general appearance
Poppy takes after her parents and older brother Sorrel with dark hair and bright, inquisitive eyes. She pretty much looks like a smaller and more feminine version of him, and personality wise... Well, it's pretty much the same. Poppy loves fashion, and can be seen wearing rather dramatic makeup, even to class. She's constantly smiling, too, much to some people's chagrin. She loves making homemade beaded bracelets for her friends, and she usually has three on her right wrist. Poppy doodles on herself a lot, too, and usually in constantly changing ink. Her ears are pierced, and she sometimes wears mismatched earrings, though that's mainly on accident.

skills
Makeup - She's actually really good at this. Her face (or Althea Abbott's) is her canvas. Her brushes are... well, her brushes. Poppy spent a lot of time staring at magazines to match these things up, and she has an eye for blending, now. And which colors make your eyes pop. It's probably the best way to express yourself, in her opinion.

Art
- Well, abstract art. And doodles. And it's probably not best to list this as a skill, what with her really just enjoying it. She isn't too good at the whole art thing, but she loves it enough to want it listed. Being creative is fun!

Jewelry Making
- Woo! Art that she's actually good at! Poppy likes making silly beaded bracelets for her friends. They usually have some silly quote on them from something that's happened during the year. She has quite a few herself, and she puts a lot of thought in them. They're a bit childish, but so what? It makes her happy.

Riddles
- She's good at them. To say that she's good at guessing is one thing, but she actually can list point for point why the riddle makes sense.

Flying
- Maybe it's just in her blood. Like her brother, Poppy is more than a decent flyer. She loves being up in the air whether it's Quidditch or just flying around.

Making Friends
- She's super outgoing, so Poppy can make friends almost instantly. With a warm personality and a personable attitude, she likes to keep people around. Of course, it sometimes seems like she's just...collecting people. But she loves making friends!

Eidetic Memory
- She can repeat just about everything that she's seen. It's helpful for trivia, which is what she mainly uses it for. And it also helps her keep people around, since she can remember just about everything about them.
weaknesses
Public Speaking - Right, so... She clams up and misspeaks each time she tries to make some sort of speech. A presentation is instantly ruined when Poppy gets involved; she's the one who does the writing, and then someone else does the talking. Otherwise there's a mash of words that barely make sense.

Rule Breaking - She literally cannot break a rule. If there's a curfew, she's there early. The latest that she's every been was five minutes late, and Poppy thought that was the most rebellious act. She's always following rules as much as she can. She hates disappointing people.

Competitions - She's just not a competitive person. It's why she won't commit to being on a Quidditch team. She just does things to have fun. Top in the year? Why would she want that?

Friends & Siblings - She'd do just about anything for them.

Picky - She hates it when things don't go her way. Really hates it. She has her ways, and she's set in them. Her foods, her mannerisms...
positive traits
Creative, Sweet, Caring, Friendly, Studious, Relaxed, Charismatic, Smart.
negative traits
Childish, Nervous, Awkward, Clingy, Picky and Opinionated, and really hates not getting her way. A bit spoiled, too, in a lot of people's eyes. Doesn't quite recognize the privilege that she has.
hobbies/interests
The Muggle World, Herbology, Quidditch (wouldn't be a fai child without this huh), Muggle and Magical Fashion, bother Sorrel for the most useless advice ever...

character history
Poppy Doge is the middle child, if you could ever guess it. She doesn't really share any other traits with her birth order, but she does hold family very dearly in her heart. Sorrel was three when she was born, and there's the most darling picture of them together. When she was younger, she was doted on by her elder brother and her parents. It was an extremely idyllic life. They lived near a lake in a small, mainly magical village. They swam in the summer and picked apples in the fall. She had a love for nature, passed on by her mother. She spent a lot of time making 'fairy crowns' for her and Sorrel and Andrew. She sat contently as her brother learned to play guitar, and she stubbornly insisted that she sing to accompany it. Really, most of her life was hunky dory! Even now. Her parents never quite tried to tell them what was happening around the world. They didn't think it was something that kids needed to deal with. They put on a happy face when around them, and Poppy genuinely didn't understand the chaos of the world around them until she was about twelve. And even then, she really doesn't understand it at all.

Sorrel went off to school at eleven, quickly and quietly. Her days were a bit lonelier, but she did have Andy. He hadn't left her yet. So, at eight and five, Poppy and Andy bothered their mother constantly with needs for attention. She taught them about the plants outside, about different animals, and she tried to keep them from messing up the garden and the house. Poppy spent a lot of time reading or hanging around outside, still weaving her flower crowns and wanting to talk to everyone that she could. She wished she had more friends her age, but Andy was still a good one. They read books together, came up with different stories... The two of them had an imagination that couldn't quit.

Then, she finally got her Hogwarts letter-- because she knew she would, of course. She had been showing signs of magic pretty early on, making flowers sing and petals dance.

Changes happened all around the world, and it was hard to keep track. She had made friends in her first year that were gone later, and teachers floated in and out so often that she felt dizzy. But she kept stable. She stuck to her guts and she stuck with her friends. She made it halfway (well, sort of the way) through puberty, and now she can conquer anything! Her grades haven't slipped, despite her getting flustered when called on in class, and her cheery ways have stayed strong.

family history
A family of historians, the Doge's have spent their lives documenting what happens in other people's lives (rather than their own). Originally Dutch, they moved to Ireland in the early 1800's and set up shop. The first Doges kept a history of ancient magical times, though at least one a generation moved on to different pursuits (though they were generally looked at with frowns). Elphias Doge kept with his family's core, though, when he was born in 1881. He caught Dragon Pox at a young age, and was friends with Dumbledore. We really all know his story, of course; there are records of it! He married at thirty-nine a young witch by the name of Eliza, and had a rather illustrious few years as a jurist and Wizengamot member.

The family also has Order of the Phoenix ties, starting with Elphias. After, the family remained sympathetic to that cause. Alastor and Andrea provided safe houses during the second war, though they mainly kept out for the sake of their grandchildren. Philip provides, currently, a heavy amount of funding to the Rising Phoenix Project and any other Order endeavors.

They keep rather quiet about it, of course, being more sensible and logical folk. It's rather rare to find a Gryffindor in their pack, after all. The Doge family itself is rather well off, leaning more on the upper middle class spectrum (with it being fair to say that this line is lower upper class). Catherine (after her first date with Edgar) had been rather shocked at the large family home the first time she had been there, coming from a lower middle class family.

Pending!

Hi babe!

So with her current birth year, she would be 13, not 15! If you want to make her 15, just change her birth year to 2004!

That’s it though!
