PUREBLOOD FAMILY REGISTRY
As everyone is well aware, we have had a halt on original pureblood characters on the site that come from any newly created families. We have kept it to canon families and original families already on the site and have been keeping track of the numbers to make sure that our ratio of pureblood to halfblood/Muggleborns was accurate, as there was a point where we had far too many to be realistic. However, our numbers have shifted to the point that we now deem it as time to lift the pureblood halt and allow the creation of new pureblood families and characters.

But in a change from how we did it before, we will not be allowing just a free-for-all of all the new pureblood families. While our numbers of purebloods is and will remain at a realistic number, we don't want ten new families sprouting up when there really would be a limited amount of pureblood families in the United Kingdom and the world in general. But we are opening it up for a reason, and that is because we will be accepting one new pureblood family a month. If you are interested in creating a new family, you will just have to fill out the form below with some information to get that family accepted. Now, saying that we are accepting one does not mean we will definitely accept one. If we get three applications for a new family in a month, we might still choose not to accept even one of them if we don't think that the information provided is enough, if they are too similar to another family, or any number of reasons. So while we will accept a maximum of one a month, there might be months when we choose to accept none and tell anyone who applied the reasons why we didn't accept theirs and what they could change to improve the chances of their family being created.

Also note that you cannot post an application for anyone in this family until they have officially been accepted. All characters/adoptables will have to wait until they have been chosen.

Keep in mind also that we will have listed below all of the canon and original pureblood families. Instead of creating your own, you could always look at the available families, especially in original families, that have members you could pick up for adoption. It gives you a pureblood character that makes sense, without having to make a new family, and also keeps our family numbers more under control. However, if you do wish to apply to create a pureblood family, please fill out the form below. Since we are posting this late in the month, we will be accepting applications until the 31st of July, and a new family will be potentially chosen then. Bear in mind that it would be more realistic and easier to choose from one of the families that we already have.

[b]Family Name:[/b]
[b]A Brief Family Summary/History:[/b]
[b]Family Tree:[/b]
[b]Is this the full family tree, or a branch?[/b]

To see any examples of family trees, you can look further down on this page to see the original family histories that we have compiled so far!

Note: We are currently not accepting any pureblood families from Great Britain. If you are interested in potentially starting a new family, please stick with only foreign families for now. This is due to the Sacred 28 of canon purebloods and us not wanting an unrealistic amount of original pureblood families from the area.

Original Pureblood Families

UK Families

[attr="class","box4"]Jameson Family
Timete Vero | Honour the Truth

Family History

The Jameson Family originated in Ireland in the Middle ages with Gregory Jameson who was the first son born to James and Meredith. Literally translated his surname means the son of James. From there the family expanded across Ireland and into what later became the United Kingdom. They were both of noble blood while some branches died out due to mixing with those of lower socio economic social classes. Those that stayed true to the family’s Motto, Timete Vero, went on to flourish and establish an unbreakable name for themselves. The family have also believed in Honouring the truth. Though history suggests that the family never fully agreed on what that meant; Some took it to mean that they always thought they were far superior than anyone of a halfblood status or even other pureblood families.

Despite this the wizards of the Jameson family always married pureblood witches. That never changed. The family estate was always passed down through the generations, however the family did own a vast number of properties around the country, often using them as Summer or Winter residences, however they saw fit. Many generations later saw Noland and Delilah Jameson residing at the family estate with their three sons. Phillip, their youngest, lost his life to a severe case of Dragon Pox at the age of seven. It devastated his older brothers and his parents. Arthur and Kendrick got older and went on to marry and have their own families over the course of time.

Noah and Arthur like many generations before them held different views on what the truth actually was and how best to honour it. Noah took the approach that the magical world should be reserved for pureblood families only. Arthur took the other approach however, he saw that everyone who had magical blood in them should be apart of the world. Noah and Katherine were both Death Eaters and they thought their only son from a young age what it meant to be a pureblood, Bradley still holds these views close to his heart to this day. Noah tried to convince Arthur and Margaret to join the group many times, on his last attempt when they refused again, he murdered them. Jacqueline and Ophelia were left as Orphans following their parents murder and went to live with their maternal Aunt, ironically back in Ireland.

[attr="class","box4"]MacGuffin Family
Rotione Non Vi | By Reason, Not Force

Family History

The MacGuffin family was a prominent Irish pureblood family in the early days, but they slowly fell toward the bottom of the ranks as the modern age took hold of the wizarding world. What they lack in power in wizarding society, they made up for in witty one-liners and creative solutions. Most attended Hogwarts where they were sorted into Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw. Though they are not considered a “well-known” pureblood line, they can trace their roots as far back as the middle ages. They stuck to marrying mainly other Irish Families — sometimes breaking into the sacred twenty-eight’s rankings — however, as time progressed they brought French, Indian, Latvian, German and Chinese roots into the family, increasing the diversity of the MacGuffin lines.

Most closely related to the Zhāng and Macmillan families, the MacGuffins believe in blood purity, but as a means of preserving their family’s legacy, not in the sense of superiority. Intelligent, friendly, and sharp-witted, the MacGuffin patriarch, Deaglan, will often encourage discourse regarding what it means to be "pureblood" around the dinner table.

[attr="class","box4"]North Family
De Pura Et Superbia | Purity and Pride

Family History

The North Family is English to the tee they have a long history that can be traced back to the middle ages from where they moved Lancashire and established the family home that still stands to this day. They hold tradition close to their hearts and this is passed down to each and every generation and it is ensured that the next generation know not to sully the family name or bring the family into an unfavourable reputation. This covers every detail of their lives from who they associate with and who they marry to who do they do business with. It is family import/export business that deals solely in magical items that is passed down to at least one male in each generation. It is expected of them really. Should there be no male then it expected that the son in law take over the business at some point.

Should any family member need to associate with muggles their interaction is closely monitored so that they don’t get swayed too much. This of course held true until Eliza North met her now ex husband Warren. She was considered as bringing the family into disrepute and family hardly acknowledge her or her daughters now, if only to maintain appearances. It is considered that each and every individual of the North family know how to behave at all times and as such they are given etiquette lessons from a young age and are expected to behave in a proper way at all times, whether that be in private or public. The family are overly concerned about anything they do being seen as ‘improper’. It is why they don’t publicise their support for the current ministry regime or the Death Eater group. Lucas North currently instils this in his daughters heavily and keeps a close eye on what they do and who they associate with, even going to the extent of arranging a marriage for Imogen with a foreign pureblood family as to keep the line pure.

[attr="class","box4"]Devereux Family
Guarder la flamme | Keep the Flame

Family History

The line, to their knowledge, started with a young red-haired prostitute, who is thought to be both half-blood and likely a nobleman's daughter, likely illegitimate. She disposed of her first name, and went by her surname, which was slurred into a single word: Devereux, from D'Évreux. The whore Devereux, as she was then known, captivated the men who went to her, having an unnatural pull over them (thought to be either the Imperius, or a love potion). She was treated well by the men she served, and as she grew older, she grew in fame until she was a high-class courtesan, training her eldest daughter into the position as well. The last of her children were rumored to be the sons and daughters of Muggle nobility or royalty, as implied by the way she named her children.

Devereux's children wed their children together, and wed the scions of Devereux's still-noble siblings, drawing the family lines closer and closer together. In 1350, when Devereux had been dead for four years, ambitious relatives, seeking to make themselves great, betrothed the boy who would lead them in his elder age to a pureblood girl of a similar age. By this time, Devereux's children had grown wealthy enough that a pureblood family who had fallen on hard times might look kindly on them. Once they married above themselves, they continued to reach, and within two generations, had settled themselves in pureblood society.

Infighting nearly destroyed the family sometimes after, with natural sons and trueborn daughters fighting to receive what they thought of as their rightful inheritance. The current Châtelaine at the time(the Head's elder sister, rather than his wife who had died a few years back) favored one side, and sent the others to distant countries, after marrying them to cousins who had stayed loyal. The exiled Devereuxs and their spouses, while bowing their heads, started new lines of Devereuxs in their countries, attempting to capture the power their relatives had.

Once that was settled, Devereuxs took a stance of marrying those in power, preferring what they called "the whore's stance", which they claimed was in honor of their harlot ancestress. While the lover of many a powerful man, she had not sought riches or wealth; therefore they would not seek to become the leaders of their countries and cities. Since then, it has become all-too-common to find Devereux members wed to powerful people, on the arms of people seeking to rise to power, or the like. While extremely well-respected and in the upper positions of French families, they're sometimes referred to as a "twice-damned red weed", for their hair color, their numbers, and the way they're nearly impossible to avoid.

[attr="class","box4"]Han Family

Family History

The Han family was a prestigious, pure line that dated back just as far, if not farther, than the Kims. Records began with Han Byeong-Ho and his wife, Gang Duri. Their six children, all boys, married equally pure women and continued the line with a son each. As time wore on, and the pureblood population slowly dwindled, the Han family began accepting halfblood partners--most often for their daughters, though they allowed it for a son if another married pure. They remain a strong influence and a well known name among purebloods to this day.

[attr="class","box4"]Kim Family

Family History

The Kim family, while not particularly large, is an old one. Records date back more than a dozen generations ago, beginning with Hyeon-U and his wife, Eun-Ji. Like most marriages of the time, theirs was arranged. They had four children, two of which married other purebloods, while the other two married into old, nearly-pure halfblood families. Each generation, at least one pureblood child married into another pureblood line, while the rest married halfbloods of good standing. Unlike some other pureblood families, the Kims weren’t particularly strict about things, so long as the line continued pure in at least one child. For those that had only one child, it was imperative that they marry pure, and such marriages were arranged as early as possible by the parents.

[attr="class","box4"]Kopitar Family
Kri Je Resnica | Blood is Trut

Family History

The Kopitar family can trace their ancestry back to the early 8th century. Notorious for inbreeding through the 9th and 10th centuries, the family was part of a small wixen community in what was then known as Karantanija. Louis the German recognized Vojnomir, the head of the Kopitar family, for combative magic performed on the battlefield, gifting a great expanse of land to Vojnomir, as well as declaring him a Duke.

The rulers of Slovenia would shift as powers of the world shifted, but time and time again, Vojnomir's descendants managed to align themselves with the victor. Even as one generation lost the family's wealth, the next would regain it doubly so. In time, the surname Kopitar was adopted.

German, Italian, and Eastern European pureblood families were solicited to strengthen the genetics of this bloodline. Domžale, Slovenia became the homestead for the Kopitar clan. Study and mastery of the dark arts was encouraged for all descendants, both male and female. Women were always expected to be as competent with a wand as any man. The family was heavily involved in Grindlewald and then Voldemort's efforts to uplift wixen society.

Kopitars believe in wixen superiority. Those who do not marry pure are shunned. They believe in the power of secrets and influence. They are not ones to rush to positions of leadership or publicity, much preferring to work from the shadows. You will not find a Kopitar running for an election, but do not be surprised if they are heavily funding candidates.

[attr="class","box4"]Maenlarys Family

Family History

The Maenlarys are a Norse-Gael family originally, who are extremely well-known and respected in Denmark; their seat is in the Faroe Islands.

The clan started with the marriage of Sigurd 'Snake-In-The-Eye' Ragnarsson who married Princess Blaeja of Northumbria (daughter of Aelle of Northumbria) sometime in the 9th century. Other than the kid he had with his cousin (who ended up being founding the Svínfellingar line) he had seven kids with Blaeja, four of them Squibs. Three of the children ended up magical, and refuse to live with their bastard sibling in Iceland, and settle in Britain. They were extremely proud of their mother Aelle's royal blood. After leaving home, they changed their names from named Aelle (after the grandfather), Ragna and Víf (the name of Sigurd's lover), to Visenya, Aegon, and Rhaenys.

The Maenlarys settled in Ireland, on Rathlin Island, where for twenty or so generations after, they planned and got power, played with a few dragons, made a few prophecies that somewhat came true, and made questionable marriage choices. After the Tudor conquest of Ireland (and. . .Henry VIII in general) made the place a little unsafe (okay, pretty unsafe) for wizards to be so the family decided to go back to their Scandonavian origins. The squib siblings of their ancestors left descendants in Norway and Denmark so that was where they headed (with the dragons). There was only one Wizarding family residing in the Faroe Islands and dragonfire was a good incentive as any for them to move. Slowly, but surely, the Maenlarys carved a way for themselves into the thick of political power in Wizarding Norway, all from their seat of power in the Faroe Islands (late 1500s).

After a couple of centuries, the Maenlarys family became the premier family in Norway and one of the first in the Scandinavian countries. They typically marry within the family, preferring to keep the power to themselves, but occasionally married outside-- either other Scandinavian mages (there's a rumor about one of the wives a century or so back being Veela, or part-Veela), or even more occasionally, mages from other countries. Three brides in the past century have been foreigners- two from important pureblood Gujarati families (Maya Patil, Dhanya 'Dianna' Desai), and a bride from England. When the Faroe Islands were given from Norway to Denmark in the 1800s, the Maenlarys did well, and kept most of their power, switching from Ministry to Ministry, while keeping a foot firmly planted in the Norwegian Ministry. Faroe Islands, after all, were not large enough for their own Ministry, and was strictly a Scandinavian country

fter the coup in Britain, the other families in Denmark became suspicious. Since the Maenlarys were purists, there were concerns that they might "do a Wentzell" and seize complete power. The Maenlarys were chased out of the country, and returned to Britain. They reclaimed and repaired the estate in Ireland, as well as brought a home in London.

The family as it stands at the moment starts in England with Aegon Maenlarys and his wife, Betha Alioth. To sum it up-- geographically, more Norwegian. Politically: Danish.

Betha's family settled much more in one spot than the Maenlarys family. Phineas Black (disowned son of Phineas Nigellus Black) married Jane Arundell, and had a daughter (Lyra) with her. Lyra had a child with the son of Charlus and Dorea Potter (Altair). Lyra refused to name Altair as the father because it would spell trouble. She named her child Betha Alioth, drawing upon the tradition of her father and Altair's mother for a surname. Thanks to the Potters suddenly becoming a line of blood traitors some years after Altair's dragon-related death, Lyra kept the truth of her daughter's heritage hidden. While she of course, made her daughter aware of her family, she impressed upon the girl that her father's (not-so-close) cousins were not to be met with-- simple enough, as Betha was seven years older than the surviving Potter and unlikely to interact with such a distant cousin, much less the Chosen One.

[attr="class","box4"]Malvolia Family
Ad Usque Fidelis | True to the End

Family History

The Malvolia line is a long-standing bloodline of Italy. Records documenting the pureness of the family date back hundreds of years. Rome is and has always been the seat of power for this family. The majority of the family remains in the city to this day, though few have spread over the world. Power plays in society and in the family are long established as commonplace for this vicious group of purists. Politics and even religion have served them well. In modern times, to be of Rome is to be of the Vatican--and the Malvolia's have had long had influence over the Catholic church. They have placed several of their bastard children upon the the papal throne to act as puppets for purist interests globally. Though few of the family have ever held any belief in Christianity, there have been no shortage among the clan to see the usefulness of religion in controlling and misleading the non-magical animals of the world. Prejudice runs high in this family--and has for decades upon decades.

Members of the family aligned first with Grindelwald and then with Voldemort and now with the Death Eaters to rise up and assert dominance of the purebloods over all others. Children are indoctrinated from birth with prejudices in regards to blood purity and magical superiority. Blood traitors, bastards, and squibs are not acknowledged on the family tree. There have been a sharp rise in the number of squib births in the modern generations. This is not discussed--and the family takes significant measures to hide this fact. There has been an abundance of cousins marrying cousins throughout the history of the family, but in the current generation a concentrated effort is being made to bring new pure lines into the tree. As such, even sons of the main line, which currently reside in London, are considering matches with second, third, and fourth daughters born to second, third and fourth sons. Sons of the subsequent branches are seeking marriage with any pure line, even the poorest of families--but this is all being done with the utmost discretion.

[attr="class","box4"]Mountbatten Family
Vita et mors, statera | Life, Death, Balance

Family History

The Mountbatten’s are a different sort of English pureblood line. The family originated in German, but upon the rise of Grindelwald the family changed their name from the old German of Battenberg to that out the more accepted form of Mountbatten, so as to further themselves from the unrest that centralized around the Dark wizard. The Mountbatten’s themselves though were always in favor of those same dark tendencies and principles.

A house of one son’s each generation of the Mountbatten family is small for that precise reason. Andrew Mountbatten, the current head of the family, became the Head of the family when both of his parent died some years back. He was an only child, having been, like his father before him, the first born, and alas a male. There was no further need for more children. When it came time for Andrew's father Louis to arrange his son to marry he looked elsewhere besides England for a bride, and chose Anicka Wentzell. The only daughter of the ruling House of Wentzell in the Czech Republic.

Together the couple have five children, the youngest of which is their son, Philip. As the war was drawing to a close Andrew took precautions and moved majority of the family’s wealth and holdings out of England. Being Death Eaters both of the remaining Mountbattens, Andrew and his wife, were tried and sentenced to the work camp. Anicka was released, since her final pregnancy with their son had taken her out of England at the time of the final battles. Anicka has given the reins of the family over to her son since his father's death last October, and though she is still there to help, but Philip is the one running the family now that his mother has once again taken her Czech name, and title.

[attr="class","box4"]Remnikov Family
Мы истекаем кровью, мы строим, мы продолжаем | We Bleed, We Build, We Continue

Family History

The Remnikov line is one of the oldest known lines hailing from Volgograd, Russia. Their records place them there hundreds of years ago, though it is believed for them to have been prominent in the area much longer. Starting in 1555 the Remnikov records detail the rise of the city of Tsaritsyn as well as the rise of their bloodline to power. Three of the most prestigious pureblood lines banded their territories together around the city forming what is presently known as the Volgograd Oblast. The Remnikov's and the two other families formed a ruling senate in which each house could submit their eldest male heir to hold a seat in the governing body. The first Remnikov сенатор (senator) being Bogdan Remnikov followed by his son Vladmir Remnikov thirteen years later. The three families worked in tandem to create, what they believed, was the ideal territory. The area became very affluent as did the Remnikov family. They were well known for their lavish parties, plentiful wine, and their successful trading business. The Volga river provided much in ways of riches all around.

As the incline of muggles in the area rose the Remnikov line became very particular about blood purity. It became popular belief in the area that pureblood magic was stronger than that of muggleborn or halfblooded magic and citizens were warned ofthe dangers of mixing blood. In 1703 it became law in Volgograd that any ruling senator be of pureblood and the Remnikov's became adamant about making sure the rules were followed. It was then that they created the Отдел юстиции, or Justice Department, was formed. The Remnikov's pushed for stricter laws about blood purity. This was the beginning of a very purist belief system within the family which then became passed down and amplified throughout the generations.

In the 19th century the territory of Tsaritsyn experienced their greatest population increase, bringing forth a new mix of pure, half and muggleborn witches and wizards. The Remnikov's were the first to propose a ban on any muggleborn's being able to practice magic. With the large influx of differently minded people there was an obvious rift in the territory and in 1917 the Russian Civil war took place. The Remnikov's had long been practicing the dark arts and with the aide of their fellow pureblood houses managed to maintain their position until the war ended in 1923. In 1925 muggle Soviets renamed the area Stalingrad and the name stuck. The territory was renamed Stalingrad Oblast but the Remnikov's held their seat on the senate just the same.

As muggle issues further pressed on the area the Remnikov's became well known for their patriotic love for their Oblast. They publically became more generous with their riches in order to gain stronger popularity through the citizens. The Remnikov's were always known to be an ambitious group of individuals and it was believed that the сенатор at the time, Vadim Remnikov, was looking to overtake the government seats solely for his own namesake. Such things never came to fruitition as in 1942 the muggle forces began their decent on Stalingrad. The three houses, Remnikov's included, banned together in order to protect their territory and magic peoples. The already popular Remnikov name gained even higher praises as Vadim was able to hold off muggle enemy fire through a series of concealment and protection charms.

The Battle of Stalingrad ended in 1943 and by 1946 the Remnikov's had aided in the full reconstruction of their beloved territory. The war had brought the three houses closer once again and any rumors of overthrow were completely squashed. In 1961 the territory changed their name yet again to Volgograd Oblast. While the name had changed the Remnikov line still held a seat in the senate. While the generosity of their once great ancestor has died down the name Remnikov still receives high praise in the area. In 1998 the Remnikov line seemed to come to an end with the last living Remnikov heir, Alexi Remnikov, beginning a relationship with a muggle woman. All hope was nearly lost for the ancient line until recently when the estranged halfblood son of Alexi managed to have his father carry on their family name through the means of a pureblood woman by the name of Bailey MacDougal.

The Wentzell’s are an old, royal smaller family from the Czech Republic. Their ancestors have always been long associated with the Dark Arts, and anything that had to do with black magic. There was a row a few years back (okay a lot of years back) and the family has since broken into factions. Claudius Wentzell was cast out by his older brother, the new king, upon their father’s death. The family is small but powerful, or they strive to be, and over the years many members of the family have found their way to the United Kingdom. Whether that be through force, or by arranged marriage, or simply out of a need to get away. The Wentzell family has made England their home, even if the Czech Republic will always be their country for the main line.

Surviving members of the family stem from both of the brothers, Ondřej, the eldest and the king upon their own father's death, and Claudius, the youngest. Claudius Wentzell died of an aneurism in 1966, only two years after being forced out of the Czech Republic by his hateful older brother. He had one son, Ares, before his wife remarried. The other living Wentzel’s hail from the Czech Republic itself, and they are Ondřej's children. The elder Wentzell had three children, just like his own father, two boys and a girl. When his youngest son was a small child Ondřej’s wife, Queen Clara, took Dominick with her and moved back to England 'to look after her ailing father'. The elder two children, Crown Prince Josef and Anicka, the Princess Royal, were left in the Czech Republic with Ondřej.

All four Wentzell children received proper educations. Josef and Anicka were sent to Durmstrang, while Ares and Dominick were both sent to Hogwarts and sorted into Slytherin House. Three out of the four survive, and two of those, reside in England, while Josef, who has taken the throne only in the last few months after the death of Ondřej, and his wife, Matylda and their son are still ruling in the Czech Republic. Anicka relocated to England when her father set her up an arranged marriage to Andrew Mountbatten, the only son and sole heir to the Mountbatten line. Since Andrew's death the family has moved on, and they are all trying to do their best to heal in the only ways that they know how.

CANON FAMILIES
[attr="class","box4"]Here is a list of contact people for the canon lines! Note that having the line does not mean complete and full ownership of a line. If it seems like you are unwillingly to let people into your line if there are openings, or adding too many purebloods when they are a minority, staff can step in to let you know. But these people should still be contacted about the families! Just consider them the contact person for anything having to do with this canon family!

Family Name: Devereux.
A Brief Family Summary/History: As briefly put as possible: Young whore, her descendants were very fond of cousin marriage, and hate it when their main line don't have redhead kids. French family, prefer marrying those with influence than becoming influential themselves.
A fuller history of their founder can be found under Aelis I Devereux (born 1246) on the tree. Random other info about members can be found under Édouard Anjou (1300) (trigger warnings for Bad Stuff), Isabelle I Devereux (1323) (trigger warnings for Other Bad Stuff), and Acel Devereux.

Is this the full family tree, or a branch? It's the main branch. Whole family tree for the first few generations, and their relatives. Devereux really starts with Aelis (who has a Sophie Turner PB), goes into her kids, her sibling's kids, and then a few of their kids. The more important descendants of hers have pictures, names, and kids.
It skips like 500 years and then goes into the main branch, of which there are 56 of though it looks like more thanks to the incest

Family Name: Maenlarys

A (not-so) Brief Family Summary/History: The Maenlarys are a Norse-Gael family originally, who are extremely well-known and respected in Denmark; their seat is in the Faroe Islands.

After the coup in Britian, the other families in Norway became suspicious.

Another month, another real struggle for me to pick what family to accept! All of these are great entries, and will be in the running to be accepted at the end of this month as well! I will be putting in any notes on what needs to be changed to be accepted, as well as some advice on any improvements that could be made.

This month, THE MAENLARYS FAMILY HAS BEEN ACCEPTED!

Xanthos and Canopus Families: Both histories are great so far, but you can never go wrong with a bit more detail about the family's history as far as marriages, alliances, where they settled, etc. Very good basis, but always room for more information! :D

Family Name: Bast
A Brief Family Summary/History: The Bast line dates as far back as 3100 B.C., basically as early as written language in Egypt. Records weren’t meticulous, admittedly, but they were clear enough to prove them pure and that was all that mattered. Originally believed to be descended from Ra--and later Horus--the Bast line has always carried with them the knowledge that they were essentially royalty, and expected to be treated as such. The first recorded member of the Bast line is said to have married a daughter of Sobek, the god of strength, and they had many sons. From there the line continued in their third son, who married a child of Khnum, the god of fertility; and their only daughter, who married into children of Thoth, god of scribes. As a result, the records for that branch were much more detailed. At some point, distant cousins married other distant cousins which brought the line back to itself, before it branched out again, and so the cycle went.

After a while, sometime around 400 B.C.E, a Bast son married a child of Set, the god of darkness and evil, and that’s when things went a bit...sideways. From there, they were much more strict about marrying pure, where the line before had only required one son or daughter to marry pure, they now demanded that all did. Unafraid to marry into other countries to achieve their goal, eventually a daughter of Bast married a Shafiq which resulted in the birth of Heydar and his sister, Nasrin. The male line, however, continues in Egypt to this day, currently headed by Kadar and his wife, Sabirah.
