RUBEUS HAGRID

After the Final Battle at Hogwarts, Rubeus Hagrid remained employed as Groundskeeper for many more years. His half-brother, Grawp, remained in the Forbidden Forest, although the centaurs were not necessarily pleased about this. He spent most of his time with Grawp, and helping to bring the school back to its former glory with his infamous pink umbrella... when people weren't looking, of course. He is still a member of the Order of the Phoenix, though the group doesn't obviously have much to do at the present moment. Although half-giants have a natural longevity that meant he could have continued working at Hogwarts for quite a long time, he decided to retire in 2010, and did a bit of traveling with Grawp. Since he can't exactly have a giant around with him, Hagrid did eventually go back to their tribe to bring him back, although he was saddened about it. But there wasn't anywhere for a giant in the U.K. after all.

Because he commonly went to Diagon Alley, as well as Knockturn Alley when he needed supplies, he has been well aware of the treatment of Death Eaters and families as it continued to deteriorate. He was incredibly loyal to Headmistress McGonagall, even though he no longer worked there, and that meant that he did not like or trust the new Minister. The man seemed to have an agenda, one that Hagrid did not at all trust. He was keeping an eye on everything that was going on, able to blend in slightly in Knockturn Alley due to being a 'half-breed,' and that is where 'his kind' habit after being persecuted by the Ministry; although, some people do recognize him as being a supporter of Harry Potter.

What he is doing now that Death Eaters are in charge of the Ministry is up to player.

NEVILLE LONGBOTTOM

For a very brief time after the Final Battle, Neville worked as an Auror and helped with the trials and work that Minister Shacklebolt needed done. However, once everything that begun to calm down, he contemplated what he wanted to do next. Finally, he did leave the Ministry, and decided to pursue his love of Herbology. He decided to become a herbologist, liking the idea of having a job that he was more in control of. Neville would have contemplated taking a job as the professor of Herbology, but the position wasn't available in any case. He enjoys his work as a herbologist, learning and becoming more of a specialist in the field as the years go on. Neville has even written a book on the subject, about more rare plants, though he is contemplating writing a more basic and updated book to be used by Hogwarts students.

His parents, who had been in St. Mungo's since being tortured by Bellatrix during the First Wizarding War, are now deceased. Frank Longbottom died in the year 2009, and Alice followed soon after in the year 2013. As far as his opinions on the conditions and treatment of Death Eaters and their families, Neville thought that although Kingsley had good intentions for this work release, it has now been twisted into something entirely negative with the work camp in Knockturn Alley. He disagreed with it, and was very cautious and liked to make sure that the Order of the Phoenix still had meetings, as he believed that it was very possible that something bad is going to happen. Clearly, he was right

Up to player if he is married, has children, as well as what he is doing now that the Ministry has been taken over by Death Eaters.

LUNA LOVEGOOD

Once the final battle had concluded, Luna stayed around London for the trials of the Death Eaters, especially since she had to speak at the trial of the Malfoys and anyone that she had seen while prisoner at Malfoy Manor. But once those trials had concluded, she took up work at her father's magazine. She worked particularly on articles about magical creatures, traveling the world to find these creatures and report on them. Once her father retired from the position as editor, Luna took over and the magazine has continued on its rather odd path, though sometimes there is the occasional article about something useful, especially as the the treatment of Death Eaters continued to worsen. This is because the Prophet clearly does not report on this, really, always skewed by the Ministry. She is a member of the Order of the Phoenix, and is still good friends with everyone from school.

She married Rolf Scamander, and they have two kids, Lorcan and Lysander Scamander-Lovegood. She now owns the Quibbler, as well as being a magizoologist.

DRACO MALFOY

Draco was beyond terrified at the trial for his family. He had spent almost two years of his young life working alongside his father with the Dark Lord; seeing things that no young man, or really anyone at all should really see. The sight of death and destruction burned into his memory forever. While he would never be 'friends' with Potter he was appreciative that he and several others had helped spare his family from a sentence to Azkaban, or even a dementor's kiss. He was a little put off when his father made it clear that the family was to lay low for awhile after the trials to avoid backlash from those Death Eaters who received the work release program. Draco grudgingly agreed to it though still snuck out for a bit of fun here and there.

Things were bearable up until 2009 when the family fortune was seized by the Ministry, putting them in a state of poverty. Selling the home and all of their worldly possessions was one thing, but now a work camp was being built in Knockturn Alley. The Malfoys had been cleared but the discrimination against the purebloods like them was palpable. This reignited Draco's hatred of muggleborns, and now halfbloods. He had lost everything, even his dignity was on the chopping block. No matter what his father said he couldn't handle it anymore. He was not sure how he was going to do it, but he would not rest until proper justice was served to those who have taken everything from him... by any means necessary.

He took part in the Attack on Diagon Alley and was apprehended. He has been released from Azkaban into the work camp. Now that the Death Eaters have taken over the Ministry, it is up to player what his job is. If he is married and has children is up to player as well!

LUCIUS MALFOY

The trials had been very difficult on the Malfoy's, for Lucius this was especially true. While he had always been looked at as a cruel unfeeling man that was not the case when it came to his family. The thought that his family would have to pay for his involvement frightened the usual cocky wizard though he never showed it. After Harry Potter and several witnesses came forth to vouch for his family's innocence as they had helped Harry and the others significantly towards the end of the battle they were acquitted. Lucius had also given exceptionally valuable information on fellow Death Eaters causing a great many to serve time in Azkaban.

Lucius and his family kept very low key afterwards. There were still quite a few nasty public opinions of them and now Shacklebolt had put in a work release program meaning that some of his past 'friends' were now out and about. He was sure his family could be at risk because of this. While he no longer had ties to the Ministry to provide the abundance of money they had gotten used to they were still very much well off and able to live comfortably. Though that was not to last as in 2009 the new Minister began questioning purebloods on their involvement in the war. It was obvious that the Malfoys had been helpful servants to the Dark Lord for a great many years before abandoning him. They could not be retried, so the Minister found several loopholes to bleed the Malfoy family dry, leaving them with no choice but to sell their home and possessions to make ends meet.

The work camps had already been instated which angered Lucius though he never commented on it. He was still free to work odd jobs in society with relative ease. If anything, his Death Eater brethren being contained worked to his advantage in ensuring his family's safety due to his treason. He works hard for his family, rarely complaining. He is just thankful that they are all safe and have been spared a more severe punishment.

The choice of job is up to the player.

NARCISSA MALFOY

The trials had seemed to take an eternity, though things had clearly worked out for them for the most part. Narcissa's blatant lie to the Dark Lord during the Battle at Hogwarts had saved Harry's life and helped get the Malfoy family off the hook. Some may have seen this act as just her selfish attempt to just spare her own son's life without any genuine concern for the boy who lived. In reality it was to save both boys as being a mother had taken priority at that point, even if no one else would see it that way.

Life was difficult for Narcissa afterwards. She had lived her whole life living it up as a member of high society only to have her husband push to have them fly under the radar. There were no more dinner parties or events rubbing elbows with the best society had to offer. She had eventually adjusted since they still had their small fortune to live off of. That all ended in 2009 when the new Minister brought the Malfoy family in for questioning as well as several others. Some how the man had figured out a way to fine the family into severe debt since they could not retry them. Lucius had to do real work now, leaving her alone to stew. The installment of work camps didn't help her mood as she thought it was appalling. She's still not sure why her husband seems to be taking everything in such easy stride but follows his lead, confident that he will not lead them back into a terrible situation.

MINERVA MCGONAGALL

After the battle Minerva took up post as the Headmistress of Hogwarts though it was with a heavy heart. It was difficult to be in the office that Dumbledore had inhabited for so long with him not around. Granted his portrait tends to be quite talkative at the most inopportune times, typically whilst she is dealing with certain trouble makers as he waxes poetically over students previous that had given him quite the time. While this is welcome it is not a proper substitute. Minerva has closed herself off personally from most people, not wanting to get attached to any more people. She felt it was best to do so for her own well being though she still remains relatively close to Harry and Hermione.

After Minister Durant was put into power she could already feel the dread building. It was only confirmed by the work camp he had built in Knockturn Alley. Not long after purebloods were under fire as well. Minerva found herself getting angrier by the minute on how these witches and wizards were being treated. Although there are some Death Eaters that were put on the original work release program started by Shacklebolt that she felt should have remained in Azkaban for a great many years. She does not believe treating any one as they have been treated is copacetic. Because of this she has been seriously considering asking the Golden Trio to lend a hand though is hesitant not wanting to put them through anymore turmoil.

Minerva McGonagall was amongst the casualties at the Attack on Diagon Alley. Her funeral was held in mid-July of 2016.

HARRY POTTER

After the battle, Harry immediately took a position as an Auror in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. He went to a lot of the trials of Death Eaters, and even helped to make sure that the Malfoys did not get too harsh of a punishment, especially since Narcissa had effectively saved him and gave him a chance to kill Voldemort for good. He helped with the trials whenever possible, and agreed for the most part with the idea of the work release program, though he was bloody happy that the worst were still sent to Azkaban.

He started dating Hermione in 1999, and the pair was married in 2000. They had three children through the first several years of their marriage--Liam James, Adaline Lily, and Desmond Percival. Harry continued to work in the Auror Department, though talk began about his mental state, and he was wondering where the hell these rumors were coming from. Harry was absolutely shocked when he was declared mentally incompetent by many, and a new Minister was put in place. Harry does not at all trust this man, thinking that he must have set up these rumors in order to gain his position of power.

He is still a member of the Order of the Phoenix. He lost his ability to speak to snakes after killing Voldemort, and has kept up on his Occlumency. He left his job in the Ministry in the summer of 2016, after the trial for the woman who attacked two of his children did not go fairly. He founded the Rising Phoenix Project shortly after.
