[attr="class","nuggetwords"]Arranging a party was a whole of a lot harder when you weren't in Hogwarts. You had to find a place. You had to gather people together. Find a time that works. And find a place. That was what took the longest. She'd spent days deciding where to drag Dima for his seventeenth birthday. Boy, she would've loved the Room of Requirement about now. It did all the work for you. Except for obtaining the booze. But hey, at least for her last year at Hogwarts she'd technically be legal. It still was probably against school rules though. Hmm... was there a rule against drinking for Avalon dancers? Ehh, she wasn't anyone important. No one knew her face, it didn't matter. And hey, if she ran into anyone, well what could they say when they were here too?

Eventually, actually thanks to her mental rant about the Room of Requirement, she'd settled on dragging Dima and his friends to the club. Err his of age friends. She'd sent invites to the others - they could decide what they wanted to do, sneak in or not. It wasn't like she could say anything. She'd been pulling the fake ID card since she was fifteen. It was admittedly nice to come to places like this and not sneak. So, what better way to celebrate Dima's promotion into the majority that dragging him along for a night of his first legal drinks and a night of dancing. What could be better than dancing?

She'd thought about seeing if she could do one of those things she saw in books and movies where people booked the bar for the night, but then she remembered that she was not rich and could barely afford her own drinks but whatever. She'd talked the bartender into letting her hang up a banner or two in which she'd tried to art and had written: "Happy Birthday, Dima" and "Happy Seventeenth" along with scribbles that faintly resembled birthday-y items (she wasn't becoming an artist anytime soon and hadn't claimed to be) along with a sprinkling of multicolored balloons that flashed different colors and where charmed to pop if anyone tried to take them from the room.

She'd gotten here early (like five minutes) to survey her work, a grin on her face.

"How does it feel to be legal birthday boy?" she questioned, reaching out to poke Dima in the arm when he came in.

Parties were fun, there was no question about that. Vet hadn’t been able to celebrate her birthday since everyone had been busy and for the witch herself, she had been also focusing on the Quidditch game. Sadly, Ravenclaw had not won again and she was disappointed. However, next year she aimed to be different, she was going to be the captain of the team and she wanted to win in her final year. It was her aim not only for herself but for Dima as well. After the past few weeks he had had, he needed something great in his final year and if their house team managed to win the house championship then at least he would have that as a good memory.

Her parents were sorting themselves out or so, she hoped, truthfully, she didn’t know what to make of them, really. She knew that her dad had spent the night a few weeks ago but she didn’t know if he had been back since but he had been at home a lot more lately. Vet wasn’t sure if he was home more because she and her brothers were home or because he was there trying to reconcile his marriage. However, because she had been kept out of the loop for their separation in the first place, the girl wasn’t sure if she wanted to know if she wanted to be kept up to date on the progress of their reconciliation. She just wanted them back together because even though they had had their differences she knew how crazy in love they were.

When it came to her getting out of the house to celebrate her best friend’s birthday, she had managed to do it with little trouble. With her fake ID in hand, she had headed out all dressed up. She had taken a few deep breaths as she had made her way here because she didn’t want to get caught by her mum or dad or by Viv if she happened to be at Opium tonight.

Vet stood in line at the club scrolling through her phone when she was allowed to enter after smiling and winking at security. The girl strolled in trying to keep a smile on her face as he arrived at where everything appeared to be set up.

The girl arched her brow a little as she made her way over to where Dima stood with Marigold next to him. She knew the girl was his friend too. She thought it was so fitting he was so popular given what a great guy he was. She grinned at her best friend. ”Dima!! Happy Birthday!” she smiled as he hugged him and kissed his cheek. ”You do clean up well” she winked at the wizard before she pulled out his present from her purse. It was a new wallet a keyring with his initials engraved on onside and an eagle engraved on the other side. ”You’ve done a bang-up job!” she smiled at the girl standing next to him.
