Not Enough [Bells]

It normally wasn’t very hard for Persephone to keep her personal and professional life separate, but after this meeting she wasn’t sure how much more she could take. It would only be more difficult once the school year was out. Not only would she be back working at the Ministry full time, but she would also have to deal with whatever issues Bells had with her husband. She could already tell that was going to be hell. It had been stressful moving back home with a husband that was still healing from a life threatening stab wound that landed him with a permanent heart condition, coming to terms that her brother, one of the only men in her life she trusted fully, was gone along with her beautiful sister-in-law and nephews. They would never be back and she hadn’t even been able to change the décor and items in her guest rooms that the boys had stayed in over the summers.

Persephone nodded her head to the Slytherin as she left the office before letting her head drop down onto her desk in frustration and sadness over the whole ordeal. She had far more damage control to tend to than she had initially thought, and it was going to be damn near impossible to fix at that point. She knew right at that moment it would be pointless to dwell on it as she still had work to do there as well as paperwork waiting for her at the Ministry. She sat back up rubbing her forehead with a long sigh before bringing her attention back to grading papers hoping things could only get better from there.
