@torryn
If there was one thing that Claude put above his obsessions with drinking and women and smoking, it was his passion for his work. He knew that he had a lot of responsibility. When it came to the clash between blood statuses, he tried to remain neutral. He did get protective over his close female friends'but he had been friends with so many of them for so long that it was impossible for him not look out for her. He didn’t take it upon himself to smother because he knew that they were capable of looking after themselves. But there were times he stepped in when would step in for her when they were out on mission. He was sure that even their colleagues could tell that, Torryn for example.
He could get away with protecting her more because the other witch didn’t know when he was protecting her because she didn’t know him as some other girls did. But then again, maybe she was picking up on him. They had been on a few missions together and today was another one they had together. He was going to have to travel by floo up to Glasgow for this one. He hated the added time he had to factor in when travelling places now, with his magic gone. Claude knew he was being over dramatic given that he was complaining about a ‘first world problem’. There were muggleborns out there who were oppressed and had on top of that, they had lost their magic. But at least he could still get places faster than muggles who weren’t even aware of the existence of magic.
Some women in his life would tell him to pull his head in if they got wind of his ’first world problem’ affliction. They knew how to reign him in and he was probably the only person he would let do that to him. He wondered if Torryn would do the same. He would find out. Claude had arrived at the ministry at a more appropriate time. There were days he could get himself together and be where he had to be at the right time.
His morning had just moved seamlessly and that allowed Claude to be at his desk early then some of his other colleagues getting in the morning. He was staring at the pile of files of completed cases on his desk when he saw Torryn arrive. Sitting up a little, he held up his hand to wave. ”Morning, looks like I’m your companion today…...I’ll try my best to behave” he smirked as he handed over the file for their case today to her.
