Darius wanted to do something special for his special witch. Things had definitely progressed in his relationship with her and they were looking on the up and that made the wizard very happy. In all that he was going through with still working in the mines and coming home when the sun had set or was near to setting. He just wanted something bright in his life. The wizard didn’t think that was a big ask. However, he knew that his girlfriend also brought that bright spark to his life and he loved to watch her smile or light up when he came home from work or when they met up for dinner. It was very different from all the remorseful looks he got from others or where others felt sorry for him.

Darius hated those looks plenty and he got them nearly every day which bothered him. He liked to think people had better things to do than to pay attention to him. Obviously, they didn’t have much to do.

This evening he had managed to get him before Faith. He had grabbed the things he had stashed away from her and left her a note to meet him at the park. Darius thought they could use a change of venue for dinner this evening and he thought the park was ideal. Summer was near and Spring at the park meant they could watch the sunset together.

Darius enjoyed his time with Faith, he hoped the same rang through for her about him. Admittedly, he had fallen for her and hard. He knew that while the relationship was still new, he had best thread lightly. She deserved a night out and he thought a picnic in the park was lovely. Some passersby were looking at him and giggling as he set everything up. He had picked up some sandwiches and fruit along with some wine for them to enjoy tonight. He had also picked up some cupcakes for them to enjoy if they still had space.

He didn’t want to go overboard and he wasn’t sure if they were going to stay out the whole night or not. He wasn’t opposed to the idea but both of their jobs were labour intensive and they needed their rest.

Darius got to his feet and rubbed his hands together as he waited for Faith to arrive. He smiled politely to someone walkting their dog before he turned his head and saw her making their way into the park. He held up his hand is a sort of wave motion as he waited for her to come over. ”Good Evening Gorgeous” he smiled as he kissed her forehead. ”Welcome to dinner….” he said waving his hand so she could see the set up.

Night's light
sublte lttle moon

The day it seemed had been against her from the moment that she had gotten up. She had been in a foul mood most of the morning but she had managed to run into a shop on one of the streets that she had been sweeping and got herself a cup of coffee and doughnut to help tide her over. She used to stop to have lunch breaks, but it had been a while since she had done so. Mainly because she was scared that Lord Lestrange would come back and she would get messed up again. The man had no magic but damn he had put a good scare into her. She hoped, and prayed, that this would be over soon. Looking over her shoulder and hoping that she got out of eyesight before she got killed.

She was scared for her life most days but she never let it show, she never let anyone know. Because she wasn't that person. She had been through far worse than this and had made out alive and she would continue to make it out. Just had to keep her eyes on the things that were the most important. She just had to keep her head above water until things got better, which would be who knew how long before she had her full freedom back. She was tired of sweeping streets, tired of feeling like hell all of the time. She didn't know what more to do about it, but seeing Darius at the end of the day made it better.

She had run home for a fast shower and then headed to the park where he had asked her to meet him. She had no idea what he was up to, but she was hoping that this was going to be something good. Something fun, because honestly after the day she had, all she wanted was to lay in bed with him and pretend as nothing bad could ever happen to them again. Like it was just fine for them to be the way that they were and nothing ever change.

She held her bag to her side as she walked and smiled at him when she saw him. Jogging over to him, she grinned and put her arms around his waist before grinning up at him. "Hey handsome" Kissing his cheek softly she looked at the set up and could not stop the grin. "Oh, love. You're so sweet. A picnic! How did you know I have had the roughest day known to man?"

Darius and Faith had been official for a little while now and while he was unable to fully spoil her, he thought that since they were getting paid now he knew it was about time he did something nice for her. She deserved it after all and he thought she did. She was hurting, they were all hurting. What they were going through and what they had experienced was not something that anyone should go through regardless of blood status or how they had lived their life. But his plan for tonight was not about anyone else but Faith. An evening picnic in the park was nice and there weren’t too many people around to stare at them or anything. Darius was used to people looking at him thanks to the amount of ink he had on him but he didn’t mind. However, tonight for him, he would be focusing all his energy on his girlfriend.

He just wanted her to enjoy a night out and to forget about the shit they were going through for being muggleborns. He was lucky somewhat with him working in the mines that he didn’t have people intimidating him all day long. Sure, there was his supervisor at the mines but he knew that with Faith sweeping the streets it could be a lot worse for her since people were more likely to see her than him.

He hoped that she would enjoy tonight before they eventually got back to their flat. He could have had candles at their flat but they had a roommate and neither of them wanted Meg to feel out of place. So that's why he decided they could have dinner out tonight. He hadn’t been able to grab as much food as he would like but it was going to be enough to satisfy their respective hungers.

He withheld the chuckle that could have escaped his lips as he saw her make her way over to him. She looked exhausted but Darius saw no point in commenting on that. Both of their jobs left them exhausted most nights but tonight their collapsing into bed would be delayed just a tad.

”Well I would say it was male intuition but I don’t think such a thing exists” he laughed as he rested his forehead against hers before he started to lead her over to the picnic. ”What do you want to drink? I managed to get some cheap white wine, I hope it’s okay but I also have some orange juice” he said as he sat down and waited for her to join him before he pulled out whatever drink she wanted out from the basket.
