Your fate is not your own. It was something that he had learned a long time ago, with teeth and flesh he had learned it, but he was better now, but his life was forever changed. Dreams that he had once wanted were no lost to him, forever. His father had seen to that. Seeing his affliction had changed things between them for a while, but once he was released to the work camp from prison things had changed once again. They had been close a family. Both accepting for the monster that they were, and it worked. He wanted to be like the man, he wanted to be one of the lucky ones. Jericho was his world and having the afternoon shift meant that he would be able to maybe pick up a few things for the kid that night. Jericho's Mum had the day off so the kiddo was tucked away with his lovely mother.
He was on his break, which had been extended since it was quiet. He knew that Affy was a saint when he had come in to find Inventory already done for him and the food ready under a stasis charm. She spoiled him so much and he knew that he didn't deserve a friend like her. He had considered taking her out one night but he didn't want to fuck up his job like that. So he just stayed her friend and subordinate, though he did flirt with her a shit ton. There were times when he even stayed in the penthouse watching Renny when she went out at night.
He had finished his soft drink and was leaning on the bartop from his stool as he looked around the bar. So many times did people forget the place was also an Inn but with so many around he knew that it wasn't really needed. He couldn't feel bad about it, because the pub did well enough as it was. Especially with the kitchen cranking out the awesome food that they did. He was thinking about ordering some more chips when someone sat down beside him and he offered the pretty woman a smile. "Well, hello there." He flirted easily and bounced a brow for a moment.
