@vivien
Seeing her mum the other day had been fun and she was glad for the talk they had had. But Olivette was needing her sister’s help today. Vet was able to dress suitably for dances and such but when it came to a dance where she didn’t know who her date would be, she was more than lost. She was so nervoRavenclawavenclad hardly felt nerves these days so this was something foreign to her. She knew her brothers would likely hear about who she had been paired with at the dance and regardless of who it was, they would tease her. Part of her didn’t mind that because she knew that was the role of brothers. But the girls also knew that if her night went terribly and her brothers heard about it, they would not let her live this down for some time to come. It wasn’t all bad because Vet knew she could get her back on them when they started dating and she would not forget what they had put her through.

Vet was looking forward to seeing her sister today. The plan for after she got back from working at St Mungo's was to meet her sister at Gladrags so they could spend time together and so she could get her sister to help out with picking what to wear. She really was lost when it came to the dance next week. Vet had only thought as far as wearing a dress. Well, there had been no question about that but as for what kind of dress and accessories she would wear, she was lost on that.

Vet had always looked up to Viv, right from the time she had been little. She missed seeing her around Hogwarts but Vet was proud of her. She knew that Viv would have been upset at losing her magic as was the case with most people but she hoped that she was adapting to life without it easily. Vet wasn’t sure if she was to lose her magic. She wondered if when she turned 17 in May would she lose it. She was scared to lose it because she didn’t know how she would be able to do so many things without it. Both Quidditch and her internship relied on it and she was not sure what she would do without it.

This afternoon was the time for her to worry about that. She had to work out what she was going to wear next week and that went past the style of clothing. Maybe when she saw her sister today she would see if Viv had any plans for Valentine’s Day. She knew that her sister was single, well, as far as she was aware she was. Of course, it could have all changed since she had last written to her older sister or seen her.

The two sisters could have met at St Mungo’s since they were both there but she figured it was better that they meet up at the shop rather than a place where their father worked. It was no secret to Vet that something had happened between their parents but she wasn’t sure what. For the time being, she had given up on pressing for details.

Vet had been held up someone talking to her. She normally wouldn’t have minded someone talking to her about a case because it was an opportunity to learn but she was eager to meet her sister. Vet arrived back in Hogsmeade and hurried to Gladrags, she hoped her sister had been able to floo here easily. No doubt she was looking foward to the day when she could appparate again and make getting around places much easier.

The witch entered the store and smiled to herself as she hurried over and threw her arms around her sister. ”Hey! Sorry I’m late, I got held up! Have you been here long?” She asked the last part after she let go of Viv.

It had taken a lot of pestering her mother for Viv to find out what had gone on between her parents but finally her mother had caved and the witch was furious to say the list. She had a feeling there was probably much more that her mother wasn’t telling her, but what she knew was enough. Her father was a jerk and that was putting it politely. Her mother had told Viv though that everything the duo had discussed, strictly stayed between them and the witch had agreed. She didn’t want to drag her younger siblings into it, especially not Vet considering she had more than enough to focus on with her studies and internship, without the knowledge of her father playing on her mind.

She had been glad when Vet had asked to meet her in Hogsmeade since finding out about her father Viv had been doing her best to avoid spending more time than necessary at Mungos. Sure, she didn’t have much of a choice considering it was her job but luckily for the witch, she didn’t have to spend that much time near Art when she was working. On top of that, even though her father had moved out of their house; Viv was still staying away and spent the majority of the time staying with friends and various partners that she hooked up with on a night. Viv felt some guilt because she worried that her mother thought she would blame her for everything that would happen but it was quite the opposite. Of course, she didn’t blame her mother. She just didn’t want to be anywhere that her father could potentially be.

The witch stepped out of the fireplace after flooing from Mungos to Hogsmeade and patted down her jeans. The Three Broomsticks was surprisingly busy considering it was the middle of the day and Viv felt like she might come back after spending time with her sister, maybe she could buy Vet a meal before she went back to school then try and hunt down her next victim for the night? It probably wouldn’t be too hard, she’d just have to see how she felt and if there was anyone attractive when she came back. She may be more than happy to go home with a different person every night but she did have standards and she wouldn’t go home with just anyone and if that failed and there was no one tonight? There was always Ward, he always seemed up for an all-nighter if she offered and he had been starting to learn just what Viv liked, she didn’t want to get too attached to him though, she’d just have to see where tonight led her though.

When Viv entered Gladrags she scanned the shop and noticed Vet wasn’t there yet and started down through the dress racks, pawing through them every now and then. Every time she heard the door open, the brunette glanced over her shoulder but when Vet entered the witch grinned and held her arms open for her sister, hugging her tightly. "Hey, don’t worry about it! I’ve not been here too long at all.” She replied stepping back from the hug and smiling at her. "So… I’ve seen quite a few nice dresses.” She said, gesturing to the racks around them.

Vet knew that Valentine’s dance concept that the school was trying this year was something that had been done before at Hogwarts. Part of her was interested to see how it turned out and part of her was more than nervous. She could easily play the toughest team in a Quidditch game or assist in treating a patient at the hospital. But when it came to her feelings, she felt so vulnerable. She wasn’t the girl to dress up and wear makeup. Vivienne definitely excelled where that was concerned. She did dress up but never to the level that was expected for a school dance. Vet knew that school dances, especially those around holidays were meant to be taken lightly. But this year the teachers or whoever was in charge of matching up the students. She knew she was overthinking it all but she found that to be curse she had placed upon herself. SHe could relax about it but she just wanted to enjoy the night.

She had enough just trying to convince herself to go. But she was past that now. It was important that she looked decent for the night. Had it been a normal kind of dance, and she had a date, she would have looked to wear something to impress them. But this was going to be a different night. She had no idea who she would have to impress. Any guy she had ever had a crush on was someone who ended up liking someone else and she was not someone who would wish for a couple to break up because she fancied a guy.

Vet tried to get so strung up over a guy. She had better things to spend her time doing. Her internship, her school work and her Quidditch were more important to her. She spent most of her time on that. She was happy with how things were for her at the moment. Sure, here parents were going through something and no matter how much she tried to push her mum for an answer, she was getting nowhere. She didn’t want to push too far when she got the feeling that she wasn’t going to be told what she wanted to hear. Maybe the reason behind it all was going to upset her and her mum was trying to protect her. Vet knew that, she appreciated that and she was still below age.

The young witch was looking forward to spending time with her sister Viv, even if she was unsure what exactly she would wear at the dance. All Vet knew was that she had to look confident, be open to whatever happened on the night. Honestly, she was rather a novice when it came to boys. She did have guy friends, Dima was her best friend, her first kiss and first crush. She had always had a soft spot for him in heart, but he fancied someone else. She knew that was not his fault. She wished him well with his interest in Zoe.

Arriving in the idyllic village, Vet saw that many people had crammed into the sweet shops. She shook her head. While she did want to stock up on sweets, she could wait until Honeydukes was slightly more empiric

She smiled as she pulled back from hugging her sister and tucked her hair behind her ear and took a step back. Vet nodded and started to bite on her thumbnail. ”How on earth do I pick what to wear? I mean its not like I have a date” the younger witch shrugged. Viv definitely had more experience with boys than she did, maybe she could give her some pointers on how she ought to approach the night.
