Demeter yawned, twisting again.

It was the middle of the night, and she still couldn't sleep. It had been hours since lights-out, and it was Saturday-- you'd think that would be good enough to fall asleep! Get rest, get prepared, and don't catch the Squib Flu, because it was best to get sleep to avoid sicknesses, right? Mum and Dad always said, at least.

She really wasn't sure why she couldn't sleep though-- was the bed too soft? Was it her Crohn's somehow synching up with something, the stress of everything? She really wasn't sure, and this was driving her somewhat mad that she couldn't sleep. Nerves, maybe. But she knew Sasha Augustine would laugh at her if Demeter said anything, Ollie would look at her, and Clio Jones would probably glare at her and try to start a fight with Aphrodite through her, and she couldn't quite tell the twins apart with much regularity yet.

She really wished she had a member of her friendgroup in with her. But both Caly and Dita were Slytherins, and she really didn't think that Dario de la Vega would take kindly to her waking up his roommates. She half-wished that she was back in the other dorm she'd spent five years in, because she at least knew Bella and Roxanne well enough. And Mandy too, for all that she and the boys didn't get along. 

Demeter groaned, twisting around and found herself staring directly at the occupied bed near her. Zoe Shafiq, who also happened to be awake. "Hey," she tried, whispering. Jones and Augustine would surely kill her if she woke them up. "So, Astronomy homework," she tried. "Or-- I don't know, what's keeping you up? I just can't sleep."
