk board above the register. Red stools line the front of the bar in front of the serving hatch which gives a view through to the stainless steel kitchen. The milkshake machines are beside the till and music plays from the loud speaker above the kitchen. The perfect place for a sloppy joe.

Glasgow is a port city on the River Clyde in Scotland's western Lowlands. It's famed for its Victorian and art nouveau architecture, a rich legacy of the city's 18th–20th-century prosperity due to trade and shipbuilding. Today it's a national cultural hub, home to institutions including the Scottish Opera, Scottish Ballet and National Theatre of Scotland, as well as acclaimed museums and a thriving music scene.
