Appearance and Personality
General Appearance: Age has treated Z well, with very little grey in his dark blond hair and just the right amount of wrinkles to make him look distinguished. His smile is just as charming as it was twenty years ago, and his eyes an amber brown. Well muscled, even now, though not excessively so. He stands at a fair 5’ 10”, and walks with a cocky swagger. There are a smattering of scars across his arms and chest from his training with various weapons, most of them small and almost invisible. Zeus has several tattoos: a realistic lightning bolt on his left pectoral, just over his heart; a tramp stamp of a king’s crown with wings; the star formation of Cepheus on his right shoulder blade; and the phrase ‘nulli secundus’ on his right hip. There are sleeve tattoos on both his arms, as well.

Character History:

Zeus was born the first of six--by a bare margin of two minutes--with a shock of blond hair and bright amber eyes. He was an active child from the start, always running and climbing and getting into all manner of trouble. From the start, he believed himself superior to his peers, though a few came close to being considered equals in his eyes. Despite his obvious arrogance and superiority complex, the majority of Zeus’ peers thought him charming and likeable, if a little selfish at times. They accepted that he wasn’t likely to help another person if it didn’t also help himself in some way, and while none of them considered themselves his ‘best friend’ they counted themselves fortunate that he found some favor in them. After all, to be liked by one so honest in his affections was a blessing when he could strike any of them down easily enough.

Words were not Zeus’ forte, or words related to emotions were not; he could weave his way into the favor of many with flowery words of flattery, but attempt to bring up feelings and he’ll retreat from the conversation in seconds. Oh, he can fake enjoyment and interest well enough, but sympathy’s always been a hard one to fake when he’s never actually felt it and he rarely tries these days. As the first-born, he was expected to set the tone for where the rest of his siblings were likely to go, though they all had rather unique personalities and differing values. Families generally stuck together, after all, so why would theirs be any different? Sorted into Slytherin before the hat even touched his head, he leaped off the stool and skipped his way to his new table. These were the people who would understand him best, he knew. Still, he couldn’t help feeling a little judged, because Slytherin had a bit of a bad rep and he didn’t want that to influence how everyone else saw him. Zeus wanted to make his own reputation, and he couldn’t very well do that with You Know Who’s legacy hanging over the heads of every Snake. Merlin had been a Slytherin, after all, so they couldn’t all be bad. Erica broke the notion of families being stuck together when the Hat placed her in Gryffindor, though some considered the Snakes and Lions to be two sides of the same coin and therefore more similar than either of them liked to consider.

Zeus did manage to make a reputation for himself, by being an incorrigible flirt for all seven years and a reckless rogue for the last three. A ladies’ man, though he hardly limited himself to just the girls. His grades were...passable, for most of his classes, as he barely studied beyond what was required for his school-work. Still, he had a natural talent for Charms and Martial Magic, particularly the showy stuff, and was always the one out to make the class laugh. He got himself in detention at least once a week, and charmed himself out of at least half of those.

When his sister, Hester, began school, everyone held their collective breath as the hat settled on her head only to proclaim her Hufflepuff less than a second later. Zeus was not surprised in the least, as he’d known the warmest House was most suited to his second sister. She would find friends there, he was sure, and so he left her acclimation to her Housemates while he continued to build his reputation. Peter came next, and Zeus had a good feeling he knew where his brother would go, and wasn’t surprised at all when the Hat called him Gryffindor. Dmitria followed a year later and Zeus almost considered skipping because he knew where she would end up just like he had the previous four. In the end, he decided to attend and watched as the Hat declared her Ravenclaw with no surprise at all. What a rounded family they were.

Zeus graduated Hogwarts with O’s in Charms and Defense, A’s for just about everything else, and one E in Astronomy that surprised even him. Not many jobs--none that he wanted, at any rate--took those kinds of marks, so he decided to become a Personal Trainer because he’d been fairly good at captaining the Quidditch team and figured it couldn’t be too different. Modeling came a bit later, but he knew he was pretty enough for it and why not get paid to look good? His clientele has been a wide variety of average people and wealthy snobs, thick and thin and everything in between. Few trainers remain successful at his age, but he’s of the ones to actually practice what he preaches and so remains healthy and limber. In fact, his continued good health and figure are what make him that much more successful at his jobs, because looking good at 25 is a lot easier than it is at 45.

Plots and Politics
What is your character’s stance on the recent takeover of the Ministry by Death Eaters? Zeus doesn't pay much attention to politics, especially when it doesn't directly affect him or his business. So while he's aware that it's kind of a big deal, he hasn't really thought about it much.

Where did your character stand in the treatment of Death Eaters and their families under the late Minister Durant's rule? Punish the criminals, obviously. As far as their families go, they really should leave the kids well enough alone until they actually do something worth locking them up over.

How was your character and their family affected by the reign and death of Voldemort? They weren't, really. Being a family of halfbloods from Greece, with enough social status to keep them comfortable. They never stuck their heads out of their bubble enough to warrant any action against them.

Family History:
The Olympia line has always been made up of powerful witches and wizards, even if the line wasn’t always pure. Purity had never been a large concern of theirs, and still wasn’t, though they certainly preferred their children to marry magical people. For a while, they lived in Greece, with a vast mountainside villa and a thriving vineyard. That villa and vineyard still stands, and is still owned by a branch of the Olympia family, but Chris moved north shortly after graduating. He kept his share of the family business, of course, but left the majority of the business responsibility in the hands of his capable brothers while he went about his life frivolously.

Andrea was a witch from an equally powerful line, also descended from greece but her family had emigrated to the UK several generations ago and had long since stopped calling themselves anything other than British. She’d attended Hogwarts as a Hufflepuff, graduated with top marks, and went on to become a Healer at St. Mungo’s for a time. It was purely by chance that she met Chris one night in a club and allowed him to take her back to his rooms. They had a romance that burned hot, and Rea feared she wouldn’t come out of it unharmed, but she was too captivated to end it before the fires died.

Rea and Chris fought like cats and dogs, rarely ever appeared to get along except when they weren’t talking. Everyone thought they hated each other and only stayed together for purely physical reasons, but they knew the truth of it. For all their fights and disagreements, they would each say that the other brought out the best (and the worst) in them. They were both stubborn people, after all, and absolutely horrid at communicating properly.

When Rea became pregnant for the first time, they had yet another epic screaming match over what to do about it, fueled almost entirely by the fact that they hadn’t ever talked about having kids and they both wrongly believed that the other didn’t want any. Things were eventually resolved, though it wasn’t until the 6th month that they really started to calm down as it became clear to Chris that Rea wasn’t going to abort or abandon their baby. Twins was a shock to both of them, as it appeared Erica had been hiding behind Zeus for every ultrasound.
