In all her life Ophelia would never think she could have had so much drama as what she went through when she lost her parents, however that seems to be topped in the last few months. Of course most of that was her own doing, she was not going to pass the blame onto anyone else. However the two wizards she had been involved with were also to blame though to a lesser scale. She didn’t want to break hears however what had happened with Nick had been a long time coming if she was honest. It seemed that the two of them had subconsciously distancing themselves from the other and this has resulted in their break up. Ophelia wanted Nick to be happy and if that was with another witch then so bit but she didn’t want some other witch to take advantage of him. He was too welcoming for his own good at times.

Ophelia knew that going back to Will came with her own sense of insecurities and those were well founded. He had cheated on her. Even though that had been during their school days, it had left an impression her for years to come. Seeing William again a few months ago had reminded her of when she had caught him in bed. She had not been able to go and cry to her parents about having her heart broken but instead she had told her sister immediately. Till this day Jacqueline was understandably weary of William Queen and she didn’t know how to accept her younger sister dating him again. But that was the thing, Ophelia and Will hadn’t yet decided between themselves they were dating. Essentially that is what they were doing, but they not made it official yet.

She had decided to take him on this surprise date so that maybe that conversation could be had. Ophelia knew that getting him to agree to this would not be hard. It seemed that Will would do anything for her and while that was ideal, she wanted him to lead this relationship too. Maybe it was the pureblood in her speaking like that, but she just wanted a man and in her mind and from she had seen the man did take charge of the relationship at times. Maybe that was what she was expecting from Nick and having not received that she had distanced herself from her now ex-boyfriend.

Being fluent in Spanish it had been a no brainer in where she would take him. She had been to many parts of Spain but Barcelona ranked amongst her top five places to visit. Ophelia hoped that Will enjoyed himself. She had met him at the Orphanage and had successully convinced him to take some time out. So after he had been able to find someone to fill in for himself she had brought him to the city that sat on the eastern coast of Spain. ”I hope you like this place” she smiled at him as she lead the man into the Tapas bar and sat at a vacant table.

What was love? For his entire life, William Queen had been denied love. Love from biological parents, the love of a woman. He had searched and he had within his grasp the second one. He had been with woman, many woman to be honest; but he didn’t love any of them. There were only two in his life that he would lay himself down for and that was Tesla and now again, Ophelia. Tesla had been there for him through everything, just as he had been with her; she was his absolute best friend, the closest thing he thought he would ever had to a sister, before he met Alayla, his actual sister. But Ophelia Jameson was a different story; he loved the witch, would spend the rest of his life with her, if she would let him; and he planned on doing so. But first, they had to determine what was happening between the two of them at the moment.

When she told him that she wanted to take him somewhere, he was expecting somewhere in the same country that they lived in. But he had been wrong; she was insistent that he pack swimwear, so he did. When they arrived in Spain, and he saw where they would be staying for the next while; he was incredibly impressed. William was happy, happier than he had been in a long time, but something was still nagging at him, and it had to do with Ophelia; he knew that she loved Nick, he knew that she felt bad for doing what they had done; but then, then Nick left her. He knew that the witch loved Nick; but he needed to know how she truly felt for him.

He was hesitant at first, easy, treading lightly, not to hurt her feelings. He loved Ophelia, more than he loved any woman before her and he wanted her to have a say in their relationship; or whatever this was; they were not technically dating, just sleeping with one another and spending as much time together as possible. Work was always a problem, she had been swamped due to Hogwarts starting back and first years getting new wands, and he had been busy handling the holiday rules and transfers of his kids that lived in Safe Harbor that would be attending Hogwarts. They had been simply too busy, so this getaway, this ‘vacation’ was something they both needed; something that would allow them time to talk, to really talk.

“This place is amazing” he said; he knew Spain was her favorite place, he had plans long ago to propose to her once they graduated here. But then he screwed that up; he knew that was part of her hesitation, he didn’t blame her; but he has also attempted to show her that he was a different person, that he could control his Veela side, that he had no desire for anyone else; that he only had eyes for her. “I can see why you love this country” he said as he sat his bag down and turned to her, “What’s the plans?” he asked as he smiled at her, her outfit was incredible; he planned on seeing if she wanted to go shopping; he could use some new clothes, and he wanted to spoil her as much as she would let him.

Ophelia had had no ulterior motive why she had brought Will to Spain, she had really only done so because she felt that with all that had taken place to get them where they were right now they needed some time away. She loved Spain, it afforded the chance to relax. When she had been single she had come here many times and being magical meant they could get anywhere quickly. Portkeys were not the most romantic way to travel but getting to a destination quicker meant that they could have more romantic moments there. She wondered just how many moments like that her and Will could have. They had had many when they had first been together but while they were in the process of getting back together, they weren't’ there yet. Ophelia knew she loved Will. She was just unable to explain how it had quickly come back to that stage despite them being apart for many years.

Maybe while they were on this sudden holiday she would work that out. She hoped it wasn’t just because being with Will was familiar. She wanted it to be more this time and maybe eventually they would get back to talking about the two of them settling down and starting a family. Ophelia had seen just how he was with the kids and she was not opposed to having kids with him one day, in the future. For now she was just happy for it to be them two. She knew that he was in the process of adopting a girl from the orphanage but Ophelia was honestly only hesitant to take on any mother like role (if Will was to ask her because ) because she had only had her own mother for a short while and didn’t know how to be one or rather she felt like she didn’t know how to be one. Of course that was selfish of her, Will had not had parents for much of his life, foster parents sure but not his biological parents and here she was whining while she had been raised still by her biological family.

She had not hesitated in bringing him here to Spain. She had dreamed to travelling here with him when they had been a couple during their days at school but that had never happened but it was about time that it did. Ophelia had been firm in telling Will what to pakc. They had already dropped off their bags to the hotel so she could only hope he had brought along some swimming trunks with him. If they hadn’t then the resort where they were staying had a gift shop at least. She hoped that Will enjoyed the place and the country at large as much as she did.

The witch grinned when he said that the place was amazing. ”Just wait till you see what else I have in store for you” she joked. Of course she did have some tricks up her sleeve but first she knew they had to talk. Maybe she just needed alcohol for that. Ophelia certainly wasn’t known for being open about her feelings. ”Well we can go for a walk along the beach or along the main street. First I think we need a drink though, Sangria?” she asked him. Ophelia herself never missed a chance to drink the beverage when she was in Spain.

When she told him that she wanted to take a vacation, Will had been surprised at first, because the one thing that Ophelia loved without a doubt was her job. Then she asked him to come with her, and he had been more than willing to do so. He offered to pay for their trip; which she did not deny of him. William knew that he had loved Ophelia, that he had never really ever stopped loving her. But he also knew that they had unspoken things that needed to come out, things that they needed to cover before they both strung one another along, and he had a feeling she wanted to get it in the open as well.

Will knew that he was adopting the young veela from the orphanage; he needed to talk to Ophelia about this, because he was doing it regardless; the girl had been through too much in her short life to not have a steady home, and even though he wasn’t sure if he could do it; he knew that he wanted to try, and he would love to have Ophelia join him on that adventure; Will looked around the room and he smiled at her as he kissed her cheek before sitting across from her, agreeing that a drink was a good plan; he allowed her to make the order for them, and as they were waiting; he crossed his legs over one another and looked at her, leaning back in his chair slightly.

“I’d rather just take control of this right now; where do we stand?” he asked as he looked at the witch, the sun bouncing off her skin through the windows as he smiled at her; clearing his throat he continued. “What happened to you, how it ended with him, you didn’t deserve it. But here we are now; together, I just need to know, you know I love you, more than I probably did in school; which sounds insane. But I want you to know that I am all in” he said with a reassuring reminder as the waiter brought their drinks; he held it up and smiled at her.

“A toast, to you, to the future, may it ever be bright, and full of those surprises that you have in store” he winked and took a drink; he hadn’t had a sangria in a while; it tasted like he remembered. He shuffled himself slightly to where he was able to hold the drink, using his leg as a table as he watched her, wondering what his words meant to her.

Truthfully Ophelia had some difficulty in Will paying for their trip. That was for two reasons honestly, one she was so used to paying for everything herself and secondly she had been the one to suggest they take this trip. She had mentioned several times in their younger years of her desire to visit Spain and while she had made a few solo trips here, this was their first trip here as a couple. She wanted this trip to be memorable especially since Will had not been to Spain until now. However, if she was brave enough it would also be memorable if they did get around to having that talk they really needed to have. It was probably not going to be a long talk but it was a very necessary one.

Speaking Spanish offered Ophelia a lot of advantage. She was able to travel to more countries than just Spain for work and she loved her work dearly. If Will was to take a quiz on her, that was not going to a question he would fail on. She had an uncanny passion for the trade of wandmaking. It allowed her to be creative while also using her knowledge and she loved being able to match wands to their owner. She knew very well, as did others that wands had the power to cause great pain as well as such disaster. She had studied extensively the major events that had been caused by such small instrument. Of course it was also dependent on the user as well but they would know very well just how powerful their wand was. The Elder wand though, was definitely in a league of its own. Secretly she hoped she never encountered a wand like that, ever.

At Will’s question, she found herself involuntarily widening her eyes before she arched her brow at him clearing his throat. That was unexpected. Ophelia sighed heavily, she unlikely to deflect the question now. She knew he was not going anywhere, why did he have to mention it though. It was like she was being mocked for not stating it first but it was just her worries getting the better of her. ”Well I am all in too” she smiled. It just sounded pathetic in her head like when someone repeats that they love you too after your say it first. She was telling herself off for not saying it first but she was not one to take the leap of faith, so to speak. ”I love you Will” she added with a softer smile before turning to the waiter and thanking in Spanish.

Ophelia raised her glass and blushed as he toasted to her. No one ever did that and she didn’ft expect Will to do that just because they were together. She laughed lightly before sipping her Sangria. ”I can’t promise you’ll always be surprised love, but I will try” she winked before she looked around out the window. They were slightly dusty but one could still see out of them. ”The weather is so lovely here, definitely makes you wish we had beaches like this at home right?”

Coming to Spain was something he never expected Ophelia to ask of him. To be fair, he never imagined being with Ophelia ever again; but here they were, together. Will knew how he felt about the witch; he supposed that was why he was never able to settle down after they broke up originally; at first he attributed it to the fact that he was young; he needed to ‘sow his wild oats’. But, woman after woman, relationship after relationship; he realized that something was missing; something was messed up. He didn’t have actual feelings for these women. There were some, there were a few he cared for; Calliope and Maria were two he thought of off the top of his head; but he also knew that he couldn’t commit to them; they were not Ophelia. He knew deep down that this was why he couldn’t do it; why he probably never would have been able to do so.

Her being all in as well was vitally important. He understood the possibility of her still having feelings for Nick; she had been with him for so long it would have not been natural to just drop all of them. However; William was not going to go into this without knowing that she was wanting to do so; he was never a rebound; he was not someone who ever wanted to be a rebound. He needed her to know that he was in this till the end; that she was his end and he didn’t want it any other way; but what did she want? As he waited for her answer; he took a drink of the sangria; when she finally answered; he nodded and smiled and leaned forward onto the table when she said that she loved him.

“And I love you, Lia.” he said as he watched her look out the window. He followed her gaze, his eyes landing on people, men, women, boy and girls, all walking and talking and playing. The sun had been warm, and he was looking forward to the blue-green water that was only a few yards away. Looking from the view to the better view, her, he smiled as he leaned back in his chair once more. “The way things are going right now, I think it might be smarter to move to where the beaches are.” he said, referring to the political landscape that the country they called home was in.
