[attr="class","nuggetwords"]She was miffed at Dia today, so Dahila had decided that she and Pet were going on an outing. It was relatively rare that they had these spats, but when they happened, they happened. In Dahlia's opinion, the family's one rule should have been the only rule. No cult stuff. Because, after all, they were their own little cult. So they shouldn't have to do any other things. And to Dahlia, that was all fair and true. They didn't need to do any cult things because it just didn't make sense to. It was a bit cruel to limit the possibilities, but it was something that was supposed to keep the siblings happy and safe. Well, as safe as they were going to be. Sometimes, though, Dia got too bossy. She didn't realize when she was being in charge and when she was overstepping. And today? That was overstepping. So Dahlia had turned her nose up at her sister and had dragged Pet out of the room. She had better things to do than listen. She didn't care if Dia was right, or if she wasn't, and she was furious.

Being of the half that had magic was nice. She ought to have flung a curse or two at Dia, but that wasn't fair of her. If the two of them got particularly nasty, there wasn't anyone to heal the other. So she had stormed out and had gone to Dorset with Pet, just one crack away and a whole heartbeat out of sight. It wasn't like Dia couldn't find them. She wasn't cruel enough to vanish and do something completely stupid. She had told Ward and threatened him with a swift kick if he told Dia before either of them calmed down. It was just a precaution. Just a way to make sure that if they didn't come back later at least someone knew where to look for the bodies. Because, well... When Dahlia was in charge with Pet, things tended to get a little bit crazier. If she was having a good day (anxiety squashed, breathing average) she could come up with some horrendously dramatic things to do. And the plans were never as cooked as they ought to be. More often than not, the two of them wound up in a bit of trouble due to her plans, and Dia had to bail them back out.

But she was mad, so she didn't care. She was here. The castle was so daunting at night-- unfortunately, it was noon. But it was nice to look at, and it was a far better place to be than the apartment right now. She really wished that she had slammed her bedroom door three times before leaving. Or that the argument had been over something a bit better than work and a guy at work, and then Dahlia's need to be at work, and... Okay, so she actually liked her job! And she didn't want to share a boy with Dia-- well, that was different. Because Dia wasn't asking to share, Dia was asking-- no, threatening-- to take. "It's so damn big here. And treason? How fitting." So she was being dramatic, and a baby. But Pet would understand. Maybe.
