Justice Wolff
1173 - male - Vampire - ??/??/845, turned October 865

Owner of the Cavern Club & Hog's Head

Appearance and Personality
General Appearance: Justice is of moderate stature, but he has the strength and allure of a vampire. His skin is pale, as one would expect of a member of the undead. When the man speaks or smiles, his fangs peak out. He makes no move to hide them. His appearance betrays his ancestry--as do his piercing eyes--seemingly all the more enchanting now that he is a vampire.
Sexual Orientation: Eh, whatever--live this long and you'll be open to all the possibilities, he does tend to take women as lovers, but is not opposed to men.
Skills: Strength - Charm - Accumulated Wisdom - Killing - War
Weaknesses: Sunlight - Gambling - Adjusting to modern living
Positive Personality Traits: Charming, Cunning, Calculating
Negative Personality Traits: Fatalistic, Apathetic, Uncaring
Hobbies and Interests: Indulgences, Gambling, Toying with mortals, Accumulating experiences, Archaeology
Character History:
Justice was born many many years ago in a world so unlike this one it can hardly be reconciled against the modern Earth. In those times, he had a different name--he has had many of those over the years. He was a bastard son born of unknown lineage to a young girl after being raped during a Viking raid. His years as a mortal were filled with hunger and hard work. His mother died when he was barely twelve. His memories of her now are so fuzzy, he cannot be sure what she looked like. He remembers, though, the way she never quite looked at him. It was clear that he always served as a memory of what had happened to her--She had been young when he had been born and was never able to find a husband.

Justice's sire found him a whorehouse--took a liking to him and apparently wanted a companion. The transformation is far more vivid to Justice now than the memories of his human life. It was a horrible experience...and one he does not speak of. He has never subjected another to the torture of going from living to undead.

The hunger blinded him for the next few decades. He had thought he knew hunger as a mortal--but the urge to feed as a young vampire was all consuming. It took him a very long time to gain self control. He was much older than many when he began to master his need to feed. Now, he chooses to feed several times a week, almost daily, though he could go far longer. He likes to feed and always has.

Those first decades, he and his sire traveled often. They moved from place to place constantly to avoid drawing attention to the lives that Justice was taking. He was absolutely incapable of feeding without killing his meal in those days. Now, he has more self control. He doesn't have to kill everyone he bites. Though he has no moral objection to doing so--he has long gotten rid of any conscience, if he ever had one. He doesn't remember ever struggling with any morals or ethics--he had no role models when he was a mortal and had lived a very poor life with constant struggle. Such a life does not encourage a boy to follow the rules of society.

His sire had been a wizard before his own transformation many years prior to Justice's birth. As such, the man introduced Justice to the magical world--teaching him and showing him things he had never been exposed to due to his mother's non-magical status. By the 1100s, Justice and his sire had visited the far reaches of Asia. The pair became affiliates of the notorious Genghis Khan. They were something like soldiers for hire for the Great Khan. Those were glutinous times when they took no care in hiding their kills. They would destroy clans of men just for fun. It was a brutal and gruesome. Centuries were spent in China and India.

Eventually, word came that the Spanish had discovered a new land. So, off to the Americas they went--though very lazily so. The pair did not reach the eastern shores of North America until 1750. Again, they were able to feast like kings with little regard for cleaning up after themselves. The wars that the mortals were engaged in made excessive feeding far too easy-

But all good things must come to an end and in 1783, America and Britain reached a peace agreement, while Justice and his sire fell into war--if one can call it that. There were no grand battles---but something happened to break the camaraderie between the two. The pair parted ways. Justice left his sire in the north and travelled south alone, exploring the jungles and mountains of South America for many years. He travelled slowly, learning each place intimately. He wanted to drown himself in the history and cultures of these foreign places just as he had in Asia.

After over a century in South America, Justice returned to the continent of his birth--both mortal and immortal. Coming to Europe, he has chosen to be more entrenched into civilized society. As modern times rose and technology came into being in the latest century, Justice has seen the protections and decreased likelihood of detection by the non-magical and non-supernatural that magical society provides as more worthwhile.  For many years now, Justice has floated in and out of jobs. He has taken a great deal from others over his many years of immortality, so he doesn't absolutely have to work, but he can get rather bored if he doesn't have something to entertain himself with. He owns several entrepreneurial ventures that help keep him entertained, for now.

Plots and Politics
What is your character’s stance on the recent takeover of the Ministry by Death Eaters? He doesn't really care about mortal politics. Unless they start a war against vampires, he is very removed from all of this. He has seen so many governments rise and fall--what is one more? He did enjoy the violence of it all.

Where did your character stand in the treatment of Death Eaters and their families under the late Minister Durant's rule? He didn't care about that either. Whatever mortals want to do to mortals, it's all the same to him.

How was your character and their family affected by the reign and death of Voldemort? He was not impacted really at all.

Family
Parents: Bjorn Ironside | Cerise Theudmund
Siblings: All dead
Children: None.
Partner: None.
Other Relevant Family: Surely there are some Viking descendants, but he does not even know his true parentage and has no interest in making any connections to mortal relatives, even if he did.
Family History:
The vampire knows nothing of his father's identity--though Bjorn is infamous--and was his father, Ragnar Lodbrok. To know more about these men and their mighty triumphs, visit the Lufkin's library and read about them yourself. Justice has nothing more to say about the man who took his mother's innocence and left her with a child to raise.

All the same, Justice has little to nothing to say about Cerise. She was never particularly kind to him. She came from nothing---Vikings killed the majority of her family. Only through the kindness of others did she make it through her pregnancy. She had always lived on a farm and continued to do so with her infant son. As the boy grew stronger and older, Cerise grew weaker. Childbearing had not agreed with her--and she lost any beauty she had when the boy had been born. No man would take her as his wife. Eventually she died by her own hand.

Justice's sire is far more interesting. A wizard by birth, the vampire had lived alone for several centuries before turning Justice--or Loÿs as he was known then. He had already traveled the known world multiple times over when he took on Loÿs as his companion.

Other:  There have been a few great loves in his life--none of them mortal, but all of who left him because of his attachment to his sire.
