Harvey knew the type of article he wanted to write when it came to what he had written to Kali about. Yes, the magazine was about Quidditch and broomsticks but he wanted to explore what made people choose other paths away from Quidditch if they happened to have played it in school. Not everyone who had played during their days at Hogwarts or whichever school had attended was destined to play the spot once they graduated. Harvey understood that he may have not played in school but he had definitely been interested in the sport and of course brooms. He just wanted to branch away from the flying tools with this column.

He knew had been running the risk of dropping his writing in front of his editor and having them think it was a ridiculous piece. But he was willing to take that risk. It showed it had variety in his writing and that he was not against going against the grain and publish something different under his name. Harvey believed it would get published though. Surely people were always interested in reading things different t the norm. He liked to explore people's minds and their way of thinking. Had been presented with the chance, he may have just studied Psychology at university. However, he knew he would have found it difficult when it came to him trying to balance studying and looking after Silas.

With the invitation for him to come to the Duelling club, he had been wondering what on earth did he dress Silas in, let alone himself. He had never been one to dress up. Of course, if he was covering a press conference or a launch of a new broom by one of the big broom makers then he would have dressed up and that included a jacket. He figured that was a pretty good guide on what he should be wearing out tonight. As for dressing his son, that became a little difficult. He didn’t want whoever cared for the children at the daycare to think that he was poor, even though he was as well-to-do as others who came to the club. He also didn’t want to give the impression that his child’s mother was a muggleborn. While he was not ashamed of that, he loved Rosa, after all, he didn’t want to cause trouble for himself or for Kali by her being his host for the evening

The wizard had arrived at the club just after 6 pm as he been advised by the witch that was going to be when she was available from. Harvey had dropped Silas the child care area along with his baby bag before had made his way to the reception area to wait for Kali. In his hand, he held his folder along with a few of the better-looking pens he owned. Even if he was here to interview Kali, he wanted to make sure he looked like he fit in a little.

Girls lie too
Don't think you're the only ones
Who bend it, break it, stretch it some

Kallisto really had no idea what to expect from this evening. She was going in with an open mind and a guarded, but hopeful heart. The witch tended to expect the worst from people...and had the sense to be on her guard around a journalist--but she hoped that she and Harvey could have a nice conversation. Kali had been trying for as long as she could remember to put the good foot forward, to be a positive face for the Parkinsons in the public eye. She had never shown any purist prejudice at Hogwarts. She had been kind and helpful to younger students regardless of blood  type. She had been an excellent student. She had even been Head Girl.

She knew the value of a positive public image. So, no matter how tiresome it was, she kept trying to cultivate the best view of herself and her kin as she could. Van made it difficult. Him and his harlot hag of a wife or ex-wife, she couldn't be bothered with keeping up with them. She hated them both. They were trash. She didn't begrudge anyone some fun. She had fun. She just didn't make a habit of getting wasted and flaunting her every debauchery for the press.

But this wasn't going to be about Van...or even the family. This was about Quidditch? Maybe? Or about what she had been doing since school instead of Quidditch... She wasn't really sure. But she'd find out soon enough. She had a relatively private table secured in the club bar--and had just finished powdering her nose when a concierge informed her that her guest had arrived.

All grace and dazzling smiles, she swept into the reception area. "Good evening, Harvey, it is a pleasure to see you again. It's been quite some time." She extended her hand and shook his. "I thought we might have a drink while we talked--I've gotten us a private table in the bar. There are dampening and privacy charms in place, so we can converse easily with one another." She flashed him one more wide, bright smile before turning on her heel and leading him back the way from which she had came. She was a tall women and walked with confidence in her heels, head held high and back straight. She had always been sure of herself. It wasn't her blood status that brought that surety--for most of her life, being pure had been a mark of shame in the eyes of society. She had built herself up despite that heritage.

"Sit won't you," she encouraged warmly once the pair reached their table, gesturing at the nearer chair. She slipped into the comfortable lounge chair opposite the one she had offered to Harvey and looked at the man, still holding that sweet smile on her lips. "Do you drink, Harvey? They have a wonderful wine list and more liquor than I knew existed. But if you prefer something sans alcohol, they also make their own fizzy drinks here. The ginger ale is one of my favorite things in the world, though I admit I do tend to enjoy it as part of their version of a mule." She spoke comfortably. They had never been close friends, but she had known him for seven years. She felt no nerves to be interacting with him, even if he was a reporter.

Meeting with an old classmate had never meant to be so stressful for anyone. It was normally something that someone would look forward to. But tonight was going to be different. Of course, he had taken the brave route and written to Kali, asking if she was free to do an interview. This was not going to be an expose. He wasn't that kind of guy despite the common reputation that reports had in the magical world. Which broomstick was not one to publish the scandalous stories. He was going to leave that to Witch Weekly and the Daily Prophet. The most attention the latter ever got in his life was when Silas was able to draw on it.

Harvey had prepared himself mentally for this evening. It wasn’t so much the person whom he was meeting but rather their meeting location. He hadn’t known she was a member of the club but the revelation hardly surprised Harvey. Kali had her family name and she had her own reputation which would get her very far in life. Part of Harvey wondered if Winter’s Hufflepuff side had rubbed off on him during a meeting in Hogsmeade or something. But she had to remain positive and just be comfortable. He also had to remember to not rush the interview in case his nerves got the better of him.

He had found the place easily enough and he had dropped his son at the daycare centre that was on offer to patrons of the club and had come across Kali easily enough. She looked like she belong here unlike Harvey himself. He knew that this place didn’t just allow only purebloods in here but halfbloods too. He just had no idea why he still felt so out of place. Harvey would just take each minute tonight.

The wizard shook her hand politely while still trying to look at the entry of the club before looking at her. ”It has indeed been some time.” They really hadn’t seen each other since they had graduated school and that had been some time now and their paths didn’t cross. He nodded as she spoke of having a table and he followed her smiling cordially to the people he walked by. It was evident that he hadn’t been here before but he didn’t want people to comment on it. He was here for his job after all.

He took his seat after she had taken hers. ”I do drink, not very often with a young child but I do like to drink when I can…” he chuckled a little as he answered her. He didn't know what he would want to drink. He could have something alcoholic or he could just go the non-alcoholic route since he still had to get home with Silas. ”If they do a Vodka and Tonic, I’ll take a weak one” he replied looking over at Kali as he fished his notepad and pen from this jacket pocket.

]”How are you going at Bango University? “ he enquired as he sat back in his armchair. It was easy enough to find out where his classmates were but it another thing to learn how exactly they were fairing in life.
