She was rather bored.

Truthfully, it was her own fault. If she kept the Adria dull, she kept it polite, and with an unsullied reputation. The lowest she ever took in were Quidditch players, but they'd had to be wealthy half-bloods with good names, at the absolute least. The Adria was kept elite, especially after the rather poor management of the traitor who had tried to steal it from her. She had built it up to begin with, restored the reputation it had lost, and then had been forced to loose it. Hestia had retrieved it for her, and she kept it spotless for her soul-half.

The most excitement was when some blood traitor thought they had money and could visit. No.

She raised the prices for them, poisoned their wines enough to make them ill at best. Like many lite places, the prices weren't listed on the menus, and so it was easy to raise them. Should anyone still try to stay-- she had security for that reason. Make it personal, have them know how filthy they were, embarrass them before they left, so that they never would step foot inside her precious hotel.

The door opened, and footsteps sounded as a figure entered the hallway.  "Will you have a dinner, or a room tonight?"

The Adria was always a great place to go if you wanted dinner or a nice place to stay away from home. Corwin could honestly claim that he had never once stayed at the Adria because of doing something stupid anywhere else, but he was a frequent attendee regardless. Of course, he did love living in the manor. It was fantastic, and it was large. He could hide in there for quite some time before having to actually interact with his parents... Not that he ever did that. He had a great relationship with his family, because that was important to Slughorns. He just sometimes needed to get away from them, or he had business in a different country and didn't want to go home in between travels. So he went to the Adria; it made sense, after all. The Adria was a great place to be, even though it was run by one of the more... dark families. To be fair, his cousin, but still by one of the more dark families. Even with the connection, Corwin and Alaric had gone to the Adria often, and they normally didn't interact with either Flora or Hestia. Their families still weren't on the best of terms, but it seemed like they were trying their hardest. Corwin supposed it had something to do with Aunt Atropos and how she acted. The twins, they were another story. They seemed devoted to each other, but they also seemed to be a bit too thrilled with the muggleborn registration and all that.

He never really interacted with them by choice. It wasn't like him to talk to people like that, and he knew... He knew that while they weren't really that dangerous, they were still Carrows. He had heard what happened to people who were considered to be blood traitors. He ate at the Adria often enough to know when things like that happened. Corwin wasn't clueless. He made connections, that was his job. He made connections and he figured things out, and he was well-connected. He knew the underground world for work, and he knew the pureblood world because of his family. He knew what his cousins got up to, at least a little bit, and it was honestly frightening at times. He didn't stop going to the Adria, though. He and his brother kept their real beliefs close to their chest. They weren't about to get persecuted for having sense, not in this stupid world. So he bit his tongue whenever he was in the Adria, and he kept from interacting overmuch with the owner and her sister. He doubted that it really offended them; they weren't the biggest fans of Slughorns. They had abandoned them, after all. They didn't help them during the work camp.

"Just dinner, Lady Carrow," Corwin responded, his eyes widening slightly. He didn't expect to see her, not really. Her lackeys, the others... Not the owner. Well, he wasn't sure which of the Lady Carrows this was, because they were twins, but he was surprised to see either one of them regardless. She was always there, of course, tending to her guests. He just rarely had face-to-face time with her specifically, and not always when he was alone. "Please."

The Slughorns toed the careful line between near-respectable and blood traitor, thanks to their disgusting neutrality. It sickened her, really. They were pureblood, yet they kept their heads turned to ignore both sides. They'd taken the title that had been given to other respectability, and few of the responsibilities other than marrying pure. She'd heard that the heir was marrying someone who'd been raised among filth, believing she was one of them. It made Flora's skin crawl. Blood will out, of course, and pureblood was superior to the filthy blood of Mudbloods and their kin, but still. . .

It was her place to judge only, not to offer opinions to any but sloe kin. The Slughorns, while only second cousins were anything but. They'd let HestiaandFlora struggle to cleans their association with the Carrow name. Why their father had taken one of them to wife was truly beyond Flora. She was aware if it hadn't been for Reanna, it likely wouldn't have happened.

Still, the Slughorn potioneering business was well enough to keep them attended. Flora herself often brought enough from their apothecary. If not for that, kin or no, Flora would have refused to give the Slughorns familial benefits. The one in front of her was the. . .the younger one, she was sure. The second boy. There were three, and she knew how three works well enough for Slughorns. He might the be the one to marry into a family more blood traitor than not, or he might be the one to marry into a more proper family.

"Of course," she responded easily. "Your usual place and time? The table you prefer is filled, and the inhabitents have sat down no more than ten minutes ago. If you would prefer to wait, I shall send a note. If you wish to eat now, then I shall simply have another table found."
