She'd been in Hogwarts for her First year when her sister had been born. Demelza had been so upset to miss that-- how dare her parents plan it so Demelza missed the newborn weeks! She'd always been scared when she came home for breaks that Skyler wouldn't recognize her. Skye hadn't during Spring holidays, and had also taken some time to remember her during the summer. The winter after it had come sooner, and Demelza was watching her baby sister grow up in leaps and bounds, make progress Demelza hadn't been there for. The Death Eaters had known about her younger sister her Fourth year, and she'd lived in constant fear that she'd get a letter saying her young sister had been killed. They made enough threats like that, and there was the Montgomery sisters' brother, after all. Hannah's mother, Neville Longbottom's gran-- people killed, threatened, gone after.

When she'd finally graduated Hogwarts, Skye had not been not yet seven, a kid with a gift for emotions. Her younger sister, a girl she'd barely known but loved all the same during ever holiday she could. But she could read her younger sister all the same, read the discomfort, see when her sister's gift was pulling at her.

"Fanfiction," she gave a scoff. "The things you come up with, how you do I'll never know." She wasn't surprised Skye had heard already, there was gossip and trashy rags. She still remembered one blistering Howler from their mother about Demelza's exploits being in the gossip and Skye had seen that at school, and she was still such an impressionable child, Demelza Glorianna, what will she think of those pictures and the scandal? (She'd ignored it, of course, and been treated to more Howlers and clip-outs of the worst articles)

"It happened. Wasn't quite as successful as I'd hoped, but it wasn't bad." She gave a shrug. "And you know you don't have to spread that part around." She slung an arm around her sister's shoulder. "The Three Broomsticks is an inn, as you do know. It has plenty of bedrooms as you likely know-- or wait, do you? Mum never liked it when I visited it."
