You're Wild at Heart,
And I'm just wild.
Things were finally starting to look up for the people who had been born like her, the muggleborns. She wasn't quite sure if she'd class herself that anymore; more like a half breed now but at the same time it was all just technicalities for the blonde. The fact of the matter was that Lyra was no longer on the run, no longer a fugitive hiding out at Tessa's stables. She was free to be herself again. One of the first things she'd done when she'd heard the news about the registration being removed Lyra had wasted no time in going to apply for University once again. She wasn't going to let her lycanthropy get in the way of her continuing to pursue her dream. She still wanted her animal reserve filled with muggle and magical creatures alike and studying Magizoology was just one small step towards her achieving her dream.

She'd had a moment of panic though when the removal of the band had been reported. Tessa had taken her to a side and said that if she didn't want to stay in the farmhouse that she didn't have to, the panic must have shown however because Tessa went on to say that she wasn't telling her to leave, just that there was the option there, but the blonde didn't want to. Lyra had found a family in her pack, she was safe and loved and in return, she loved her pack with everything she had. Maybe after graduation and when she was in a much better monetary situation, she'd move out on her own, but for now, she wanted to focus on her studies come September. That wasn't to say she didn't pull her weight around the stables. She'd been offered a job shortly after expressing that she wanted to stay and she'd eagerly agreed. Lyra had even gone so far as to say she didn't want to pay, that what she would have earned working could have gone towards living with the older witch but after some discussion they'd come to an agreement and with the money she'd had left over from her muggle waitressing job - what she'd been saving for a rainy day - the blonde had decided to come to the Alley to buy herself a much-needed wand.

Lyra had wanted a new wand for a while, since before the registration had been removed but she knew that would have risked being caught so all the blonde could do was wait it out. After not being able to help Honey during that recent storm though, it had pushed her forward. She'd hated seeing the mare so distressed and had been relieved when Zero had shown up and been able to do what Lyra couldn't, that it had just been that little extra push. Now strolling down the alley with her new wand in hand, she felt almost... excited, she was finally getting her life back on track and that was all she had wanted for months.

The blonde had been so caught up in her thoughts that she all but ran into someone and she had to step back, a slightly panicked look flashing across her features, "Oh, I'm so sorry- Faith." Lyra said quickly, her eyes widening ever so slightly, she hadn't seen her housemate from Kolna since... well, since she'd fled. Lyra would admit she was relieved to see the other witch was still alive and kicking, but for a moment she was worried that the witch would be mad at her, "How uh- how are you?" She asked hesitantly.
