general appearance
"Sóc preciós-"  Modest she is not in regards to her appearance, Graciela has no qualms about referring to herself as gorgeous. She might have pursued a career in modeling had she not stopped growing at 160 centimeters. Catwalks tend to favor the ladies closer to six foot than five--but Graci is still a total fashionista. 32-24-36 inches (81-61-81 cm) figure and legs that you wish you had, she has an eye-catching figure. Witch might be small in stature, but she is still huge in personality. Graci has a way of filling up a room and drawing eyes to her. Her wide, bright smile and big expressive eyes are weapons she will use against you in a second. "Be careful, carinyo, you'll get lost in them in you aren't careful." Her skin is warmly tinted and utterly blemish-less. "You're envious, ho sé. It's to be expected."

skills
CHARM "Sóc encantador.--Absolutely delightful." Her ego on the matter aside, Graci is quite charming. She has a knack for flattery--and her unassuming stature makes her seem not threatening at all. She has taken after her father in respect to the man's charisma.

LANGUAGE  "Parlo només el català." Though she seems determined to convince you she speaks only Catalan, Graci is fluent in multiple languages. French is her best after her native tongue--she did speak it exclusively during her time at Beauxbatons. She is also fluent in English and Spanish. The witch has a good ear for languages and picks them up quickly with seemingly no effort. Emersion is very effective for her. When she is hearing loads of thoughts in a language, it is easier to get a handle on it.

DECEIT "La meva mare i pare són els tramposos. Creieu que no he après res?!" Ignoring her crassness about her parents and their tendencies towards infidelity, the gist of the comment is still true. Graci has seen no shortage of dishonesty in her lifetime. She takes to it as easily as a fish to water. To her, the truth is not so important. You can craft the truth that suits you.

ACTING "Vaig a ser una estrella." Muggle or magical, it doesn't matter to Graci. She just wants to see her name in lights--- with the skills she has already shared, it should come as no surprise that she has natural talent for acting. She is honing this skill now at Lufkin.

SINGING "La meva veu és com la d'un àngel." The voice of an angel... You'll notice modesty is not listed as one of this witch's skills.

WRITING "Com mare-" Another way that Graci takes after her mother--She might be the editor's daughter, but she has a position as a columnist at VEXED because she writes well and accepts critiques with surprising grace for someone who seems to ooze arrogance. She wouldn't take guidance from just anyone, but she trusts her mother (at least in respect to journalism) and respects her feedback.
weaknesses
WINE ∞ This lady is a lover of wine--both cheap and expensive. Dark chocolates with a seductive Malbec or Syrah paring will earn forgiveness for almost any transgression, or a favor, should you find yourself in need of one of those. For champagne, her tastes get a bit more pricey, but  she does absolutely love the bubbly. Her prosecco cocktails are divine.

LEGILIMENCY ∞ There was a time when Graci would have only referred to this as a strength. Epidemic X has changed her perspective a good bit. Now, she can be blindsided by great amounts of noise, or be left without any inclinations at all over what someone is thinking. Having always been able to know, she feels a bit naked when her ability fails her.

RELATIONSHIPS ∞ There have not been a lot of examples of what an actual healthy relationship looks like in Graciela's life. This is true not only for romantic pairings, but familial, as well. Rubi and Val are not exactly going to be up for any siblings of the year awards.

MORALITY ∞ Graciela is essentially devoid of any moral compass. A chaotic evil individual tends to have no respect for rules, other people's lives, or anything but their own desires, which are typically selfish and cruel. They set a high value on personal freedom, but do not have much regard for the lives or freedom of other people.  She sees absolutely nothing wrong with taking whatever she want by whatever means possible. The witch is primarily motivated by the desire for personal gain and pleasure.

JUDGMENTAL ∞ Graci is incredibly judgmental. She'll judge you for being concerned what others might think. She'll judge you for wearing that dress that is just so last season. She'll judge you for falling in love. She'll judge you for just about anything, really. To her, most people are just so narrow-minded and naive.

character history
Graci was the first born child of Santiago and Valentia de la Vega--she wasn't actually Santi's firstborn...but that's not really a pertinent detail to her childhood. There were four beautiful years of life just as it is was meant to be: all about Graci. She was spoiled, dotted on and adored. Anytime her parents took her anywhere, she drew all the attention on herself. Waiters were charmed. Old ladies on the street were enchanted. Graci was a princess with an uncanny ability to say the most charming and amusing things.

It was when she was still a young child that her natural talent manifested itself. Graci was born a natural legilmens. She learned to speak very early on and was conversational at an usually young age. Her parents discerned her ability very quickly as the precocious child made a habit of answering questions not asked, and saying things that were thought but never said aloud.

Then came along her siblings. She did not hate Dario exactly. For quite some time, she believed that he was a new toy brought for her enjoyment. Dario was a good baby--one that tended not to cry. It made it all the easier to believe he was there for her amusement. But when she grew tired of him, he never went away...and then there was another baby. Her sister was not clearly not a toy--and with Luna joining the family, Graci accepted she was not the only child any longer. That change of mindset did not decrease the witch's certainty she was the center the world. Her mother's encouragement to take whatever she wished spurred that line of thinking on.

In the years of her siblings’ infancy, Graci was still at home, but had many things to occupy her time. A performer to her very core. Dance became the little girl’s favored pastime—she took a great variety of classes: ballet, contemporary, flamenco, and hip-hop. Performing, practicing, and primary school were more than enough to keep Graci busy until the time came for her to go to Beauxbatons. She continued to dance there, finding other avenues to perform, as well—specifically the school choir.

School years were most pleasant for the witch. She was popular and made having a delightful time a top priority. Many broken hearts were left in her wake. Her own cracked more than once over the years—-such is the fate of someone who is both in love with themselves and the very idea of love. Her attention was difficult to hold: both in class and out of it. Academia was not a weakness really; she just did not care much for what could be learned from a textbook.

The marks she made were earned by skill alone—and to some degree legilimency. The witch never studied. She did not need to. Having Os was not worth the effort, when she could put none in and earn Es. Her OWL and NEWT scores were all Exceeds Expectations, with the exception of Divination where she always managed perfection. Her professors were aware of her abilities, which meant she was required to take her examinations alone and special proctors were brought in who were practiced Occlumens. She thought it was all very extra…

After Beauxbatons, she studied acting and musical theatre at Eòlia in Barcelona. It was absolutely delightful. She honed her skills, developed her voice, and continued to grow herself as an artist. She had no desire to leave. When her family moved to the United Kingdom, Graci did not follow. She was happy where she was.

Graci was one to visit, though—and on one such visit, she had an audition at the Palace Theatre for a summer run of Spring Awakening. She was cast as Wendla, something that made her a number of enemies among the actresses of London. Still, it was a grand time. From June until August, she gave herself over to the role. Some might have even called her method.

She was intending to go back to Spain in September—but Epidemic X changed her plans. Graci joined her mother at Vexed, showing a great knack for writing (and interviewing, obviously). Here in the UK, she guards the knowledge of her innate skill, believing only good things (for her) can come from being able to see what others are thinking without them knowing you can.

While this mysterious epidemic has taken her magic, it did not strip her of her natural legilimency skill. Control of it waxes and wanes, though. She had learned to control it as she aged, but now, she doesn’t have magic to help her. Sometimes she hears nothing, then other times she is overwhelmed by the onslaught of noise. It’s quite a lot to adjust to, but she is doing as she must.

family history
"Robat del pare":
Ines Molinero grew up in San Vincente, Spain. Her father owned the Restaurant Merendero Garcés, a successful farm-to-table establishment that caters to magical folk on holiday in San Vicente. As a child, she often helped wait tables and picked up recipes from her mother who was the Head Chef. On her eleventh birthday, Ines was invited to study at Beauxbatons.

Hugo De la Vega was the son of a halfblood farmer who lived just outside of Gerbe, Spain. When his father died, Hugo inherited the farm, along with his mother. She was able to manage while he attended Beauxbatons.

It was there that Ines and Hugo hit it off. Deep discussions regarding culinary cuisine and farm-to-table dining often left them feeling like there was no one else in the world that understood them in quite the same way. When they graduated, Hugo brought Ines back to the farmhouse in Gerbe, introducing her to his mother as his girlfriend. They married a few years later, birthing three children that they raised on the same farmhouse Hugo had grown up in. Simple folk, they choose to see magic as a helping hand, rather than the end-all-be-all of the Wizarding World. They taught their children the same sort of ethics.

To this day, they remain in Gerbe, happily married and still raising a few cows and chickens to supply the local inn with dairy products. Now that Santi and his children have moved to England, they plan on visiting for summers and holidays.

"Robat de la mare":

Vasile Mureșanu and Renata Gonzales met when they were studying at Universidad de Yixore. Both studying business and political science, they immediately hit it off through shared interests. A few years of dating, graduation, and a wedding later, they gave birth to their first child: Rubi. A few years later, they welcomed a second: Valentina. Their marriage was a happy one, though often strained by Valentina’s tendency to turn them against each other at her will. Uncertain what to do with their unruly child, Valentina, they shipped her off to primary boarding school at a young age, depriving her of familial relationships that may have changed her ultimate trajectory.

After Rubi’s fallout caused by Val’s takedown and exposure of her affair, Vas and Renata took Rubi back into their home. She was a welcome house guest, often cooking for the pair and taking them out for post-dinner drinks. After Rubi regained her footing, and they returned to being empty nesters, Vasile and Renata weren’t quite sure what to do with themselves...thankfully, they have three beautiful grandchildren to look after, now. After Val and Tiago’s relocation to London, they decided to follow and now live a few minutes down the road from Tiago’s farmhouse and Val’s lavish apartment (serving as the perfect neutral meeting zone).
