@adrianne
Getting to meet his father over the holidays had been something different. The man had been interesting. At least learning of his name had given Giacomo some idea where his middle name originated from or what had been his mother’s inspiration for the name. Obviously he had no experience in one night stands but he figured the two of them must have traded names during the night at some point. Now he had met Magnus, he was still not sure what to make of him but it appeared that he was very sure of himself and Giacomo wondered if he was like that in the slightest. He had no aversion to having that kind of attitude but was definitely much more quieter than his father. There was nothing wrong with that either.
He had woken up with the intention of writing to his father. Others who had grown up their dads knew what to write instantly and involved asking about things were back home or how things were going at Hogwarts. But what did you write to the man you had just met? Were you supposed to spout out random facts about your childhood? Or did you badger him with questions about himself? Giacomo didn’t see himself penning a letter that included either but he also didn’t want Magnus to think he was some boring Ravenclaw.
Giacomo had dragged himself out of bed and changed into his uniform and gotten ready before he headed down to the common room to write his letter. He ended up writing a rather short letter asking his dad about work and such, just your average small talk but in the form of an Owl.
On his way down he would have to make his way to Owlery to send his letter off. It made him think that his common room and that of the Lions were ideally located, especially for anyone who was looking to drop off a letter on their way to breakfast like he as this morning. Slytherin and Hufflepuff students would have to come up a few flights before they had go down again to have breakfast. Unless they had a morning class on a higher floor or visiting the library.
Giacomo walked into Owlery and spotted a bird with dark feathers fluttering about. Deciding to use this owl he began to stride over before he felt like there was a pair of eyes on him. Turning he froze and looked to the girl. ”Uh, hello, morning” he nodded looking unsure of what else to say.
