Giacomo hated falling sick, it kept him away from his school work, his duties as a prefect and he didn’t have his mum around to look after him. While he was old enough to not need his mother to take care of him each time he fell sick but it felt nice for him to know she was there taking care of him. He personally thought it was pathetic of himself to get upset because his mother wasn’t her. But he got even more upset because of the situation his mother was in. He wished he could free her from it but there was nothing he could do. Giacomo had nothing in his skill set that would even able him to free her.

At least, he knew she was safe. He could only imagine how it would be different for the two of them if she was one of the muggleborns who had gone on the run. He knew that would leave wondering constantly he really wasn’t sure if he could cope with that. He could handle so much. Giacomo knew his mother was strong and she could handle anything. She had raised him on her own and that had to be commendable in his mind.

Giacomo knew that his mum had had every right to keep the secret of who his father was to herself. He hoped that he was able some kind of relationship with the man now that he knew his identity. The man was free to reject him but Giacomo was glad he hadn’t yet.

Giacomo was glad that he had stopped coughing for the moment and that he could go nto the game now, but first needed something to get rid of this headache. He really wanted to go to the game and watch his house hopefully take on Slytherin and win. Maybe they had a chance, maybe they didn’t. He was excited to find out who would win.

Making his way down all the floors he needed to, he made his way to the hospital wing and walked in looking around with his hands in his pockets before someone spoke to him. Looking to his left, Giacomo arched his brow. ”Sorry, what did you say?”

[attr="class","tweedles"]The Hospital Wing was not a place Radella spent much time at, no more than was absolutely necessary, usually only when she ran out of supplies for the womanly affliction. It didn't happen often, these days, with a few years under her proverbial belt. That wasn't what she was there for now, of course, but she'd encountered the unfortunate circumstance of a sprained ankle on her last jog about the grounds for exercise. Now that the initial shock of pain had faded and she had a chance to rest it on a pillow, the pain was almost nonexistent, but it was visibly swollen even with the cold pack wrapped around it. The Matron had left to fetch a brace, and Radella was trying to think of alternative exercises she could do so as to limit the stress on her ankle over the next few weeks while it healed. Walking to class would be bad enough, but that was minimal and she'd been assured that as long as she didn't do it for more than 10 minutes at a time, things would be fine. Running was out of the question, though. She could fly, but that wasn't much of a work out on it's own, and there weren't many forms of exercise that burned calories without building too much muscle. Swimming would be a good alternative, if only there was somewhere to go about it. There wasn't a body of water warm enough to use for swimming, the Black Lake being the only body of water big enough for the purpose, but it was too cold and they weren't technically allowed to use it for swimming anyway. So, the culmination of those thoughts was that she was SOL for exercise that didn't amass unwanted muscle mass or put strain on her ankle, which was not a good thing for Radella. Exercise helped her relieve stress, in a way, and it kept her trim without putting bulk in places she didn't want it. A little muscle definition was alright, but too much made her feel...clunky, which was why she had developed a very particular exercise regime alongside her particular diet. Without the exercise, she'd have to reevaluate her diet for the next few weeks so as to avoid putting on any extra weight.

The entrance of one of her Housemates pulled Radella from her thoughts. She didn't know Giacomo that well beyond his name, age, and blood status, but he was alright looking and gay if she remembered right. Which was fine. Radella didn't have anything against people of that persuasion, but she preferred those of the opposite sex to herself and it seemed like all the good ones were either taken or gay. Unfortunate, but Radella supposed she could eventually marry a powerful gay man who was in the closet, which would free her to live her private life more or less how she liked. But that was a plan for a different time. "Hello...Giacomo right?"

When Giacomo got an idea in his head it was very hard for anyone else to convince him otherwise. Heck, even he had trouble changing his own mind. He had just the idea in his head that so many people at Hogwarts annoyed him. Most, if not all, were students because he never saw any staff member as inferior to him. He didn’t necessary think he was better than anyone else. He was not so self-absorbed even if others may think he was from how he acted with them. Giacomo knew that it was best to try and fit in and he knew that he did have friends but he just preferred to be on his own. When it came to school projects, there were times he just had to bite the bullet and actually work on a project together. He wondered if going into his final two years at school how many group projects he would really be working on. Giacomo knew it would down to what subjects he took.

First he would have to get through his OWLs. He wasn’t worried about them, he thought he was pretty much set for what the examiners could throw at them. But on the other hand, he knew it could be a mistake for him to make any assumptions about what they could be tested on with their exams. When he had his headache sorted out he would make a plan on what he felt he should study further. There was no harm in looking at his notes one more time. He was not perfect in all subjects. At least he possessed the humility to admit that. It was more than he could say for some other students he had encountered in the castle.

He wasn’t even sure what frustrated him so much about other people. But he did okay when he met them on his prefect patrols. Of course, there were only so many times he could insist that someone should head back to their dorm if they were out after curfew before he would threaten them with detention. He was sure that there only so many times a trophy could be polished or that anyone could spend time with Filch. He didn’t even want spend time with the old codger.

He could only imagine the headache he would end up with if he spent time around the old man. He looked over as the girl spoke to him. She was in his house, he had seen her in their tower but he only knew her by her surname. ”Oh, hi, Leigh….” he tried to smile at her. ”Are you not well? I just need something for my headache….” he informed her as he pursed his lips together as he looked around to see if he matron was around. He knew the girl before was older, just not her exact age so he wondered if she was old enough to contract the epidemic. It had gotten everyone regardless of who they were or where were, his mother included.

[attr="class","tweedles"]Sometimes, Radella wondered how she ended up in Ravenclaw over Slytherin, because she certainly had ambition in spades, but then she remembered that for all her ambition, she was really more in love with history. Her dream for power was more a facilitation for her search into her history and that of her family. She liked knowing where things came from, where people came from, and being in a position of power would allow her the freedom to do her research in peace with virtually unlimited resources for that research. So that's why she was an Eagle over a Snake. Still, she thought she might have gotten on well with the Slytherins too, had the Hat swung her that way. In any case, she preferred the view from Ravanclaw Tower over the view of the Lake she was sure the Slytherins received. Not that it mattered now, of course, but she mused on it sometimes, that she was a blend of two incredibly compatible Houses.

She wrinkled her nose in distaste at being greeted with her surname, at least without the preface of a 'miss' as professors were wont to do. Not that she had anything against her surname. She loved her father, truly, but she didn't like being greeted with her surname by her peers. Of course, sometimes all they knew about her was her surname, which Radella tried to correct as soon as possible. "Radella, please," she corrected smoothly, the frowned in sympathy at the mention of headaches. Poor boy. "Oh, well I hope they let up soon, I know from experience they're no laughing matter. I'm just here for a brace," she motioned vaguely to her ankle propped on a pillow. "Sprained it while running the grounds. Serves me right for getting distracted." She'd been so lost in thought on strategies for her career that she'd missed the root coming just above the grass. Now she'd have more time to think about her career, at the least, because she certainly wouldn't be running for a while.

When it came to Giacomo falling sick at school, he usually tried to manage it himself but there had been a few times where he had to push himself to go to the Hospital wing. His mother had called him stubborn for as long as he could remember and it was examples like this that highlighted that fact. He had constantly felt like he had been wronged for so long and he felt like he constantly had to correct the mistakes that were present. His mother had raised him as a single mum and recently he had learned that she had been the one to keep his father away and it had been her choice. He didn’t understand the reasoning because when he was born, life wasn’t so bad for muggleborns as it had been for them recently. They hadn’t been forced to register years ago but he wondered if she thought that the man would take him away if he knew of his existence.

Giacomo had met the man during this year at school and while it seemed the man still had some growing up to do, he didn’t seem like a bad person. Giacomo would prefer to get to know him better before making a better assessment. He was often quick to judge people and that sometimes saw the boy in hot water so he thought it was better to take his time with his father. But he had already decided that he was already so much more mature than his father which suprised him given their difference in age. Why would a man his age continue to sleep around? Was his life so messed up that he couldn’t settle down on one person to date? Giacomo couldn’t talk since he hadn’t really dated and was still a virgin. He had had some crushes but that was as far as he had gone.

Despite his stubbornness, he was glad he had finally arrived at the Hospital wing. Now if only the Matron was in sight. He was surprised that his house mate was in here. ”Sorry...Radella” He smiled at the girl. He wasn’t sure if he was supposed to know what she preferred to be called or not. He didn’t really pay much attention to those kinds of things.

”I hope they go soon too” He had school work he had to get on with. ”At least I’m not scheduled on for patrols tonight” That was something that the wizard was grateful for. He took pride in being a prefect but he thought it was better he didn’t have to patrol the castle while trying to get over a headache. He looked from her ankle to her. ”How did you get distracted?”Was someone chasing her or had one of the magical creatures escaped and was chasing her?
