After everything that had happened last night, she’d at first wondered if they would be allowed to leave the castle the next day for their internships. She figured they would be—it got them out of the castle, and Odessa quite frankly thought it would be stupid of them to impair their future career in such a way over something that had been sorted out and dealt with by that blood traitor auror. It had flooded the school with Ministry officials, and made the previous night far more aggravating than she ever could have anticipated. That was what she wanted to do… sleep in a sleeping bag instead of her bed because of a threat that didn’t concern her. Eventually, the night had come to an end though, her prefect duties making it last a bit longer than she would have liked, and she was able to stop comforting upset first years and actually go to sleep.

She was looking forward to getting out of the castle—she always was. She didn’t particularly have that much interest in being a lawyer. It was just a profession that would make her look good and she knew how important appearances were to her mother. This internship would be another gold star on her perfect record and that was what mattered. Odessa hadn’t had the internship for very long… only a couple of weeks, perhaps nearing on a month, though she wasn’t keeping that close of track. She’d had it over the Easter holidays, and she was glad for something to do to fill her days. Now, there were other reasons why she appreciated being able to get out of the castle and it was in the form of a particular Quidditch player.

As a seeker, she of course kept up with the league teams and their trades and the like, so she had recognized when he had come in. She hadn’t expected… anything that had followed, but she had to admit that it was a damn needed change of pace for her life to not be so bloody boring all the time. It was necessary at school, and when she was home, she was someone else entirely. This was also… different. It all was, like different compartmentalized parts of her entire being, but that was the only way she knew how to be. The day had been a long one at the office, but better than being at Hogwarts, and the day had also been excruciatingly slow as well. Now, it was finally coming to an end, so she began to gather up her belongings and had just gotten up to slip on her blazer when she heard the door opening.

Not one to be early to bed or early to rise, it was no surprise that Jax was late to the attorney's office. The office was on the verge of closing when the seeker stepped through the door. Nearly everything was in order now, finally, for his transfer from the Arrows to PU. He was just to sign one final addendum that granted him the additional leave time he had demanded. It was important he had plenty of leave to accommodate his little furry problem.

Dark curls, still damp from his shower, clung together, framing his youthful features. He flashed a devil-may-care grin Odessa's way when he spotted the ginger standing at her desk. She looked just as beautiful as the first time he met her. The seeker had always had an affinity for redheads...those and veelas had always caught his eye. He was quite susceptible to the latter's magical allure.

Even without the veela magic, Des had caught Jaxon's attention when he had first met her at the law office; he had been present that day for a review of his new contract- his charm had gotten the witch from behind her desk and into his bed their first meeting. She had quite the little signing bonus. Their liaison had been more vanilla than his preferred deviances with witches, but hints of her proclivity for his particular brand of dominance had been noted and would be explored further this evening--should the lady be free.

"Good evening, gorgeous," the Southern boy drawled. His grin grew enough to show off the divot of a dimple in his tan cheek. "I thank you have somethang that needs m'signature." He informed her. The slow distinctly American diction that the Cole still spoke with drew out the few words into a long thought. The way he spoke foreshadowed the type of man he was--never in a hurry, always taking his time. There was no reason as far as Jaxon saw to rush through life. He wanted to savor the moments.

At first, she had contemplated the true importance of her getting an internship on top of everything else she did. Hell, it was a wonder she had a spare minute in the day with all of the activities she participated in at Hogwarts. Quidditch, her captainship, prefect duties, clubs... and studying, of course, because her grades were important (not to her personally, of course, as she doubted that her work out of school would ever be relevant to her ability to list the uses of dragon blood, or that the random historical facts she had learned would ever come up in any conversation she'd involve herself with). But when she was trying to come off as an ordinary, albeit impressive and sociable, Ravenclaw, getting outstanding marks just came with the terrority. So while she barely had a spare moment, she couldn't deny the draw of something that would get her out of Hogwarts on a weekly basis. It wasn't like it was particularly regulated; and it certainly wasn't like any professors would expect her to take advantage and abuse the privilege. No one would suspect her of taking such actions.

It was why, when Jaxon had been in the office and asked her to lunch that first time, she wasn't all that fussed about getting back to the castle. He didn't know she was still a student, and she certainly was going to try to keep that bit of information a secret. She was of age and interested, so she didn't think that anything else was all that necessary to bring up. Odessa hadn't necessarily thought anything would come of going out with him one time, particularly not shagging the bloke, and while she supposed the partners at the law firm would probably frown upon such actions, she truly didn't give a damn. She was far too subtle for them to even suspect anything odd about her leaving, nor did she think it would be a problem in the slightest if he came around again.

The situation was certainly far more interesting than most other things that happened in this place. Most of the clients were rather dull, but that had been what she'd expected. She hadn't exactly thought a law firm internship was going to be gripping or exciting. But it served her purposes well enough. Odessa recalled that Jaxon had been meant to come in and sign something; it had been left with her earlier in the day so that he wouldn't have to wait around, and she had wagered it would be quite a quick exchange, luckily for him because she didn't think anyone particularly liked partaking in such dull activities.

She had just figured he had either forgotten or planned on coming another day, so she knew that someone would sort that out since she wasn't working the next day. Still had classes and what not, unfortunately. But as she was slipping on her blazer, she heard the door open, and a glance behind her revealed Jaxon stepping into the office. "Good evening, Mr. Cole," she replied, the look in her eyes amused but her tone polite. Simply because one of the partners happened to be heading back from a meeting room to their office. The door to their office clicked behind them. She supposed professional wasn't a bad way to start off regardless. "I do... let me just grab that so you can get out of here," she added, already moving back behind her desk to lean over and grab the file.

Dark eyes focused solely on the fair skinned witch. His gaze appreciating how her brightly colored long hair caught the light with her every movement. The woman's eyes spoke volumes more than the professional words that actually left her bubblegum pink tongue. Though Jaxon did quite enjoy her showing him respect--even if he did prefer the sound of Sir or even Master to Mister Cole. The seeker paid no mind to whomever had moved through the shared space into one of the offices, but he was aware of the snap of the latch that declared he and the young lady were left alone.

Odessa moved behind her desk, but the ginger's tall lithe form was still completely visible to him. The waterfall of her silken hair down her back directed his eyes to the curve of her hips and arse. His gaze moved over the length of her legs down to the floor and drifted back upwards as she bent over to locate the necessary paperwork from within her desk--and the sight of her that way brought a tidal wave of indecent thoughts to the brunet's brain. A knowing, cocky smirk grew on his boyish face; he believed the witch was well aware of the little show she was giving him--for a man of twenty-five, Jaxon still had a youthful facade. Even the scruff that covered his cheeks did little to give him the appearance of his age- Not that he minded...He had no trouble drawing ladies and gentleman to his bed of all ages--seventeen to seventy, Jaxon knew how to catch and hold the attention of those he wished to make his lovers. Not that he had actually ventured into the geriatric age range--there had been a few older men back in his teen years and the occasional MILF these days, but for the most part, Jax kept to those in their twenties. It wasn't a preference so much as simply the coincidence of how the circumstances of his life played out.

Jaxon strolled over towards Odessa's desk. His gait was casual, but self-assured. There was no slouch in the man's height. Despite being well over six feet tall, Jaxon always kept his head and broad shoulders head high and proud. Confidence rolled off him in warm waves--but instead of being off-putting, the aura was like the tides, drawing you towards him. His warm friendliness made being around the man easy. Aware that the two of them were alone, the seeker followed the same path Des had taken to the rear of her desk. He did not stand so close as to touch her, but there was mere inches between them. When she rose and turned, she would find herself face to face with the flirtatious werewolf.

Odessa needed the reprieve from Hogwarts… all of the reasons that she gave herself for this internship—how it would look good, how people expected her to overachieve, it had nothing on the fact that she needed out of the castle every so often. She couldn’t stay cooped up there indefinitely, and sometimes she wondered how she had been able to manage to keep up appearances for so long. It was tiring, that much was for certain, and she found that being here sometimes made it just the slightest bit easier. Of course, it wasn’t as though she was herself here either. No, she still had to be polite, mild-mannered, a hard worker—this, that and the other. All what she was expected to be as an intern for the law firm. But that was still a hell of a lot better than being stuck in classes all day, particularly when she planned on finding many ways to take advantage of her free time.

She was able to stop home, see how everything was going there. Even just walking around and stalling before going back to Hogwarts was relaxing. If she was really putting off going back to the castle, sometimes she brought her broom with her and stopped by the park to do some flying. With the weather picking up, Odessa imagined she would be doing that more often than not. Odessa didn’t know how closely the professors watched the comings and goings of those with internships, but no one had so much as said a word to her about how late she pushed her hours to be on occasion. She found that it truly worked out quite well.

The work was all right—rather tedious at times, but usually interesting enough. There wasn’t anything difficult about having some form or another for Jaxon to sign, but she hadn’t ever been under the impression that the work she’d be doing in the beginnings of an internship would be all that complicated. Odessa had expected that someone would just take care of it the next day, when Jaxon had come in. She had to admit that it had been rather... odd to see someone that she had read articles and interviews about in the same room as her—the first time he’d been in, of course; but she wasn’t one to get all that… dazzled by fame, but he was a great seeker. Better suited for Puddlemere, in her opinion, but she had really only ever thought that the Arrows were all right.

Of course, she hadn’t expected what had come out of that first meeting, and the same could be said for this interaction as well—which was why she was keeping it rather professional. If all it was, was the one shag, that would be fine. She wouldn’t know how to go back to Hogwarts boys after that, but it would be all right. But when she went to get his paperwork, she could feel his gaze on her, though she didn’t look up from what she was doing. Yes, maybe she was doing a little of what she was on purpose, but there was no harm in that. Particularly since there was no one else in the room. His footsteps were the only indication that he was moving in her direction, but she still fiddled with the paperwork until he had come to a stop. It was only then that she straightened up and turned around. Odessa hadn’t expected him to be as close as he was, but her reaction was nearly imperceptible. Instead, her gaze just moved to meet his and she raised her eyebrows. “Did you need anything else, sir?” She said, finally, the paperwork in her hand though she didn’t move to do anything with it just yet. “Otherwise…” Otherwise, he should probably just sign the documents before someone came out and saw them standing far too close together—not that she found herself particularly minding if that happened one way or another.

Jaxon was perhaps more amused by the lack of reaction from the witch at his proximity than he would have been had she blatantly responded. No step back- No gasp- No widening of the eyes- This lovely law clerk had quite the poker face. That put all sorts of indecent thoughts in Jaxon's mind about the fun he could have with her out in public, if she really could stay collected in appearance. What a delightful surprise this witch was...he was always looking for fun and found it at every turn, but finding his exact preferred flavor was a bit harder to do.

His brow arched up and his dimple winked at Odessa as she posed her question. Oh yes--there was certainly several things he needed. His pearly whites flashed at her as he took the parchment from her hand, brushing against her as he did so. "Oh, I can think of thing or two, darlin'-" the country boy drawled. There was a quill on her desk, but around on the other side of the witch. He leaned into her, coming flush against her chest as he reached for it. The length of his arms made his actions unnecessary, but not all things are done out of necessity. But he took the excuse to bring his lips close to her ear, as he continued: "But Ms. Bones might rather we not do such things here." Jaxon did see the appeal to taking the girl on her desk--especially with the public nature of the location, but he didn't expect she would be willing to do such a thing...at least, not yet, he'd only shagged her once.

Placing the paperwork on her desk, Jaxon leaned over the piece of furniture--still indecently close to the ginger. The parchment had been charmed to direct his attention to the lines where his signature was required. His left hand drug the quill across the document as he scrawled out his name again and again until he was done. Dark, mischievous eyes turned to the lovely thing at his side. A come hither grin played on his lips. "Looked like you were heading out when I arrived, you have somewhere to be?"

When she had first gotten the internship, she had thought she’d taken advantage of her time out of Hogwarts in different ways. She thought she’d be able to stop home, visit with her mother a little bit more often and see if she needed help with anything—maybe see her uncle depending on her mood, though sometimes that proved more aggravating than anything since he was always asking for money or a place to crash. Odessa thought she’d have time to be at home a bit and read some of the darker tomes about blood magick and other dark arts that she couldn’t risk bringing with her to Hogwarts. She did not think that she was going to shag someone that came into the office, let alone Jaxon Cole. She couldn’t very well be a seeker, even just one at Hogwarts, and not know who he was. It might have been what she had been thinking of when he had first come into the office, but it had really been more of a passing thought—when she had gone home with him, ‘who he was’ had all but left her mind.

Still, it hadn’t been the kind of way she’d been planning on using her time out of school, not that she had any complaints. It was simply an unexpected turn of events, a surprise that she hadn’t exactly been anticipating. Of course, she didn’t think that the one time would turn into anything more than that… not even a repeat, even, because really—what were the odds that someone who could get anyone he wanted, would have any kind of interest in her? It wasn’t self-deprecating, she had plenty of confidence in herself, but she was also a realist and certainly more than willing to write off a shag as a one-time thing if that was what she thought it was going to be. Odessa had known that he was going to be in today to sign an addendum to his contract, and when he hadn’t shown up, she just figured it was something that they would deal with tomorrow while she was stuck in class. But now that he was here, it was becoming a little bit more difficult to focus on the professionalism required for him to sign what he needed to sign and be on his way.

It was hard to know if what he needed at this point was at all related to what she could actually do for him in this office, and while a part of her knew it was certainly unprofessional for her mind to even wander in that direction, it was difficult not to. “Well I’ll help you in any way I can.” She answered, something that she knew sounded professional enough even if her mind wasn’t feeling particularly professional. He was moving closer then, and since there was no one around, she saw no reason to back away when she certainly didn’t want to. Instead, she stilled, her front teeth bearing down on her bottom lip as she bit it and tried to determine what best to say.

“No, she probably wouldn’t be pleased with that.” Odessa agreed, though she was trying to riddle out just how much she actually cared about that… unfortunately she thought that her rational side might win that argument. Jaxon didn’t move away from her as he begun to sign the parchment, and she didn’t step back either, though she supposed she might have if anyone had come into the room. But luckily for her, that wasn’t a reality she had to deal with—the room remained empty save for the two of them, and eventually he was done signing and she looked up at time. “Nowhere important.” She told him, after a moment’s pause… getting back to Hogwarts was not a priority for her, especially not in light of her current company. “Why do you ask?” Of course, he might have had absolutely no reason for asking other than curiosity, and then she’d be stuck heading back to the castle, and that sounded dull in comparison.

"I'm sure you would, doll--willin' to go above and beyond to please," his bass rumbled out between them. Innuendo and lust thickening his southern drawl. The man's dark eyes sparkled with wicked mischief. He was trouble from head to toe--the most delightful sort. Deviance that wouldn't cause damage, but only pleasure. The young woman drew her lip under her pearly whites---and he felt the urge to rescue the plump pout from her assault--free it only to abuse it with his own sharp bite. His eyes stayed on her mouth--watching the witch form each word when she finally managed to speak a reply to his indecent comment.

The document signed and his attention back on his delightful companion, a smirk began to grow on his full lips. His mind was wandering far from work related thoughts. He did have such a preference for gingers...gingers and veelas--Merlin help him if he ever was to encounter a woman who was both. He'd be done for.

"Ah, well, I was just a wonderin'---thought I might lure you back to the cabin. I'd offer dinner, but ain't no restaurant servin' what I'm feelin' like eatin'," he told her as his strong hand came to rest on her hip. Sin dripped from his tongue as his country twang drug out the words. Every syllable was stretched over seconds as he took his sweep time planting the idea of what he wanted to do in her mind. They might have been at her place of work--but there wasn't anyone around. He could add a little physicality to his flirting.

What she hadn’t expected when she had first started this internship was to see someone like Jaxon Cole coming through the door—a Quidditch player that she had only read about. Of course, she had never been the star struck type. She was far too good at keeping up appearances than that, far too good at quelling any reaction to just about any situation that she came across, but she thought that he was one of the best seekers in the league. The Arrows hadn’t been a favorite team of hers, but Puddlemere always had been amongst the teams she’d favored more. Still, even if she hadn’t been star struck, she hadn’t known what to expect from the first time she met him and she hadn’t at all thought it would end up with her back at his place. Mostly because she didn’t know why someone like him would be interested in someone like her, but she figured her job did decent at making her seem older than she was and the rest, well, the rest she wouldn’t begin to try to understand.

“Something like that.” She answered, with a teasing smile, though she was quite certain that they were no longer talking about it in a professional sense. If she wasn’t in a room alone with him, she didn’t know how she would have responded to a comment like that one—but it wasn’t a reality that she had to face. Still, after the last time she had been around him and how… inappropriate it was compared to their current interaction, she found that her mind was wandering away from what they were talking about now and more about just what they could be doing. But she was getting ahead of herself. He was focusing on signing paperwork, that was all. More than likely he would then leave, and she would then leave, and she would be unfortunately be back to Hogwarts and another night of monotony. It was what she came to expect from her life at this point, at least during the school year. Their last interaction had been a pleasant surprise but she didn’t expect anything further from it. Instead, she just found her thoughts drifting in such directions while he was far too close to her to actually focus on anything else—and she was quite certain he knew exactly what he was doing.

Odessa was surprised when he asked her what her plans were, because it hadn’t at all been what she’d expected from him stopping in. She had been quite certain that she would have to simply go back to Hogwarts and do nothing but study or make aggravating small talk with her housemates for the rest of her night. It wasn’t exactly an ideal situation, but it was the one that she was in when she was stuck at Hogwarts. At his words, she felt a blush spreading across her cheeks, no matter how much she tried to prevent it. With the way that he said the seemingly innocent words, they didn’t sound innocent at all, and she found herself struggling to come up with a response so that she wasn’t left entirely speechless. “I…” She started, distracted by his hand on her hip and already flustered from his words. It truly wasn’t like her to be at a loss of what to say, and yet here it was, happening anyway. “Sure. I’m… free. Not busy, I mean.” The use of the word free would have worked fine to anyone else, but with her mother’s secondary profession, different meanings tended to come to mind.

Jaxon widened his smile as his umber gaze moved over her face, flickering from eyes to lips and back again. He knew the simple gesture could put ideas in girls' heads. He so delighted in doing that. He had no intention of snogging this pretty little ginger just yet, not here--unless she just threw herself at him anyway. He wouldn't turn it down, but leaving her wanting more would make for much more entertainment in the future.

The seeker had no plans for the evening, but was not looking for solitude. He far favored socialization over being alone. He liked attention, always had. Jax really did not do well if he was left all alone for too long. Since he felt he had to keep everyone from getting actually close to him these days, his extrovert tendencies made his bed a bit of a revolving door. Though the same faces seemed to find their way back between his sheets--he did not spend the night with the same person two nights in a row.

Jaxon arched up a brow when the witch stuttered out her response. She seemed a touch flustered. Good. That promised fun in the future. "Let's go somewhere then," he stated leaving no room for her to say no.
