General Appearance: Lady is a petite woman, standing at just barely 4’ 10”, with dark brown hair and hazel eyes. When not in her Quidditch uniform, she enjoys dressing up but also prefers to wear comfortable clothes. She smiles often and widely, unafraid to laugh at herself. People often forget that she’s as short as she is simply because her personality is so huge.

Character History:

Belladonna was born at the first strike of midnight on the 21st of October, the moon hanging full and bright in the night sky. She proclaimed her arrival with an earsplitting wail and bright eyes. Growing up, she was very protective of her two younger siblings and often defended them against anyone who thought to insult or harm them. While she possessed the Watson love of plants and potions, she knew she wasn’t destined to inherit the family business and sought out to make a name for herself another way. Sorted into Slytherin after barely a second under the Hat, she did her best to find a niche where she excelled.

Quidditch became her life when she discovered her innate skill on a broom, and her small size made her quick even on the less than ideal brooms. She tried out for the House Team in her second year and became the new seeker, darting about the pitch like a hummingbird once she spotted the snitch. In her third year, the Battle of Hogwarts began and Lady was among the students to be evacuated. However, Lady's innate fighting spirit and reckless nature had her sneaking off to join the fight. Probably not her smartest decision, but she doesn't like to live with thoughts of 'what if' and doesn't regret fighting the good fight. Obviously, she didn't die, so she must have done something right. When scouts came in her seventh year, she used the opportunity to show off her skills while still catching the snitch in a time that beat her then-personal best. She was signed onto the Harpies almost as soon as she graduated.

When she was 23, she met a man at a bar and after more drinks than she probably should have had, she went back to his hotel with him. She woke up with a fuzzy recollection of the night and a roiling in her stomach. After dashing to the bathroom and emptying her stomach, she cleaned herself up as best she could and crept out of the room. Two months later, she confirmed herself to be pregnant and left the Harpies for the entire following year. Upon the conclusion of that year, she tried out again for the team and proved herself no less competent on a broom despite her lengthy absence.

Since then, she has been juggling Quidditch matches and caring for her daughter with the help of her sister and brother, and a nanny for the lengthy trips she sometimes took abroad. Retirement isn’t something she wants to think about, but she knows she ought to consider it soon.

Plots and Politics
Where does your character stand in the treatment of death eaters and their families? She doesn't care as long as it doesn't affect her, and it currently doesn't, so...

How was your character and their family affected by the reign and death of Voldemort? She was a few years behind Harry Potter at school, so she was witness to some of his adventures and fought in the Battle of Hogwarts.

Family History:
The Watsons come from a long line of Herbologists and Potioneers, with a particular fascination with deadly plants. Bennett was the eldest son and had been raised up to take over the family business of raising rare and deadly plants, and selling potions made from their home-grown ingredients. He was an ambitious young man, proud of his family’s particular niche within the world. Sorted into Ravenclaw after stalling on the stool for several minutes, Ben excelled in Potions and Herbology just like his father before him and his before him. He took over the business at thirty years old when his own father retired.

Vernice was his equal in everything right from the start, with an intelligence to rival his and a determination to prove herself just as good as her male counterparts. They were best friends, though never anything more, and neither could imagine having that kind of relationship. However, when Ben’s father pressured him into finding a wife to give him sons, he turned to his best friend for help. Practical as ever, Vernice suggested the two of them marry to appease his father, because they already knew that Mr. Watson approved of her. Ben added, that once they produced a son they could enjoy their own choice of lovers so long as they remained discreet.

Belladonna was their first child, and while they were slightly disappointed to have a daughter, they loved her all the same and tried again. This time, they were successful and as per their agreement they sought out lovers discreetly. Two and a half years later, Vernice found herself pregnant with her lover’s child and confronted Bennett about what he would do. He agreed to claim the child as his, and their family has lived in harmony ever since.
