CHARACTER NEEDS/BANS

The concept of this list is really quite simple. There are three sections.

• There is a 'Needs' section, where we will place characters that the site has a distinct lack of. This are characters that we are running low on, and that we could definitely use more of.
• Next, there is a 'Danger' section. These characters are in danger of being put on the bans list if we get too many more of them before our numbers equal out, and thus you should perhaps take that into consideration when thinking about making that kind of character.
• Finally, there is a 'Bans' list. As much as we don't want to have to ban anything, if there comes a time when our numbers are incredibly out of whack, certain groups will be temporarily banned until everything equals out a little bit. If a group is banned, no character within that grouping will be accepted. No exceptions. And you cannot complete an app and just let it sit in New Character Registrations until they are unbanned. You will have to wait until the numbers are equal to even submit an app.

This will include specific Hogwarts houses, even though you cannot technically choose your student character's house, as you all know. But specific houses will still be placed in these sections, to avoid a situation where we have 25 Gryffindors and 5 Ravenclaws, because that really isn't fair as far as house points go! Although for the most part, these will be actual groups on site, there are situations where we might ban something more specific - on the off chance that too many people are doing similar plots, etc. Let us know if you have any questions at all. Free App Group of the month is: Pyxis staff and students!

_{To anyone who forgot, free app group was announced last month. It just means that every month, we will pick one group that we're in need of to be free for the month. That means that apps will be accepted all month regardless of you needing posts for new characters, of being on AR, of having just deleted someone, etc. Just note that this does not apply to anyone going above 25 characters, and that pureblood percentages still apply! At any point, staff can deny a free app if the member in question is not actively posting and has more than half of their characters on AR.}

Free App Group of the month is: Publication employees!

_{To anyone who forgot, free app group was announced. It just means that every month, we will pick one group that we're in need of to be free for the month. That means that apps will be accepted all month regardless of you needing posts for new characters, of being on AR, of having just deleted someone, etc. Just note that this does not apply to anyone going above 25 characters, and that pureblood percentages still apply! For jobs, we are well aware that it would be pretty easy to just slap a job on someone in order to make them a 'free' app. Because of this, we will not accept any job transfers off of a free app character for three months after their acceptance to avoid anyone giving someone a job just to get them accepted right away, only to remove it. At any point, staff can deny a free app if the member in question is not actively posting and has more than half of their characters on AR.}

Jk. Nickelback references wow me. So, yes. Free apps this month are for people in the music industry. Because why not?! We need more of them!!

People have asked for a list of who is not eligible for the free app group because sometimes it is hard to keep track! You might not know if you were on AR last month or when exactly someone was deleted so for reference, here is who is ineligible for free app group this month:
