It wasn't like he didn't have reasons to go to the bakery, because he did. He just usually went to other places. Not like it wasn't a good place or anything, but there were other closer places on his way home, or on his way to work based on when he was there. So after he made a delivery to the Day Care for Affy he went into town and did his own shopping. Nothing too important, some shoes, some pants and then he went into the bakery.

When Ymara had been pregnant she had craved their cakes. She had craved the cupcakes and the muffins while Vic had fallen for the chocolate tarts around Christmas and it was what he was after. He wanted to surprise Affy with some of them and some scones. She had been wanting them for a while and he wasn't going to turn her down when she gave him the money to cover it all.

He walked into the shop and nodded to his favorite Barista, Juan before placing his order. After getting his drink and waiting for the rest to be packaged he looked out the window and was unaware of how long that he had been standing there, until someone tapped him on his shoulder. "Hm?" Hr said as he turned his head to look at whoever it was with a small smile.

'Til I Bake it
JJ was no stranger to people being overwhelmed by all the delicious options, found it rather flattering actually, but the man stood staring off into space didn't look overwhelmed so much as he looked lost in thought. She waved off Juan when he came to pick up what she assumed was the man's order, given he was the only one at the counter waiting for something, and strode out to greet the man herself. The unmistakable scent of a fellow Wolf hit her senses as soon as she left the kitchen, and she plastered on a smile despite her slight unease. Wolves in a pack didn't always react well to meeting her, since she was mostly considered rogue unless one considered a pack of two to be a legitimate pack. Truthfully, JJ would love to join a pack, but she'd yet to find one that was the right fit and Jesse tended to get confrontational if he wasn't introduced properly. Still, she had to keep up a pleasant front regardless of her feelings as a Wolf; customer service demanded she be polite unless provoked otherwise, and even then.

She tapped the man on his shoulder to get his attention, then presented his box of pastries. "Your order, sir," she declared sweetly. "Will that be all or would you like to sample anything? I've prepared a few new sweets for customers to try, just to see if they'd be willing to order them more often." JJ motioned towards a display case of small desserts, her personal favorite was the pina-colada tart--a shell with a pineapple and rum extract filling drizzled with a coconut glaze and sprinkled with a few flakes of toasted coconut. There were others, of course, but summer was the time for fruity tarts and bars, so that was the majority of what she'd been experimenting with.

----- Fake it ----

His mind was in a thousand places and he was trying to settle an internal debate. He had been thinking about buying a house just outside of London, and he wasn’t sure if it was good idea. He like the safety of The Roadhouse and what it provided. Living nearby helped with that and it helped them both when it came to work. She was going to need him now that she was having another little one, so the move would have to wait until things were different. It wasn’t a bad thing, and it gave him time to talk to Tess since she would maybe help him get the loan or buy it in general. He wasn’t sure what to expect when it came to things with her, but he had come to trust her over the time they had been a pack.

Smiling flirtatiously at the woman he took her in. She wasn’t pack, but she smelled of wolf, and that made him smile. He knew that LB was one, this wasn’t a transfer of scent though, this woman was a wolf and a gorgeous one at that. Lord have mercy. ” Thank you!” He replied with a nod of his head. ”You wouldn’t happen to have any Pavlova would you? My son loves them. He asked before looking over the case. ”Anything you would recommend?”
