[attr="class","tweedles"]Kalila didn't often go flying for no reason; she felt tall enough as it was without putting herself higher in the air. Still, there was something freeing about flying that gave her the clarity needed to think about what she had to do with her life, untethered from her family in Egypt. Except she couldn't fly without her magic anymore, so she'd sufficed with being up in the stands to at least experience the change in air. With all the other freedoms gained from her now void betrothal, Kalila was still trying to figure out where she fit in this new reality of hers. For all that she had done her best to fight the betrothal, it had given her an excuse to keep from making deeper connections with anyone else, from exposing herself to possible heartbreak. Now she wasn't sure what she wanted out of life. She was free and now all she wanted someone to tell her what to want. Kalila knew it was a twisted logic, being free and not really wanting it. Or at least, not sure what to do with it. She enjoyed the freedom to choose, to be sure, but there were so many options now. Did she want boys? Girls? Sex and/or romance at all? Did she just want to pursue her degree without distractions? Was the price of her freedom the loss of her ambition in addition to her magic?

Unfortunately, it seemed like being up in the stands wasn't affording her any clarity about what to do with all this freedom, except that she needed to decided if she still wanted to pursue a degree in astronomy, or if she wanted to take a break to figure everything else out. If she continued her education, she wouldn't have much time for a social life--if she even wanted one. There were so many things to decide, and she felt like she had to decide them all right then even if she knew, logically, that she didn't actually have to decide anything right then.
