[attr="class","cbody"]Being without magic had not been easy on the man. He had been left without an outlet—without any kind of purpose. He hadn’t had anything to do and, conversely, his wife had been busier than ever. Being Minister for Magic in the middle of a crisis? That had left her busier than ever. She had to figure out how to keep the government running when it had been close to falling apart. That had meant dealing with every department of the Ministry as well as making sure that everyone was doing everything that they could. Hell, it meant dealing with Lucius Malfoy of all people. And Rodolphus didn’t care for the Malfoys.
[break][break]
When he could taunt them, yes, then they were quite fun to be around. It was easy for him to get under the skin of Malfoy men. It always had been. It barely even took violence. Most of the time, it only took words. The last time he had seen the younger Malfoy had ended up being quite amusing, but he couldn’t even recall the last time he’d had an actual conversation with the elder Malfoy. Rodolphus still was not overly impressed by the man. Malfoys were, after all, cowards. There was no reason to be impressed by him.
[break][break]
But he did have power in the Ministry now. And, with the Ministry falling apart in some ways, his department was more important than ever. The last thing that he could ever accept was thinking that Lucius Malfoy had more of a purpose than he did. That was just absolutely unacceptable. Rodolphus didn’t care all that much about power in the Ministry, technically speaking. From everything that he could see, the more power a person had in the Ministry, the more paperwork they had to do. And that was just extraordinarily dull.
[break][break]
Griff had given him a position back in the aurors’ office, and Rodolphus had tried to see if that would help him. If it would give him something to do. He had wanted to see if doing paperwork was better than doing nothing at all. In some ways, it had helped. But not in the ways that had mattered.
[break][break]
So, he had come up with another plan. It had involved a young Squib that he had met last year—it was hard to believe how long ago it had been, actually. She had been quite willing to please, and quite eager to learn. Now that he was bored, that sounded like a fair bit of fun to him. He had decided that he might as well get in contact with the woman and see how much fun she could prove to be. Breaking her, bending her to his will… it all depended on his mood, honestly. It had been a while since he’d had a pet. But it was not all that difficult to remember how it went. Little compliments and presents and he could have her doing whatever he wanted her to do. And he had very little complaints about having a young and supple body free for the taking. She was very pleasing to look at, after all.
[break][break]
Not half bad with clothes on either, though he preferred her without them. Today, unfortunately, would not be one of those days. He had decided that she’d earned a bit of a reward, so he had taken her out shopping. Spending some money on the Squib was not difficult to do when he had so much of it. If buying her a few new dresses and some lingerie made her happier and willing to serve him better, that was an easy thing to do.
[break][break]
Rodolphus knew that she could use some more clothes anyway. So, he pulled open the door to the shop to let her go in first.

To the outside
the dead leaves, they're on the lawn
Before they died, had trees to hang their hope

The Lord Lestrange had asked her to wear white when he had summoned her to his castle. So, now Lilith tried to wear white as much as possible when she saw him. The squib had little knowledge of what pleased the man, but what she had she acted on and continually sought to accumulate more and more of. To be useful to such a man, it gave her life a semblance of meaning and purpose. She could hardly believe it still, that such a man would spare a moment for her.

She showed her thankfulness and appreciation for his consideration by giving completely of herself. She was fixated on pleasing him, on embracing the purpose that service to him gave her. Her quality of work had not changed at Borgin and Burke, but the purpose of her going there had--she had felt indebted to Lady Burke, unworthy of a pure witch's kindness--and she still did, but now instead of just seeking to get by, she had a purpose for the wages she earned. She had spent her entire savings on white dresses.

But today, they weren't behind locked doors. The pair of them moved through Diagon Alley--crowds parting for man with the public honor, respect, and for him showing in the conscious and subconscious avoidance by the other shoppers of inhibiting him. She had a place at his side--even though she did not find her way there. Her submissive nature had manifested in her walking a step behind the man. She was close enough to him, though that she was accompanying him. This had more impact on the squib than the times venturing out with Lord Nott had.

When Rodolphus opened the door for her, she could have fainted or wept. The simple gesture was not one that she would ever anticipate or fail to appreciate. A smile lit up her face and she looked up at the man with such wonder and admiration. Every feature of her youthful face professed her worship.
"Thank you, my lord." she breathed out, slipping past the man and into the boutique.

There were so many beautiful exquisite garments filling the space. It felt sinful that she would even step foot in here. She was not worthy to own such beautiful things...but this was not about her worth. This was about him--if it pleased him to see her in any of these things, then she would wear them without question or hesitation. A tentative hand was raised to touch slick silk. The cool fabric drew a sigh from her lips, the sound bordering on longing tinted by marvel.

Hazel eyes glowing gold went from the rack of dresses to the face of the Lord Lestrange. Since their first meeting in Borgin and Burke so long ago, she had grown more comfortable with meeting his gaze. She still blushed under his eyes, but she met them. She searched for words to ask him what the intent of their visit here today was, but struggled to come up an appropriately respectful wording to inquire. A swirl of embarrassment and nerves tightened her stomach and more color crept to her cheeks and she had to drop her eyes from his face. This still felt so much like a dream. She was sure she would wake up any moment. But days had kept passing and she was still claimed by the man.  She still had some value to him. Theodore, her father and brothers might have left her, but Rodolphus had come back for her.

"Would this please you?"
She asked, her fingers still attached to the silk dress.  It wasn't white, but she ached to feel the cool, smooth fabric against her skin. It was the type of dress she would wear with nothing underneath to indulge in the feeling of the silk against her as much as possible.

[break][break]
[attr="class","cbody"]He had not known why Lilith Malvolia had come to his mind all of a sudden. But she had. For whatever reason, he had thought of the day he had run into her in Knockturn Alley. He’d thought of her easy blush, her obvious innocence, and the surprise of her body underneath her clothes. As much of her bosom had been visible in the dress she’d worn that day, he had still found himself pleasantly surprised by all of what she had to offer once he’d rid her of that dress. Full hips, a shapely ass, long legs… yes, she had been quite the surprise back then.
[break][break]
But he had not thought all that much of her since then. He had gone on with his life. Thinking about a girl that he’d deflowered in a shop was not something that he’d bothered with all that much. There had just been no reason for him to seek her out again. Not reason whatsoever.
[break][break]
Much had changed in passing months, though. It had started with the epidemic though, in all honesty, he thought there was a chance that it had started far before that. But it had certainly gotten worse when he had gotten sick during the epidemic. He had never pictured life without his magic. He had never thought that he would be practically reduced to being a Squib, but it had happened nonetheless. And when his symptoms had waned, when he had been technically healthy again, he did not know what he was supposed to fill his time with. Most of his time had been spent experimenting in the dungeons with whomever was down there, or in his office working through new curses. He couldn’t do any of that anymore.
[break][break]
Rodolphus still could have found people to fill the cells of their dungeons. He could have tortured them with Muggle methods, which he found to be surprisingly enjoyable at times. There was just something so… starkly violent about resorting to fists to harm. Muggle weaponry had its perks as well. It was certainly something that he could still do if he really wanted to. But that had come to a halt after Andromeda’s meeting with Potter and Shacklebolt. The deal that had been struck—immunity for any crimes that had taken place prior to the meeting. That meant that if he got caught doing something particularly illegal after the meeting, he should technically be arrested for it.
[break][break]
He didn’t think that his wife was going to have him arrested for beating and torturing Muggles in their dungeons but he did think that she would nag him about it until it ceased to be enjoyable. So that had just been off of the table. That was when his mind had gone back to Lilith Malvolia. Hearing her moans and screams had been quite enjoyable in another way entirely. Would she be fun to break? Did he even want to break her? He wasn’t all that sure. A part of him enjoyed her reactions to the simplest of pleasures. She had been doing well for him so far, and since money was really nothing to him, taking her shopping was an easy choice to make. She would get some new clothes out of it, and he would get the privilege of seeing her body in those clothes—and out of them, of course.
[break][break]
Shopping was hardly all that entertaining for him, generally speaking. He did not often find himself clothes shopping for himself or for anyone else. If he wanted to get Andromeda a gift, he usually knew exactly what he wanted to get her and he sent a house-elf out after it. He knew what his wife liked. But Rodolphus was not all that sure that Lilith was even aware of what she liked. He thought it was about time she figured that out. As long as it was also what he liked, of course.
[break][break]
The dress that she had been drawn to was just that. It was definitely something that he liked. He could imagine her cleavage spilling out of it, imagine her thigh peeking through the high slit. He was also quite partial to silk—yes, he definitely liked the dress. But that was just not the point just yet. “Does it please you?” He said instead, raising his eyebrows at her curiously.

To the outside
the dead leaves, they're on the lawn

The shoppe was filled with so many beautiful things. Lilith felt out of place among them, even though working at Borgin and Burkes had helped her grow more comfortable around finery. She felt unworthy of anything in this place. But this was not truly for her. Not really. Anything purchased here would be worn in service to The Lord Lestrange. He was worthy of much more than the wares of this place. This was what she told herself to assuage the nerves she felt tightening her stomach and racing her heart.

The urge to touch the lovely garments was just too much to resist. She let the fabric slip through her fingers and a content sigh passed her lips. It was all so beautiful. She could only hope that the things she took interest in would be pleasing to her Lord. It was so terribly important not to disappoint or displease him. She just knew so little about clothing. The squib tried  her very best to remember the tips the shop girl had given her before. Lilith had paid close attention then because it was important to know what might please a man. She had listened closely to the harlots for this same reason.

She knew the areas of her body that the man favored with attention--that men in general tended to enjoy gazing upon. The woman tried to find things that could accentuate those features. Lilith was in love with the silk dress even more she turned her eyes from it to look up at Rodolphus. She ached for him to say yes--to reward her with that affirmation...but the words from his tongue moved her even more than the simple reply would have. Would it please her? Her breath caught in her throat as she nodded her head. A breathy "yes" was promised off her lips as her cheeks flushed with the loveliest pink blush. "Very much," she added, dropping her eyes from him and looking back to the dress.

It was staggering that the wizard had met her question with the mirrored question. Lilith was elated by this entire experience. She took the dress she so very desperately wanted down off the rack. She did not imagine that Rodolphus had brought her here simply to buy a single dress. That would be a waste of the man's time. No, if they were here together, it was for more than one garment. She let the shop girl take the dress from her, but declined the girl's help. A mannequin sported a short floral number. It was quite modest in the front, but it was the back that gave her pause. Her eyes widened and she looked to Rodolphus. Her mind had drifted back to other experiences with the man. Blush was coloring her cheeks again. "This pleases me," she said softly, drawing her full bottom lip down under her gleaming canine.

[break][break]
[attr="class","cbody"]His mind had gone to Lilith for whatever reason, and he had decided to see what would happen if he wrote to her and summoned her to the castle. Rodolphus had been sure that she would come. No part of him had thought that she’d even think to deny him. Even from their brief meeting last year, he had learned enough of her to not believe it was in her nature to deny a man anything. So, on a whim, he had written to her, and had told her to come to the castle. He had no thought of trying to see her elsewhere. He had known what he wanted from her, and why should he come to her to get her on her back? No, summoning her to the castle had been the only choice, really.
[break][break]
He had known that Andromeda wouldn’t like it. If he had invited her to join him, she would have played at being darker than she was. She had those moments. Moments when she wanted people to believe that she was a Black, that she could scare and intimidate the way that a Black should. But he did not think that was something that she had inherited. It was not something that they all had. Narcissa had no inherited such a gene either. Bella… of course, she had. She had been the Black that everyone knew, that everyone feared. No matter what Andromeda did, she would never hold that fear for herself. Even if he put a plaything in front of her like Lilith, he knew that she’d play the part. But she wouldn’t be fooling anybody.
[break][break]
And he hadn’t wanted his good time ruined by that. He had made sure to summon Lilith when he had known that Andromeda would not be around, for that precise reason. He wasn’t even sure exactly where she had been. Off with Rabastan, perhaps. At the foundation. He didn’t know. What had mattered was the fact that she was not home, and he could take his time with the Squib that he had brought into his home.
[break][break]
Her body had been as good as he had remembered. And this time around, he had been able to take his time with her, as he had been unable to do in the dress shop. He had introduced her to things that he had not been able to before—pain mixing with pleasure in such a way that she had surely never experienced before. There had never been pain without pleasure. He was in a good mood, so there had been no reason for it. Rodolphus was sure there would be a time when she would catch him while in a poor mood and he would take it out on her, but that hadn’t happened that time around. Instead, he had just enjoyed her. Enjoyed her reactions to everything that had hurt and felt good throughout the time that they had been together.
[break][break]
Rodolphus had not summoned her thinking that it would be something that would happen again. But it had put him in a good mood—by his standards anyway, for the first time in over a year. For the first time since Andromeda had made the ridiculous decision to take the Ministry for herself, honestly. Now Lilith was his pet, and he knew that buying her clothes was an easy way of making her happy. The happier she was, the more she would be willing to do. And, when a bad mood did strike, it was much more fun to tear down and demean a happy person. Building her up only to break her down would likely prove to be an enjoyable game. Time would only tell.
[break][break]
He knew that he’d pick out some things to buy her even if she hated them. Things that were his tastes, that he wanted to see her in—and then likely rip off of her. But letting her pick out what she liked was important too. “Well, then it is yours.” It was easy to please her with these things, but it did leave him wondering when the last time she’d went shopping was. Did she even know her own size? He didn’t want to buy something if it didn’t fit her—having to come back here because she’d chosen incorrectly would annoy him. “You’ll try it on first,” he decided, waving over a store associate. The girl took the dress from Lilith to start a fitting room as they moved on. The next dress was… different. Not as much of his taste, but he did very much enjoy the back. When she spoke again, he raised his eyebrows. “What pleases you about it?” Something was on her mind, and he’d rather like to hear how she decided to answer that question.
