general appearance
Dante is on the shorter side, all things considered, at 5 feet 9 inches. However, he's got a personality much bigger than his mediocre height. His hair is dark brown and kept at a medium length, it's often left mussed and disheveled from running his hands through it, as he rarely does anything after brushing it. Facial hair isn't groomed much beyond trimming, as he likes to keep a level of scruff, but he can groom it into a distinguished goatee when he sets his mind to it. There's always a couple of bruises somewhere on his body from the amateur fighting he does. Scars are riddled across his upper body from experiments, and one large one over his heart from the surgery he underwent as a teenager, as well as the bite scar on his forearm. His eyes are a medium brown, like spiced rum or good whiskey.

Green Thumb (Herbology) - This seems fairly obvious, considering he majored in Herbology and everything. He loves plants, loves what they can teach him.
Pugilist - He fights. Not professionally, and probably not legally, but he participates in some possibly underground fighting rings for the hell of it.
Quidditch - He's reasonably good at being a chaser, as evidenced by his six year stint as a chaser at Beauxbatons, and he's proud of this skill.

Pizza - The veggie kind, of course, but it's still pizza. Nothing beats a good, handmade crust, with fresh mozzarella and roasted veggies, in Dante's opinion. He is half Italian, after all (romancers, take note.)

Dante Tadaaki Faucher was born on a temperate June day to parents with more love in their hearts than they knew what to do with. Antonia had struggled for almost 12 hours to bring her first son into the world, and she said she'd do it all over again just to have him at the end of it all. For reasons unknown to the rest of their family, they chose to name him Dante. A name well associated with the devil, but Marco and Antonia didn't much care about what anyone else said about it. Dante grew into a rambunctious toddler, enthusiastic when he learned he was to be a big brother. His magic sprouted with gusto, prompting his parents to teach him early methods of controlling it before he caused a major incident. As a result of this early education, he entered Beauxbatons with a better ability to control his magic than most of the other first years.
At Beauxbatons, he was sorted into Étée where he settled incredibly well and made friends without issue. It didn't take him long to figure out what he wanted to do for a career, with his skills in Herbology, but learning about spell invention hit him like a brick from out of nowhere. When he evaluated the things he would have to accomplish in order to achieve that goal, Dante had felt mildly deterred, until he got home and told his parents. With their support, Dante knew he could achieve his goals if he set himself to them. So he upped his study game and sought out tutors for the classes he needed to improve in, and in the end, he graduated with NEWTs in all the necessary classes.
After graduating, he majored in Spell Invention at Lufkin University, where he met Lillianna who was majoring in Herbology. Their romance was fast and passionate, but four years after their marriage, they were attacked by a werewolf on a camping trip. They had been prepared, but while they were able to apply powdered silver and dittany to Dante's wounds, Lillianna died from her own before any could be applied to her. Consumed with grief, Dante spent the following summer in a haze. He was eventually brought out of it by his sister, who reminded him that Lillianna would want him to keep living and enjoying life, to be happy. Recovery wasn't an overnight thing, but Dante sought out and found new reasons to love life, and over time, he got back to the man he used to be. After several years off from school, he returned to obtain a second degree in Herbology. There are still bad days, as there always will be, but he has stopped letting the bad days become bad weeks and bad months.
With his two degrees, Dante took a break from school and life in general by backpacking across Europe without using magic for anything. The only concession made was the supply of wolfsbane potion he brought, for his monthly affliction, and even that wasn't used all the time. Being out among nature helped heal his heart more, and he returned to Italy with a new conviction. There were too many sad reminders in their house, however, so Dante packed up their things, and moved everything to Britain. He purchased ownership of Onagh's Apothecary a few years later.
These days, he can be found at a pizzeria just as often as home, and while he used to flit between Britain, France, and Italy, the lockdown has put a stop to that.

Wine was not their main commodity, but they wouldn't have been a French farm without at least one kind of wine to pair with their meats. With their small selection of red wines, the Faucher farm also sold grass fed beef, and pork products, as well as locally sold eggs and chicken. It wasn't the largest farm, by far, but it made good profits and was efficient with their waste so as to maximize those profits. Several generations passed, and the farm has grown to include cheese and other dairy products, with Marco Faucher as the Head of it all. Their wine wasn't top shelf stuff, but it wasn't the cheap stuff either, and likewise with their meats.
Marco had known from a young age that he was destined to take the reigns of the farm, so he had dedicated all his free time to learning how to make it all run smoothly. He almost skipped out on attending Beauxbatons, but in the end his parents persuaded him to give it at least five years before he made a final decision on it. Sure enough, at fifteen, Marco finished his fifth year of school and never returned for a sixth, but his education was hardly lacking. In addition to being a farm, the Fauchers rent out a portion of their land for weddings and photographers.
Antonia was a model traveling through France for a photo shoot, one that required the use of horses and a rustic background. They swept into Faucher Farms, where Marco was ready to greet them with a smile and a handshake. Antonia hadn't expected the little farm to be quite so charming, nor had she expected the owner to be quite so handsome, but she was left reeling when she exited the floo to find a ruggedly handsome man grinning at the entrance.
The pair of them spent every free moment they had in each other's company, and at the end of the shoot they parted as good friends with promises to write. And write they did. For years afterward they exchanged letters, until the day Antonia surprised Marco by stepping out of the floo and kissing him soundly on the mouth. They were married three months later.
