[attr="class","cbody"]By London’s standards, this winter had been relatively mild. Of course, she didn’t benefit from that all that much, if she was being perfectly honest. Scotland hadn’t had the same mild winter as London, and she frankly didn’t have too much of a reason to come down to London all that much. Still, today had been a nice enough day for her to take Zemfi to the park, so that was exactly what she had decided to do.
[break][break]
They had come down to London to visit Owain for lunch. She hadn’t seen her brother in a couple of weeks, which was far too long in her opinion. But things had been difficult, as of late. It was hard for her to see the people that she loved, given what she knew. Her brother was without magic because of Art, her sister-in-law was without magic because of Art. Both of them were broom-makers and couldn’t work at all without magic. She knew that, and she knew exactly whose fault it was, but she hadn’t told anyone.
[break][break]
Should she?
[break][break]
Titania still didn’t know. She didn’t know what the right thing was to do in this case. On one hand, he was the father of her children. Did she really want to be the person that put him in prison? Because she knew that was what would happen. This was, at best, terrorism, wasn’t it? Wouldn’t that be would they would declare it as? They had released a virus that had crippled the wizarding United Kingdom. Borders were closed, trade was surely suffering. People were suffering. People had died. They would lock him up and they would throw away the key, and she knew that.
[break][break]
What would the kids think, if she did that to their father? Surely, they wouldn’t understand how she could possibly do that to somebody but at the same time… she had raised their children to know right from wrong. They both had. They would know that this was wrong. Wouldn’t they?
[break][break]
There was no way to know. That was the problem, really. The only way to find out what would happen if she turned Art in—if she turned Wendy in, was to do it, and let the chips fall as they may. And she wasn’t sure that she wanted to risk that. She didn’t know if she wanted to think about the implications that could have on her, on their family especially. Their children would be known as his children. At best, at minimum, they would surely lose friends that wanted nothing to do with their father, and so by extension them. At worst, there could be people that wanted Art to suffer and would try to hurt his children to get back at him.
[break][break]
That was just the start. Those were just the first of dozens of horrible things that she was sure could happen if she told the Ministry who was responsible. There was one alternative, of course.
[break][break]
She could turn in Wendy.
[break][break]
Couldn’t she? A part of her knew that Art was just as responsible for this as Wendy was, but she also knew how they were together. She knew how Wendy influenced him, how they brought out the worst of each other. Wendy could go down for it, and she could leave Art out of it. That was another option—and she knew it.
[break][break]
But then Art would have his own dilemma to face. Let his sister go down for what they had done alone or go down without her. She thought she knew exactly how that would end too. With him turning himself in, and that would still put the children in danger. There was no right answer.
[break][break]
It was far too easy for her mind to wander when she was thinking about all of this. But the park had been relatively deserted and she had told Zemfi to stay close to where she’d set out a blanket to sit on. However, when she focused back on her daughter, her heart dropped when she saw an all-too-familiar woman talking to her. “Zemfi, come back here—now, please!” She called, hoping that her five-year old decided to listen to a chance. The last person that she wanted her around right now was her namesake, after all, and that was exactly who was standing there.
