Character Name: @zahra
Age: 52
Ability: Wandless
Level Requesting: Expert
Why is this magical ability important to your character? Zahra grew up in Africa. Morocco, specifically and she went to Uagadou. Learning to use a wand was something that she didn't really focus on. There was no need to, and because of that she still doesn't use one to this day.
How did your character learn this ability, if applicable? For the same reason, she went to school at Uagadou, and wandless magic is something that is taught early on. Wands are a very European and American concept.
Any Additional Comments? She's amazing, I'm in love.
Have you read the rules? Yes, of course.
Role-Playing Sample of your character using this ability:

Zahra was making her notes as she looked examined the body that was laid out in front of her. Something wasn't right. There was something here, but she couldn't put her finger on what. She couldn't sort through all of this, and just see what it was that she was looking for. Something. There had to be something that she was looking for. And more than anything, she thought that she was just going to have to narrow the field. Taking out some of the factors would be for the best. Turning the light away from the area next to her Zahra waved her palm through the air, "Liltakhzin." The Interface opened in front of her without another word. Magic drawing, almost from the air as the system formed. Using her finger to sort through she looked around until she found Athena's notes on the case that she had seen from last week. Something seemed familiar.

Opening the body further with a spread of her fingers, Zahra took to examining the body in front of her with both her own notes, and those made by the other Unspeakables in the Death Chamber. There was something odd about all of this. Something that simply wasn't matching up. The Interface seemed to flicker next to her for a moment and it immediately drew her attention. It never flickered. It drew on the energy in the room. But her own energy was fine, it should have been drawing off of her, and off of whatever remaining magic was in the man laid out on the table in front of her. If it wasn't her own magic flickering, it had to be his. But why?

Flicking her hand again through the pages of notes that they had collectively stored in the system, Zahra paged her way to her own locked files. "Nashr." Notes opened before her, pages of them. Of prophecy. Of death. Everything that she had written about, and stored in the system. Shaking her head she muttered the spell again, and closed her fist around the area in space where it had just been. Something was wrong here, they had all seen it. There were abnormalities in files. But Zahra couldn't find the pattern. There was one. She was sure that there was. Nothing ever happened in the world without numbers. That much she knew. All she had to do, was find them.

Character Name: @zahra
Age: 52
Ability: Animagus
Level Requesting: NA
Why is this magical ability important to your character? She has always been gifted at Transfiguration, and part of the process of going to school where she did at Uagadou, is the tradition of the animagus. Learning the discipline that it took to become an animagus, while still in school, helped prepare her for the discipline that it takes to get through her life. There are more lessons in just this than just the ability to turn into an animal.
How did your character learn this ability, if applicable? The concept was introduced early on in Uagadou, and with Zahra's proficiency for Transfiguration, she took her desire to learn to her professor, who aided her with the process.
Any Additional Comments? She's a leopard. A really pretty one, with bright, dark eyes. There is a Z on her tail, when she changes forms. It's little, and unless someone points it out to you you can't really see it, but it's there, just before the tip.
Have you read the rules? Yes, of course.
Role-Playing Sample of your character using this ability:

It had been a long time since she had paced the halls of the house as a leopard. Something about it though, seemed to have a calming effect. Her mind was spinning. There was something wrong. Something was wrong with the world itself, and she didn't think that Chris was believing her. He wasn't disregarding what she was saying, but Zahra had been talking about how dangerous England was for years now. Since they had arrived really. And thus far she didn't think that she had seen the evidence to prove her wrong. There was something about it that was just, complicated. Something about it that made her feel like she needed to watch over her shoulder, to protect her family from something that even then she couldn't see.

Padding down the hall to the kitchen she jumped onto the counter and sprawled out on the bar. Her tail twitching back and forth ever so slightly as she settled in to watch what was going on. It was the middle of the night, and Chris was asleep. The children having grown, and moved out on their owns made her anxious when feelings like this one hit. But she wasn't going to smother them. They were free to live their own lives, and make their own choices. She had had that freedom, and so would they. Keegan and Audrey were more important to her than anything in the world. But whatever was coming, Zahra couldn't protect them from it.

Movement outside the window caught her eye, and the twitching of her tail ceased. She didn't move a single muscle as she stared intently out the window for a moment. There was something out there. It wasn't even that there was something coming, because it was already here...

Character Name: @bones
Age: 37
Ability: Wandless
Level Requesting: Intermediate, preferably?
Why is this magical ability important to your character? She's-- well, she was a Hit Witch. When hunting down Dark mages, it gives her a half-step up in having a backup option in case when it comes to duelling, she's disarmed or her wand destroyed. Also, what with most of her family having been murdered, she's got some (not undeserved) paranoia she might be Next, and she ought to protect herself, her children, and her mother.
How did your character learn this ability, if applicable? Others, mostly. Seeking people out, being taught by some higher-ups.As an adult, mostly during her time in the Ministry
Any Additional Comments? i mean she doesn't often beg even in the bedroom but she's pretty hopeful
Have you read the rules? yes
Role-Playing Sample of your character using this ability:

She'd drawn the short straw a-fucking-gain, she reflected, as she tugged at the rope binding her wrists. Just because the training exercises needed to get tougher, didn't mean she had to fucking get the more complex ones each and every Morgana-damned time. There were a few not-entirely legal ones that were tossed in, and those were picked for her every fucking time. She didn't mind them, really, as effort to train and practice (and the showing off wasn't bad either), but she'd gotten the longer one where they'd needed to go to a different country. Where she didn't know the language. Afuckingain.

Eyes narrowed, Susan listened in the darkness. The speakers-- was that Russian? Or something else Eastern European?-- were far enough that she would have a good element of surprise. Something was digging into her back-- her spiked braid, they'd left a few in, clumsy again-- and while technically she might be able to scrape it between her hands to wear at the ropes, she wasn't quite so desperate yet. She twisted her hands enough to get a finger half-cocked on the twine. Her finger stung, and she let out a smile. Reinforced, then?

"Finite," she whispered, tapping the rope harder, and the stings stopped coming. The pain in her finger was manageable, another few twists later, she had more fingers on the outside. "Evanesco." Her wrists tingled, but the rope stayed. She muffled another curse. "Evanesco, fuck your mother." The binding Vanished, and she rotated her wrists, pleased that the curse had made it successful. She Vanished the binding on her ankles, stretched for thirty or so seconds to get the blood flowing, and made a beeline for the door. She paused, listening to see if she could hear traps. A Homenum Revelio would help her more, but alert her 'captors'. "Bombarda Maxima," she flung out a hand and the door exploded outwards.

The usual grin stretched over her face, adrenaline thrumming throughout her body, and Susan wordlessly Summoned the nearest heavy object as she came at the first of her fellow Hit Wixen. Oh, she pitied them.

Character Name: @eskender
Age: 30
Ability: Wandless
Level Requesting: Expert (he has been learning since eleven years old, after all)
Why is this magical ability important to your character? Part of his schooling at Uagadou
How did your character learn this ability, if applicable? Uagadou
Any Additional Comments? Nah
Have you read the rules? Si
Role-Playing Sample of your character using this ability:

Eskender had been working on perfecting this particular spell for a while now. Dismissing a boggart without a wand could prove helpful. One never knew what tricky obstacles life would throw his way - or enemies, of course. Sometimes, the greatest attack was the most believable one, not the most harmful one, and boggarts were very believable. He gave his professor a nod and the older man opened up the chest. A shadow, loomed out and then all of a sudden… it was spreading all over the floor and shifting like a mirage to appear as a canyon hundreds of metres below. The image stretched all the way to Eskender’s feet, until he felt like he was on the edge of a cliff with nothing to hold on to. His heart was racing, going a mile a minute as his eyes couldn’t tear away from the sight before him - and at the same time, he wanted nothing else than to look away from the terrifying sight before him. Heights was a peculiar thing to be scared of, and so rarely did a boggart take that shape… but here it was. Eskender’s truest fear.

In the next moment, he steeled himself. Jaw set with determination, Eskender raised his hand and waved it over the scene, with a confident, “Riddikulus!” In the next moment, the canyon morphed into a hopscotch grid on the classroom floor. Eskender let out a sigh of relief and looked up to meet his professor’s eyes with a proud smile. An impressive accomplishment for a thirteen year-old. And nothing less for the Magical Le’ul of Ethiopia.

Character Name: @seamus
Age: 38
Ability: Fire Elemental
Level Requesting: Expert
Why is this magical ability important to your character? Runs in the Kavanagh family (his maternal side) and uh pretty important to his job tbh
How did your character learn this ability, if applicable? From his mother, initially
Any Additional Comments? Non
Have you read the rules? Oui
Role-Playing Sample of your character using this ability:

There was a time when all of this would have seemed like a warning. A bedtime story parents told to teach their kids to be nice to others. And now... now, it was reality.

Seamus didn't think he would ever find himself in the middle of a war, yet here he stood. A battle. It was a little unreal, and not at all in a good way. For all of the shite they had gone through this year, for all of the practice that Dumbledore's Army had done, a part of him had hoped it would fizzle out to a peaceful end. Because that was the optimistic thing to hope for, of course. Maybe it was the older brother in him speaking out there, hoping that Aileen wouldn't have to get caught in the middle of a war. There was a reason he had made sure to send her off with the rest of the younger students - even though she had complained that fifth year was hardly that young. But it was. Because Seamus was eighteen this year and even he didn't really want to be here. Unfortunately, he had duty to own up to, as well. And that was more important than any deep-seated desire to just run for cover. There were people here that would count on him, because they know who he was and they knew what he could do.

McGonagall knew, and now he was more than grateful to his mother for actually putting him and Aileen to work to perfect their elemental magic. Kavanaghs had always been Fire Elementals - it was what had made them such successful Dragonologists for centuries. And that was why she had sent him to the bridge. To take it down. Well, this he could manage. Waving his hands in unison, fire sparked in each palm. With another swing, the fire was flying into the air and landed with a loud thud on the bridge - followed by a creaking groan as the bridge started to give way. Others joined in throwing spells, and with a another wave of his hands, the flames grew in an instant and engulfed the whole bridge. Seamus watched it crumble and let out a small, satisfied breath. One thing at a time... and maybe this would be the last battle.

Character Name: @antonin
Age: 91
Ability: Legilimens, Occlumens and Wandless
Level Requesting: Expert for all, he's not this old to have nothing to show for it
Why is this magical ability important to your character? Because two wars and Tom
How did your character learn this ability, if applicable? His father, Antosha, taught him when he was in Hogwarts and afterwards he perfected in while in Russia for university.
Any Additional Comments? It's Antonin Dolohov.
Have you read the rules? Yes.
Role-Playing Sample of your character using this ability:

Antonin spit on the ground, watching blood stain the kitchen's tiles red. There was sweat tricking down his brow and his breathing was still heavy, but he was mostly unharmed. That was saying a lot, really, because two of the younger recruits were still knocked out cold. Bloody idiots, coming after the Prewetts by themselves. Just two young bastards and Walden, they should all have known better. Lucky for them, Ramsay and he had heard about all this nonsense and come after them. They weren't even supposed to be here, Fabian and Giddeon had been planned for next week, it had all gone to pot and Antonin needed to know who was to blame. Otherwise they'd show up before Tom and have to explain this entire fiasco and someone was going to get punished for it. Antonin could handle a cruciatus curse, he'd be fine, but that didn't mean that he wanted to. Someone had given them the wrong orders, someone had told one of these little idiots to grab their friend and tell Walden they had orders and come over here. He may have been unconscious but Antonin had no issue with being a little invasive. Privacy was for people who didn't make mistakes.

Extending a hand, he twisted his fingers and made a bottle of whiskey move from a distant shelf. It poured half a glass and then set itself back down, then the glass floated to him and he took a sick. He couldn't help but pull a face of disgust. Whiskey was the worst, but he couldn't expect these two blood traitors to have any decent vodka around here. No, of course not. So he got to his feet, hearing Walden and Ramsay start to tear the house apart. Taking what didn't belong to them- they should just burn the entire place and be done with it. Burn it around the corpses so that nothing would be left. Fabian and Giddeon were laying on the carpet, practically torn to pieces. Neatly, though, because Antonin didn't believe in desecrating the dead. He summoned one of the unconscious bodies, moving his free hand- where had his wand ended up? Somewhere on the table, or on the floor, he'd dropped it when sitting down- it came closer and the mask peeled away. Too young, barely older than Titus. Well, that didn't matter anymore. "Legilimens."

It took only some seconds of searching to pull up the memory he needed. A face, clear as day- of course, all just a misunderstanding. All just stupidity. They'd almost lost three people and the opportunity to get the Prewetts just because this brat didn't know to interpret orders properly. He could feel anger and irritation boiling up and he knew that whatever punishment Tom decided on would be far crueler than anything he could do. So he waved his hand again. "Avada Kedavra." There, while he was asleep. Didn't even torture him as punishment. What was the good in punishing for something that was mere stupidity? There was no cure for that, stupid people didn't become less stupid just because they tried to be. They had no use for this kid, so that was the end of it. He washed the anger away with another sip of his drink but it only served to make him more agitated. Disgusting swirl that it was.

Suddenly, he felt a scratching at the confines of his mind and his eyebrow twitched. "Will you stop that?" Antonin turned to the door, spotting Walden, still bloodied up but looking much calmer. The man only raised an eyebrow at the now dead boy on the floor. Antonin didn't answer, he only ever owed Tom explanations, no one else. So he flipped his old friend off and tossed the glass over his shoulder. It shattered but he'd cast a shield charm already, holding his hand up to stop any shards of glass from hitting him. Summoning his wand, he levitated the other boy with a hand. "Tell Ramsay we're leaving. You two do with the house and bodies what you will."

Character Name: @vincent
Age: 23? 24? 22?
Ability: Occlumens and Wandless
Level Requesting: Intermediate for both
Why is this magical ability important to your character? As member of the Dolohov family it was always important for him to be someone they could be proud of. It is a skill all Dolohovs try to cultivate and he would not skip out on his own part.
How did your character learn this ability, if applicable? His great grand uncle Gregori started teaching him Occlumency at fourteen and wandless was part of the duelling club practices in Koldovstoretz, as well as Uncle Rotislav's teaching. At home, he and his cousins Alexandr, Olesya and Pyotr were all taught.
Any Additional Comments? Nope
Have you read the rules? Yep
Role-Playing Sample of your character using this ability:

Vincent let out a small yell as he was blasted off his feet, and then a pained sound as he hit the wall behind him. Shit, his head was spinning and it only had half to do with the hard surface. There was no time to whine about it, though, he'd dropped his wand and- hastily, he rolled to the side and avoided the first curse his dedushka sent at him. The next was parried with a hasty protego, though he knew it was weak. He needed focus for these more advanced spells and in the middle of a duel, that was rather lacking. So he reached out a hand and summoned his wand, because he couldn't duel with only wandless magic. Not yet, he could only use it as an aid.

"Пошли, Вика. вы можете сделать лучше, чем это!" Rostislav came closer and then- pain shot through him and his hands rose immediately to his head. It was- his uncle was trying to force his way in. He knew how to counter it, he did, it was just hard because the man was so skilled at it. Focus, he had to focus. Clear his mind, breathe deeply. Concentrate and... force it out, force it away- in a handful of seconds, the pain faded and he let out a sigh of relief. When he looked up to resume the duel, though, a stunning spell hit him in the face. Of course, Rotislav had taken the few seconds to take him out.

Character Name: @diana
Age: 33 i think?
Ability: clairvoyant, elemental earth (and, if possible, water as well but i'll accept only one, it's cool)
Level Requesting: intermediate/expert, whatever you think appropriate
Why is this magical ability important to your character? the whole clairvoyant thing...it made her pretty special amongst the elves? they highly prize The Sight and whilst Diana didn't have all of it, it was still enough to mark her as different. besides, she rather like confusing people with her half predictions. as for the elemental thing, her mother has it and it's the only sort of magic the elves can practise - another thing that took away the taint of being human and helped her...belong. Diana is fully human and she doesn't know if there's a connection, the elemental ability, and she doesn't care. it's part of her, just like the forest she grew up in is. it also helps a lot with her healing, so
How did your character learn this ability, if applicable? nope
Any Additional Comments? idk if it's too much? but she's not magically strong in normal ways and almost can't do offensive spells. she's just...very nature inclined. maybe it was the magic of the forest, maybe she was born weird, maybe it was lack of practise with her actual witch magic? she just uses her elemental abilit(ies)y a lot more than her actual magic
Have you read the rules? yes i did
Role-Playing Sample of your character using this ability:

Eun-Ji's garden was a mess. Well, technically it was their garden now, wasn't it? Not that Diana had told her melethril about that particular decision and she didn't think she would, not any time soon. She'd let the other witch figure it out for herself. She was smart, Eun-Ji, far too much sometimes with her desire to want to know everything, and surely she'd realise something when Diana just...didn't leave. The castle was a dreary place to live in, her quarters barren and drafty. She'd cast a few warming spells over it but it felt...dead. The tower was too high and Diana preferred to be in places she could feel the earth around her. Not stone, though that was helpful in a way. But the living, breathing earth that nurtured everything that existed. In comparison, Eun-Ji's townhouse was charming and homely. Diana much preferred being here and she was sure her melethril would get it. Or she wouldn't and would chalk it up to Diana being Diana.

Regardless, she'd have to do something about this barren piece of land that Eun-Ji called a garden. This wouldn't do. The earth felt- not dead but hurt. Starving. For both affection and, you know, actual minerals. It would never be, if treated by normal magical means, a lush place. The soil here was too poor and it had been neglected for too long. But Diana didn't need to use normal means, did she? Kneeling on the ground, not caring that her pale blue dress was getting dirty, she smiled and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, placing then both her hands flat on the ground. The earth resonated around her, through her. It called for- not help, it wasn't sentient in that way. But it understood basic emotions such as need. So it needed. It didn't know what but Diana knew, she could feel it. And she'd give it. Slowly, he pushed that special part of her into it, in gentle, healing waves. It wasn't like casting a spell, that pulled in a certain way. It was- the same sort of energy but it tugged differently. Diana had only once tried to explain, to her edhellen teacher Imrahil, and he could not have helped her - for he was not a wizard.

It would not be created in a day, this garden. Really, she wouldn't be able to see any difference now. But she could feel it, as she'd felt the lack of everything, that it was starting to mend. Slowly, but surely, this would flourish and be green like it had never been before. Smiling, Diana pushed her fingertips deeper into the soil, humming under her breath a song that she'd heard many times sung by the Tawarwaith responsible for the growth of the forest. "Mi norath annui di Anor, loth Echuir aen eriar, gelaidh tuiar aen, nîn rimmar..." Soon, this would be a proper garden. Maybe they'd have tea outside, she and Eun-Ji. With the thick scent of flowers and blooms, at a time that was not clouded in shadow and uncertainty. Maybe Diana would tell her melethril, what awaited them all. Maybe she wouldn't. Time would tell. For now, she'd pour her heart into the earth and help it heal.
