Philip was quite certain that Matka had outdone herself on this one, and he wasn’t sure what exactly they needed to have a Ball, in their back garden for… It seemed like an incredible hazard to their everyday lives, and it had been. There had been people in an out, and Matka was just going to have to do this all over again in a couple of weeks for Ella’s wedding… Though he supposed that Ella wasn’t having a big wedding… They had had to talk her into a wedding at all, and he thought that if she would have gotten her way, they would have simply let it be and moved on. There would be something small, with a fraction of the people that were here tonight… Still, he thought that it wasn’t worth doing all of this here twice. They could have done this anywhere, Ares could have said he wanted any venue in the country and it would have been fine. They could have done it at Mountbatten Hall, the place was empty, and collecting dust for all he knew, but no. Matka and Athena had said here, and so here it was… He wasn’t sure that there was a good reason for it other than her own sheer stubbornness, but he wasn’t about to question her on it either. Not from any perspective really. He wasn’t going to question his matka on much, and so he was just going to go with it.

He had gone to pick @amelia up and he knocked on the door with a signature smirk. He thought that she was going to look great in the dress that he had sent her. Something classy, and light. Something that wouldn’t clash with the decorations. It was light blue, and it was something that he thought would look good with her eyes. He knew how to dress, and he knew how to dress someone else, because ti was simple enough when you had a fashion designer as a matka to learn those things growing up. When she opened the door his smile grew a little more. “You look great.” He leaned forward to brush a kiss against her cheek without thinking about it. He had been raised as a Prince, even here in England, and it was a customary greeting. One that he didn’t think anything of. He was sure that this was going to be a lot for her, and he knew that there was a good chance that she wasn’t going to want to stay long, but they didn’t have to. Just enough for everyone to see them, and know that they were there. His matka was hosting after all, and he was the youngest Wizengamot member. He had to make an appearance, and then maybe they could go do, well, anything else really. Or maybe just disappear into the house for awhile… He offered her his hand and looped her arm through his to side along apparate her back to his own house.

There was already a crowd by the time that they got back, and he thought that he would spare her having to meet his matka and Malcolm in front of all of these people. He didn’t think that it was going to be easy to avoid all of his family all night, and he didn’t want to overwhelm her with them, and with his sisters, but he thought that they were going to have to meet her sometimes. Just maybe not on what he was considering their second date… In retrospect he probably should have taken her on another date before this… But he was nothing if not dramatic. One date resulting from a hospital trip he had successfully hidden from Matka so far… And a second to the party of the year. Because he had a feeling that that was exactly what this was going to be. He didn’t think that any of his sisters could really fault him for his choice though. She was a pureblood, and she was studying to be a healer… He had chosen someone that was good for him, not someone at random… Not a halfblood. He had been smart enough about it, though he supposed that he hadn’t known that she was a pureblood when he had asked her on that first date. But that had been because she had been pretty, and she was fixing him up so that no one found out how reckless @malcolm had let him be. Looking across the tent he caught the man’s eye and he nodded to him before putting his hand on Amelia’s back and pointing to the bar in the corner, “Something to drink?”

It had been a long time since the wizard had been at an adult oriented function such as the minister’s ball. There had been gatherings in America, but nothing was ever as elegant and proper as a true pureblood event. The expenses that were sacrificed; the extra jobs that catering companies were secured for working the event. It was all really about money and power, something Lucian was not inherently worried about. Sure he wanted to be a ranking member of the Death Eaters, but he was not one to stab his other brothers in the back, Lucian would earn anything that he was able to get, which is why he still chooses to serve at Hogwarts

When he had gotten his invitation, Lucian contemplated not going, there would be no reason to do so. He had no date, he contemplated allowing Ava to come, and she would have loved it, especially if @imogen was there. Ava was fond of her cousin, and Lucian was glad that the girls could get along with one another. Lucian realized that he had not really spoken to Imogen much since the fiasco at the dance; his protection was one of the main reasons she didn’t have more harm come to her; and he hoped she understood that and was not mad at him any longer. He would have to ensure that he speaks with her tonight.

His thoughts also fell to another witch, a blonde veela whom he couldn’t get out of his mind. Their encounter during the lockdown had been brief, but they both had been interested; both had connected in some form, regardless of her previous relationship. Lucian knew that she would be there tonight, the daughter of @raymond could not turn down the invitation; @creed had informed him who the lass was; and that her father would be pleased to know that she was no longer with her former lover. Lucian felt for the witch, he wasn’t entirely heartless, and perhaps he could speak with her more tonight.

He was never one for appearing on time unless he had too. The man adjusted his black tie; the black on black that he was wearing caused him to look more, sinister, than he was. But not everyone knew that. Those in his ranks were aware that he was a good duelist, that the Transfiguration master was creative, which caused a small bit of fear of the man. But Lucian didn’t use his ability for fear unless he had too; he could, but he didn’t, his presence and his size was usually enough of a deterrent.

The man appeared at the gates and stood in line with others as they presented their invitations; pulling his from his jacket he nodded to the greeter and walked through the gates and followed the lighted path to the tent where he could hear music and the chattering’s of other attendees. Lucian placed a hand in his pocket as he glanced around, seeing Ladies @anicka and @attie. He nodded at @sebastian as he walked closer to him, scanning the room before his eyes settled on @samuel as he rolled his eyes lightly, but then he glanced at @esthergarnet, and locked his eyes on as he nodded his head her way.

This was the most ridiculous thing ever but here Imogen was. She hadn’t really expected to be here tonight but she knew that she couldn’t get away with not attending as her parents would all but escort here. She didn’t exactly support the beliefs of Death Eaters but she didn’t exactly go against it either. She knew it was silly to be in the middle somewhere when it came to one’s beliefs when it came to something so sensitive as the fate of muggles and muggleborns. But if anyone could recall how she had acted a the dance they would knew which way her beliefs about everything current were skewed. At least tonight she would not be attending alone, she had @kit as her date and it was another one of those bittersweet moments. He was brave was all she could say for coming with her with her father around. The man knew of Kit obviously through knowing his father but Imogen hoped tonight there would be plenty of people around that Lucas and her date would not come face to face.

Still she did love getting dressed up and she had been like since she was younger, nothing had changed about that. She knew that Kit appreciated it when she dressed up and that he often (and begrudgingly) put on a suit for her sake but she thought he looked rather smart in one. Of course she wouldn't get to see him in one past tonight but she enjoying what she was seeing so far when it came to his attire. She arrived along Kit at the gates and smiled politely to the attendant as he checked their invites before waving them through. She tried not to get to distracted all the amazing trees and plants they were passing on their way to where the ball was taking place. She was here to support the minister and the Death Eater cause not to check out the flora, plus she knew that Kit would easily tease her if he caught her doing so. He always found it amusing just how much she loved plants. Imogen had not hesitated to choose that when it came to further study for her at Lufkin and come September she would be facing mixed emotions. She would get to delve into her favourite topic at university but Kit would be back at Hogwarts. There was no doubt she would miss him terribly and she vowed to make the most of the time they had left together.

Walking through the gardens Imogen came face to face with the tent. ”It looks spectacular, doesn’t it?” she asked him in a whisper without shifting her gaze from the tent itself. Imogen thought that they hostesses had really outdone themselves and there was no doubt they would not hold back when it came to how much they would spend on tonight. She gently tugged Kit’s arm towards the tent knowing that the wizard would not want to direct where they went tonight and who they talked to. She easily spotted @anicka and @attie speaking with guests. She would be sure to head over there soon to greet them. Imogen also spoke to the minister himself and wondered if Kit would mind her going to speak to him or not. Imogen also spotted @shi and had to stop herself from smiling once she spotted who her date was. There had been some elaborate drama when it came to her and Lance’s arranged marriage and the blonde witch wondered if that was still going on. It was comical to see that Amy had lectured her on going through with her arranged marriage when she had practically backed out of hers too.

Imogen looked around, her gaze landing on @lucian and she instantly spotted Ava nearby dressed immaculately to. She didn’t expect anything less from her younger cousin and turned to Kit. ”So love, who shall we talk to first? It seems that Samuel is caught up with Professor Garnet” she nodded her head to where the two heads of house were conversing.

Raymond was mainly attending this "Minister's Ball" as he felt it was his duty as Ares' advisor to attend... not because he had any affiliation he could possibly muster for anything remotely linked to a 'sunset'. The plus one part of his invitation has been rather blatantly ignored for he had no use for any kind of witch hanging onto his arm like a drowning victim for the whole night nor did he have the patience for it, as such the entire invitation had been scarcely glanced before being mostly discarded. As it was he had found himself in the company of @juliusavery   for the afternoon and as the evening had neared the pair had almost silently agreed they would attend together rather than turning up alone. Julius was a rare find in the Ministry, almost someone he could refer to as a friend (if he was ever to be one to use the term) and Raymond had come to... well not trust... but agree with his skill in the job he held now and the decisions he had made. He was a remarkably easy man to speak with on the whole. If he had to suffer through the night for Ares' sake he wouldn't loathe doing so with only Avery nearhand to speak to.

They apparated a little later than stated on the decorated card he had tucked awsy in his suit jacket and walked purposefully but unrushed towards the tent erected for the night's festivity. His cold eyes blatantly disregarded those queuing to the side as he fixed his cufflinks, fixed on a spot ahead of him as beside him Julius barely paused long enough to stub out his cigarette and blow the remainder of the smoke out derisively into the otherwise clear air. Straight past the ones checking and accepting the invitations they strode, hands barely swinging by their sides. Almost immediately Raymond's gaze fell upon @gerald and his lip curled distastefully, making him turn towards his counterpart to avoid looking at him. "Our hostesses look a little... overwhelmed." He intoned, hands finally leaving his cuffs to brush some invisible lint from his lapel. @anicka   and @attie   were admittedly looking and acting the part... yet their Minister had yet to reveal himself to the older Wizard's roaming gaze.

"I believe a drink is in order..." He mentioned a moment later, brows lifting as his expression finally shifted to one of almost pleasant interest. His feet came to a halt as he paused off to the side, and he turned to Avery for his opinion as he looked around again. There was @griffith ... @creed ... @kurt ... and he even spotted a familiar face across the room with a small flicker of surprise. When he had initially met @derrick   the young Wizard had seemed at odds with himself as well as matters surrounding his family... and here he still didn't quite look like he belonged. But perhaps that was merely his own judgement clouding his view. As Gerald finally moved slightly Ray's eyes narrowed as they fell upon @samuel , one of @sebastian 's Staff in Hogwarts he has met in passing from his rounds during the lockdown. If he was correct, he would be accompanying his wife @cali, Percival's daughter. By that line of thought he could be led to believe...

Sure enough, there was @esthergarnet   in appearance between the two older Wizard's. His eyes widened a smidgen and his curled lip finally moved into an almost smile. There would be time for addressing those matters eventually but he has no reason to approach them now.

OUTFIT

When Julius had first received his invite to the Sunset Ball, he’d done so with a scoff to himself. These kinds of events weren’t really what he’d refer to as his cup of tea, but he knew it was imperative that he made an appearance regardless, and much like @raymond he’d resolved to go on account of keeping the people who mattered happy. It was a team effort as such, and there was definitely power in numbers. So if anything, he granted them his presence tonight in the name of the cause, to show his commitment, not because he was interested in sauntering around socialising with anybody beneath him on the pecking order.

He and Raymond had met up a little earlier, and were already a couple of whiskeys down. It wasn’t so bad sharing ideals and conversations with the Kvothe, and he talked a lot less shit than some of his other colleagues. Arriving fashionably late, they appeared at the apparation point with a clear and obvious air of indifference. As Raymond set about casually fixing up his cuff links, Julius took one last drag of his cigarette and dropped it to the ground before effortlessly stubbing it out with the underside of his shiny pointed dress shoes. With one hand idly placed in his suit pocket, the pair sauntered into the tent, missing the queue altogether before eventually setting foot inside of the venue.

Julius let his steely gaze travel slowly around the place before Raymond turned to him. The women in question who had thrown this all together were seemingly swamped by their guests. The kinds of witches and wizards who would climb all over each other to blow smoke up the asses of those they wanted to get on side. Julius sneered a little at his comment. “Imbeciles.” He offered plainly and directed at the swarms of people acting like seagulls trying to get a word in. It wasn’t directed at either hostess. If anything he thought the opposite of @attie to the point where she rather impressed him if he were quite honest. Now wasn’t a time to approach her however. Realistically no time would be appropriate for that, so he nodded at Raymond and his suggestion for drinks.

“Allow me,” Julius gave a nod and his lips curled upwards slightly. He could imagine that the alcohol at an event like this should be top shelf. He spotted a waiter with a tray of filled wine glasses and waved him over with a slight wiggle of his finger, and in the process spotted his own son @felix amongst the gathering crowd. He directed a nod of his head at the boy before taking two of the glasses from the waiter then turned back to Raymond passing him one, when he noticed the man… Smiling... “See something you like, Kvothe?”

Twenty eight weeks pregnant was not a way that Katlyn wanted to go to this bloody ball. She didn’t want to go looking like a beached whale. She didn’t want the looks and the stares but she knew that it would look even worse if they didn’t go. She had worked so hard on finding a dress that she liked, and matching her husband was something that he liked. The dress sat gently on her stomach and didn’t show it off too much, but it was still very obvious that she was pregnant. She was already getting sleepy but she wasn’t sure how long that she would last in the night.

Smiling up at @derrick she could not stop the small smile that formed on her face before looking at the women who were gracious enough to host the ball. ”Thank you so much for the invitation, it is a pleasure” She said putting a hand to her stomach as the baby kicked roughly and she sighed, trying to not make it super noticecable.

Since Daeron had preferred to spend the night with his boyfriend, both disguised, Rhaelle had been on her own to find a date. Luckily,

Edmund Rosier had decided to help a friend out, and was willing to go with her. He'd faced Dae being both protective older brother and doing his best to seem like a wary husband (though the two weren't that different, and Daeron was impatient to sneak out), so it hadn't been all too painful.

Shae had picked out a lovely dress for Rhaelle, and by now, Rhaelle was aware of what to do with her eye make-up, and had some sort of idea of how to powder her face. Her hair she'd left loose, figuring the curls at the bottom would be enough. Besides, just because she was married didn't mean she had to have her hair up, which seemed to be the way that many women did.

Still, she was young-- only seventeen, maybe that was the difference.

"You've saved my reputation," she told Edmund, keeping in a laugh. "Honestly, if I showed up alone, there would be all sorts of questions I didn't want to answer, and I'll always be in your debt." Letting the laugh out at last, she gripped his arm tight, side-along Apperating him in without a Splinch.

Her wedding ring shone in the light, and Rhaelle let the light play off it for half a second before making a exaggerated curtsy. "Am I appropriately dressed for this?" Edmund knew Rhae's. . .questionable taste well enough to give her an honest answer, if he felt like it.

Daeron's talk, however, had delayed them, and Rhaelle found out with some dismay that there was already a crowd. As Edmund led her through, murmuring in her ear the names of the English purebloods she wasn't familiar with, Rhaelle started at one of the figures she saw, nails suddenly digging into his sleeve.

"Tell me the blonde lord over there with the brunette lady-- Lady @melanie , you said?-- isn't my headmaster, Ed. Please tell me that's not Headmaster @sebastian , I don't know if I can meet him out of an academic setting yet!" She kept her voice low, only for his ear, but  unfortunately, that was where the tide of the crowd was carrying them, and Rhaelle had only a minute or so to put on an appropriate smile. She let Edmund introduce her to the three purebloods-- as it turned out, Lady Burke was his aunt, and Lady @eleanor a sister-in-law to his aunt-- and English society was full of delightful coincidences like that-- and she made the appropriate curtsy.

Samuel was not used to these sorts of events, he did not come from this world and nothing at Hogwarts was so as extravagant as this and this was not Samuel’s world. He was a much more mediocre man in comparison to all this. However, he was here because he knew that if he and Call personally both knew one of the hostesses and had been invited by her than he was expected to come and Samuel knew that if neither of them were here than it would not look good and he knew just how much impressions counted for in the magical world. He was not about to disappoint Cali by not showing but the fact that she had insisted that he go ahead of her showed that she was also resisting coming tonight and Samuel supposed the even her father would be here tonight. He was also expecting to see the headmaster, @sebastian here tonight to. Perhaps his boss didn’t expect to see him here but of course the hostess herself had another idea. Samuel knew his presence here was not welcome but that also prompted him to be here so that he could just see the reactions of those who took very little liking to him. He hoped that @cali would show up soon, he hated looking like a sore thumb and he was missing his beautiful fiancé on his arm.

Who the man was not expecting to see tonight was @esthergarnet. They were close friends but it was apparent that something was missing when it came to just how the blonde witch was known to Death Eaters and where was her date….surely Max would be accompanying her tonight. Or maybe not. ”I didn’t expect to see you here either Professor Garnet”he commented as his gaze landed on his fiancé arriving soon after the blonde witch had made her way over to him. ”She’s there, Anicka has been someone she grew up with” he informed Esther as he saw the dark haired witch speak with Lady Wentzell. She of course was well known to the both of them. ”The more important question tonight though is where is Max?” he skimmed the crowd looking for the tattoo parlour owner. It was a shame if he was missing the evening because he was not well but he seemed liked resilient bloke and from what Samuel knew of the family, the patriarch of the Dwyer family was a pureblood himself and so this was more than likely to be his scene and the professor got the impression he would not be one to miss out on seeing Esther dressed beautifully. Samuel sighed and fixed his cufflinks before looking to Esther for her answer, she was not getting away without answering. And she knew that if she didn’t answer him honestly he would pester her until she did give him the truth.

Samuel saw the headmaster looking their way and he arched his brow at the man. What was he expecting? A halfblood free night or something? Well he was not going to get it. Sebastian may have not wanted to see him until school resumed but he was not going to get that wish either. The professor saw some of his former students around the tent and it was interesting to see how they acted now that they were out of school. Samuel of course didn’t have any say anymore though and he couldn’t reprimand them for misbehaving. Still, it was nice to see them again. Samuel saw @roxanne and knew that she was without a date tonight for good reason. Her other half was a muggleborn and Samuel hoped that wherever the man was he was safe. It was much what he hoped for his own mother. With any luck Samuel could possibly come away from tonight with knowing what was next planned for his mum and other muggleborns. It wasn’t long before another wizard came and joined Samuel and Esther and the professor glanced sideways at Esther and folded his arms behind his back as he looked to @gerald. Obviously the man was more interested in speaking with Esther than Samuel himself. Finally we meet.. What on earth? How was his friend known to the coach of the arrows. She had never mentioned anyone from the Kvothe family before. That made Samuel think, did she know Damion too? He knew the younger wizard from working with him briefly not too long ago.

Samuel had almost turned out of the conversation that Gerald and Esther seemed to be having. The man was not there for him of course he could look around the tent as he pleased as well as looking to where his fiancé was. He would make his way over to her soon. Soon enough the Charms professor saw @lucian looking his way and more importantly at Esther. He was no idiot he knew why his friend drew that much attention but from nod that the Slytherin head of house gave her, it seemed that there was more to this story. Then he saw an older gentleman looking their way and smiling, once again Samuel assumed his gaze was focused on Esther. He was just as protective of her as he was of Calli and he was not happy with all the attention she was receiving. Was this supposed to be a dignified event or not?

The man soon saw @kit with Imogen. He knew that the young couple were spending as much time as possible together before they were unable to. He felt for them both really, but Samuel knew just what Imogen’s father was like as well as knowing what her uncle was like too. He didn't like it one bit but unfortunately there was little he could do. He sharply turned back to Esther. ”Sorry to interrupt, but Esther I’ll be over there with Calli if you want to catch up later on. I wish you both a good evening” he nodded curtly at both his friend and Gerald before going over to Calli. He arrived it seemed as she was greeting @anicka. ”Lady Wentzell, thank you for the invitation tonight, you've really outdone yourself with the decoration” he smiled at the older witch before he looked to Calli once they were away from the greetings. ”Hello my love….” he smiled at her as she placed on hand on her hip and kissed her forehead. ”Did Jeremy settle okay?” he asked as his eyes met hers.

Eleanor had not much interacted with @attie before, and therefore all she knew about the witch was that she was quite formidable in a duel, did her job properly, and was very loyal to the cause. Nothing personal, nothing out of the ordinary, but enough to give Eleanor a good impression of her whenever they crossed paths. Which wasn't often, merely the times in which Eleanor went up to the Minister's office to discuss some course of action or another. Her being the Minister's family was something to acknowledge, of course, and while she had plenty of issues -professionally- on the current affair of things, she was just as loyal to the cause as she had always been. After all, her parents had raised her for this war, always making sure she could more than hold her own. But this was not the place to think of that, this was a Ball, and pleasantries were what one should keep it to.

"Yes, Lady Wentzell and you have outdone yourselves. I have no doubt we will all enjoy ourselves greatly." Eleanor's smile was pleasant and not entirely insincere. Of course that wasn't because she didn't like Athena, that was more because shallow words and conversations weren't much to her tastes. Still, she was a pureblood lady and she had been raised as one, so graceful smiles and lighthearted conversations were pretty much second nature to her. "Your words are kind, and I return the sentiment. What a lovely shade of green, it does bring out your eyes."

It was true, Athena did look lovely tonight. The choice of colour was not an unusual one. There was a theme, of course, and not one Eleanor had chosen to stick to. A sunset ball brought to mind hues of red and oranges and pastels in general. Those were not the colours she wore, so she had stuck to black. One could never fault a black dress, especially on a Death Eater. One could also never fault a green dress, especially in a room filled with Slytherin alumni. A wise choice. Appropriate yet out of the norm enough that people would notice. Anicka, as far as Eleanor could see amongst the people that surrounded her, had chosen for a cream and red mixture, which fit the theme perfectly. Of course. Also, lovely as ever.

She was about to continue speaking when @sebastian arrived, with @melanie on his arm, so Eleanor gave Athena a quick smile as a goodbye and moved away to allow her to continue her duty as hostess. She took a glass of what seemed to be champagne and leaned against one of the tables until her old friend and his date showed up before her. Of course, she'd known that Sebastian had been looking for something. All this talk of Marcus courting one of Verena's girls had probably reminded everyone of the fact that the patriarch of the Flint family was yet unwed and had no children. Still, that was his business, Eleanor didn't pry or criticise. That wasn't what friends did.

"Oh, you know Eleanor is just fine, Sebastian. Or is first name basis reserved for my cousin only?" There was a teasing glint in her eyes as she straightened up to greet the two, and her smile took a much more genuine and less empty look. "Good evening, Lady Melanie. You look lovely tonight." Her smile turned downward for half a second at Sebastian's question, but it returned again soon enough and she shook her head. No doubt Sebastian would have noticed it, but she was counting on her friend not to pry. "I'm afraid not, actually. Roma wasn't feeling well, she believed it would be best to remain in bed tonight. Nothing to worry about, it seems. Or at least not enough for me to stay with her tonight, or so she claims."

Then two younger pureblood arrived. A Rosier -Edmund, probably. He was the eldest, wasn't he? ah, yes, yes, they were somehow related. She remembered now- and another girl. , apparently. Eleanor had never much interacted with that family, but she still offered a polite smile and a greeting to the two. Sebastian was their teacher, he would better know how to handle their presence, so she left it to him.

Coming back to England after 12 years being away from the country... it was almost bittersweet in retrospect. Once he had been able to carry himself with such undisputed pride due to his parentage... and now he was linked to Ericke Whittacker. Adopted by a near-useless halfblood who had supported the Dark Lord much of his life. To add insult to injury? Most didn't know that Jaque wasn't in fact Ericke's son by blood. This was his first ball since coming back to the United Kingdom and had resolutely told Ericke once their invitations came through that they were not attending together. If the man who had taken him in decided to turn up that was his prerogative, not Jaque's, and he would treat it as such. Oh he didn't loathe the man... but he despaired.

The queue was fairly long but it moved quickly and he was silently revelling in being surrounded by a sea of unfamiliar faces. He had it on good authority that Alexandrina wouldn't be attending- more the pity- but he had to wonder of the wizard he had met in Twilfit and Tattings would be. @jules had been unexpected but welcomed company during the time both of them were having their suits tailored and an intriguing conversationalist to boot. Handing over his invitation, he inclined his head and murmured his greeting before moving onwards and slipping through the mouth of the tent like a ribbon. Inside was much like what he had expected. Lavishly dressed Witches and Wizards moving in an endless dance of politics and polite small talk as they navigated the throng of attendees.

12 years had ensured his accent wasn't as refined as the British twang, but it was a meld of Russian and Bulgarian from his upbringing. So he spoke quietly when excusing himself past people and taking a drink from a passing server. To belong he had to find a point of balance, and in this case that seemed to be finding someone he recognised or could talk to for a while so he could collect his bearings.

Their hostesses @anicka and @attie seemed continuously busy but as had been ingrained into him he promptly walked up to the latter as the group surrounding her moved and he bowed his head in respect. "Dobar wecher- Good Evening, Lady Finley. Thank you for your invitation, I am Jaque Canopus, a pleasure to meet you." Raising his head again, he smiled slightly as he drew himself back to his full height. "Your effort and work invested here is clear in it's splendour. It is a pleasure to be here." Moving out of the way as another person passed close to him, his gaze fell upon @sebastian and @eleanor off to the side. The former he knew to have taken over as Headmaster for Hogwarts but he didn't recognise the lady on his arm. As for the blonde beside him... he imagined he recognised her somehow. Perhaps she was related to someone he had met recently.
