So bold and fearless in the risks we take,
Laugh in the face of gravity as its laws we'd break,
On trampolines so high, we reach for the sky, but I,
Do not look up anymore and I don't know why.
For being one of the slowest days in Dima's week this Monday was actually going pretty fast. He only had two classes today, though it had felt like he had blinked and they were both over. Most days that he didn't have his internship felt like that, though those days were few and far between. The best part of days like this were that he spent his class time hopping between his two favorite classes, and afterwards was free to attack the pitch with full force. He and Sawyer had went and practiced for about an hour before both of them had decided that it was far too cold and nasty out to go on anymore.

It was freezing, raining, sleeting even. No fun to play in, let alone practice. He had went back in and decided to do something far more productive with his time than freezing his ass off-- and that was to start studying for his Charms class tomorrow. Charms was a subject he did well, but he had to practice more than a lot of other students to be able to be at the level he was at. He could remember just about any incantation-- could do just about any swish, flick, or swat without any issue-- but sometimes his wavering accent made things hard to get out. Whenever he had spent time at home or around his brothers it got a little worse, especially since they didn't seem to speak a lick of English since graduation.

Hogsmeade weekend had thrown it off a little, what with Alek coming to visit. And of course he had a LOT to blabber on to him about seeing as his dreams had pretty much came true. Dima could have rolled his eyes hard enough and enough times to had played the maracas piece in any Spanish music, had they made the noise enough to do so. He wanted to be happy for Alek that he had his moment with Emily, or whatever, but he knew it'd be more drama than it was worth. At least, he hoped, it would take the heat off of him if his older brothers found out about him and Zoe.

His plans were to meet up with Zoe in Study Hall later on in the day but he figured getting there early would make him far more effective at actually studying and not just playing footsie and passing notes. Then again, maybe not. Dima sat across from Mandy with his charms boom open, holding his head up in a bored fashion as his eyes scanned the book. Merlin, his focus just was not there today. Blue eyes moved up slowly, looking at the Gryffindor across from him, then back to his book. Were these even bloody words anymore?! Dima squinted, almost certain his book had magically changed into his Ancient Runes book, but it hadn't. He was simply in no mood to study.

Dima sighed, looking up once again this time to find the librarian who seemed to be scanning the students with a fierce tenacity that told him he ought not start a conversation out of boredom with the witch across from him. Maybe not a conversation....perhaps a note. Dima quietly shuffled around his things drawing out a piece of parchment and a quill, he jotted down something and slid it across the table to Mandy with a smirk of anticipation.

S.O.S-- Someone's cast an unforgivable on me and I'm dying of boredom. Please send help. Also what're you doing??

SO BOLD AND FEARLESS IN THE RISKS WE TAKE,
LAUGH IN THE FACE OF GRAVITY AS ITS LAWS WE'D BREAK

It was bloody fucking cold, and Mandy was feeling it. Like some sort of death threatening to creep in slowly but surely filling her bones until she finally died. She hated it, hated every moment of it and was more than happy that she was still able to use her magic to cast spells. That she could cast a warming spell and warm up and not be so damn frigidly cold. There wasn't a whole lot that she could do about it, and snuggling with someone on a couch or in a nice warm bed. Oh, that would be nice. Too bad that Brandon was so far away... She just wanted him close by. She wanted him to be near her and... it was hard. He didn't want a relationship he had been saying. He liked her, but he wasn't sure what he wanted, and that they were dating, but not. She wasn't sure what it was that he wanted, but she was fine with it she supposed. She was going to have to get over things for a while, get over what happened with Kit and learn to move on with her life.

Today she was trying to not miss Brandon and focus on her studies. She was putting in her paperwork later that day to maybe become an intern for the Dubhe Merak hospital. She was slowly getting a plan together for what she wanted her life to be, for what she wanted to do and go and see. She could have these things and she could do those things so long as she believed in herself. That was not something she really did anymore and she wished that she could say that she did, but her confidence, her hopes, her dreams, her reality had all been forced to shift in the last few years and there was not a whole lot that she could do about it, other than keeping moving and not letting it bother her. She was young, and the whole world was there to lay at her feet, but she had to decide what she wanted and where she wanted to go.

Studying was something she had to do, she had to buckle down and let things happen, let things ride and it would work out sooner or later. After all she might not be the best student but she was going to try her best to get good scores on her NEWTs. She needed it, needed this. Arithmancy was one of the hardest things for her and she never seemed to get it right, but the stuff she needed for potions came like a breeze. Stupid word problems and variables making her life miserable. She was getting frustrated and ready to break something with the note slid in front of her. Grabbing it she picked it up and smirked before looking at Dima.

Debating on throwing myself off the Astronomy Tower to avoid doing this Arithmancy homework. She slid it back to him and smiled, tapping her chin with the tip of her quill.
