NEW EDUCATION RECOMMENDATION
Would be super awesome if Aurora Technologies had some involvement in the computer tech programs!!! Welcome to Goshawk Technical College ! Miranda Goshawk was the author of the Standard Book of Spells series. She, along with her children, furthered the legacy of seeking out and making accessible practical magic by establishing the Goshawk Technical College of London in 1980. The school is meant to fill a practical niche left open by the more academically focus secondary education programs available in Europe. No matter one's age, a student may attend Goshawk. NEWT preparatory courses and exams are available at the institution, allowing adults to complete their education long after leaving Hogwarts or other wizarding primary school. Goshawk's Workforce Solutions department delivers training for individuals looking to expand their current skills or certifications or explore a new career path, or both! These career track courses are designed to provide in-demand skills in a short timeframe. Below are a list of career training programs available: - Mediwix Certification (3 months)
- Herbology Certification (6 months + 6 months apprenticeship)
- Care of Magical Creatures Certification (6 months + 6 months apprenticeship)
- Culinary Charms Certification (6 months)
- Advanced Culinary Charms Certification (12 months)
- Cosmetology Charms Certification, Hair (12 months)
- Cosmetology Charms Certification, Skin (6 months)
- Floo Maintenance Certification (6 months)

- Photography and Media (12 months)
- Paralegal (24 months)
- NEWT Preparation (1-12 months, varying by subject/need)
- Computer Network Specialist Certification (24 months)

- Wix Electronics Certification (24 months)
SCHOOL CALENDAR Goshawk operates year round. New classes are offered on a monthly basises. All classes run for exactly one month. Students may take no more than two classes each month and are encouraged to take only one at a time. Classes are held from 9am-3pm, Monday through Thursday or 4pm-8pm, Monday through Friday.

Updated Adaline Lily Potter - I adore all of this I just have two questions! What would the Herbology certification be? Since you can attend a four-year program at a university to be a Herbologist, and this is only a year, I’m just wondering what the difference is! Because obviously a year is a lot easier than four! And same thing with Care of Magical Creatures! You can take magizoology at uni for four years, so how is the certification different? This may just be me being dumb but help me understand that hahah. But I love this ahh yay cool schools today guys.

I saw the certifications being more for blue collar workers---where a four year degree would be a requirement for academic/managerial positions.
So jobs that you might get with a herbology certification could include a greenhouse worker, gardener (before this was a muggleborn job), etc.

Chiming in with the opinion that if the department is accepted, that the Secretary of State be a position appointed by the Minister of Magic. This fits other government models/behaviors.

I was wondering if there could be a sandbox for applications? I was thinking about that because of the too many I love them all characters already planned and it'd be awesome to have somewhere in the site I can post their apps with the proper code! That way it's just a matter of ctrl + c / ctrl + v when it's time to post their applications.
Thanks! :3

Denied! @cezar - unfortunately, we want an absolute cap of two working applications on site at all times! I think if you ask around, people have their different ways of getting apps ready in advance, by using Google Docs and that sort of thing!
