baby i'm praying on you tonight
hunt you down eat you alive

There was a fine line in his life right now. He was up early every single day to run in the mornings and do his usual agility training as if nothing had ever changed as if he was still playing. Then he went and fed the horses, worked his four out, and did any cleaning and care that needed to be done, before going home for a shower and then getting about his day. Today was a shorter day than usual, no meetings, no clients to talk to. Just the vet about the new foal he had taken in, and then he was going to go to the gym. Maybe he would take Brynn out for dinner or something if she wasn't busy.

He still had no idea who it was that had hurt her like he had, and he still wanted to punch the bloke's face in, but his mother had cautioned him, that he had no need to do such a thing, and that he would be damaging the families already delicate reputation. He didn't want to break that, it was why he was working on being a better bloke, on being a good guy. It meant that he had pulled back on the partying and he was taking being a Lord, being a Parkinson properly. Link was his cousin by marriage, by blood but he was done with living in the shadows of other people. He was not his cousin and he was not his father. He was going to stand on his own two feet and he was going to soar when he tried to fly.

Van was a detriment to the family, even if he was a good guy. He was a member of the family, he was never going to stop being it, but he was an embarrassment. Now that the fool had gotten back with his wife, maybe he would settle down some and start having children. Michael put up with it, though Asher had no idea how he did so or why he did so. Just have the fool struck from the family and have done with it. Months previous, Asher might not have shared that idea, he might not have even though it, but losing his magic, losing everything that he was had put things in perspective and he needed to get himself together, so he had gone to work.

The house was back to rights, the land for the Foundation was broken off and labeled as land for that. Barns built and he had acquired the equine members of the staff and now they were open for business. He still worried about things, like funding and the like, but they kept the close eye on the budget and he was already working on finding ways to have fundraisers. The gym would help him work off his frustrations though, it would help him get some focus and he was a little pumped to do his leg day, and though his trainer was not there that day, Asher was pretty sure that he would be able to rock this.

Already dressed for the gym he got out of his car in the parking lot down the street and headed into the gym with a wink at the girl behind the desk. Okay, so he wasn't fully reformed, a man had to have his jollies, but he was trying. First was cardio then was lifting, but he had to stretch and warm up first. wouldn't do to get himself hurt, now would it? Stretching, he was finishing up, but he almost bit the dust as a woman walked in front of him. Damn. Damn, damn, damn. She was fucking fit, and not in the 'I work out a lot way'. He walked over and decided to skip cardio because he was a show-off if nothing else and picked up weights and began to do curls, all the while watching her from the corner of his eye.
