Appearance and Personality
General Appearance: Pendragon is a tall and skinny man in his early 50s. He has light blue eyes and in the middle top of his nose. His face is starting to show some wrinkles Pendragon has black to greying hair which is combed backwards and is rather starting to thin a bit. He likes to wear suits, especially light brown suits but has been seen wearing different colour suits.

Character History:
Pendragon Hands was born to Urther Hands and Gina Hands (nee King) and livedwixar in a wealthy mansion which he inherited after their death. Pendragong grew up knowing his family were powerful. He grew up being home taught along with his three youngster siblings, Guievak his younger sister and his two younger brothers Mordon and Melehan.
He was proud when he got accepted into Hogwarts and into Slytherin house. It was in Slytherin where he started to see the inferiority of the mudblood and met people who helped shaped his views of wizarding society. His siblings where all later sorted into Slytherin house as well. He supposed that was no real surprised though. Slytherin run in the family. It was also in Slytherin where he met his future wife, Morgana, who was a few years below him.
During the summer holidays in his 4th year Pendragon shoplifted money from a store in Diagon Alley, thinking that he was being smart. However, he was caught in the process and arrested. The authorities decided not to send him to prison due to his young age, and some bribery from his parents. Instead he was given a warning not to commit any crimes again in the future, and punishment from his parents for getting caught in such a stupid and pointless criminal activity. Pendragon decided, after that, to knuckle down and try harder at school to make up for his error.
Pendragon passed his exams with flying colours and joined his family’s firm when he left Hogwarts. He started off in a relatively moderate role, in charge of collecting money in the protection racket that his family ran. His parents felt that it was a good way for him to learn the ropes and would be a good way for them to study him and see how good he could be for potentially taking over the family business once they retired.
When he was 22 he was arrested by aurors for assaulting a business owner who refused to pay for protection. He was subsequently charged with assault and extortion. Being good member of the Hands family, he did not rat out on other members of the firm and law enforcement could not gather on any other evidence that other member of the Hands family were guilty of involvement of the crime. He was sentence to 4 years in Azkaban for his crimes.
During his time in prison his youngest brother, Melehan was murdered by a rival gang, sparking a gang war between the Hands family and the rival gang. By the time Pendragon was out of prison the gang war was over and the Hands family had been defeated. Leaving the Hands family a shadow of its former self.
While inside Pendragon’s prejudice against muggles and muggleborns were exacerbated, his parents were disappointed that their son had such poor views of muggle and muggleborn that they were going to disown him and allow Mordon to inherit the estate. Upon learning this Pendragon murdered his parents and made it look like they died in an accident. He got away with it. After he murdered his parents he took over their criminal empire. He never told his siblings about what happened and Mordon was none that he was to be the chosen successor. After all, his father always said “Real power was never given, it was taken.”
As he grew older he started to understand his parents point of view in not publicly hating on muggles and mudbloods, after all sometimes the family had to do business with non-pure bloods, with mudbloods with muggleborns. It was not something he really enjoyed doing but he slowly started to gain an appreciation for them and started, to an extent, to moderate his views on them.
He inherited his family’s estate. He also kept in touch with Megan and the pair started dating and soon got wed. Morgana had contacts with the death eaters during this time however both Pendragon and Megan, while supportive of their goals, declined to join, fearing that it would interfere with their businesses.
The pair wedded and eventually had a baby girl, Avalon, followed by Mordred and then Oberon. Naming children after Arthurian legend was a tradition of the Hands family. Although it is unknown where this tradition comes from.
The family was investigated but they had done a good job of covering up their involvement in criminal enterprises with false invoices, front businesses and bribing the right people. Pendragon is now seeking to rebuild. They currently operate two fronts both located in Diagon Alley
Pendragon and Megan were delighted when their daughter got her Hogwarts letter and equally delighted when Mordred did. They current looking after this youngster son while keeping up with their criminal actives.
Plots and Politics
What is your character’s stance on the recent takeover of the Ministry by Death Eaters? Pendragon is generally supportive of the Death Eater take over by the Ministry. Despite some outward appearances, he still does harbour some deep prejudices against the muggle and mugglebons and believe that anything that helps keep them in their place in a good thing. However, on the whole he only really cares about the Ministry if they start to interfere in his businesses. So he tries to keep on good terms with whoever is in charge of the Ministry so to avoid any crackdown on organised crime, or at least any crackdown on his criminal empire. If he can get his rivals targeted all the better.
Where did your character stand in the treatment of Death Eaters and their families under the late Minister Durant's rule? They strongly opposed what happened to the death eaters and their families. Especially as many of the friends of the Hands family although the Hands family itself kept out of the death eaters. They didn’t think it would be good for their business. They decided to not make their opposition to the treatment public though, instead keeping a natural appearance throughout.
How was your character and their family affected by the reign and death of Voldemort? The Hands did every well under Voldermort. They were, secretly, supporters of Voldermort and his rule. Megan used the rule of Voldermort to make new contacts and network in the criminal underworld and to make sure that the Hands family gained influence and wealth and the family did their best to help the death eaters without actively joining them. Arguing that they were better off helping them are outside contacts. Keeping tabs on what some none believers were up too and the like. It seemed to work out well for them
One the death eaters fell, the Hands family quickly started to cover their tracks.

Family History:The Hands family have a long and proud tradition and are very wealthy. The Hands family acquired its wealth throughout the ages through means both fair and foul. Both from various legitimate business enterprises and through more criminal and nefarious means. There have been more than a few members of the extended Hands family that have ended up in Azkaban for criminal actions, such as theft, extorsion and fraud.
The family criminal enterprises started under Melou Hands who, at the age of 18, joined a petty pickpocket gang and slowly climbed up the ranks before laying claim to running the gang at 26, after the fence who run the gang mysteriously disappeared. Melou saw additional opportunities and expanded the gang’s activities including forgery, burglary, counterfeiting and, eventually, money laundering schemes. Becoming more and more wealthy and influential Melou eventually married Morydd and gave birth to a son, Camelot.
Like his dad, Camelot went to Slyterin house in Hogwarts and made many contacts there. When he eventually took over the family busiess he noted that the world was changing, and that Hands family had to modernise if it was to survive. He tightened up the family organisation, concentrated a lot less on pickpocketing and burglary and more and more on so-called “white-collar” crime such as smuggling and fraud. He also expanded into the creation of protection rackets which the hands family ruled through fear and intimidation.
Camelot gave birth to two sons, his eldest son Pellinore Hands and a younger son Dagonet. Pellinore took over from his father, as was the family tradition, in 1943 and gave his brother a senior role within the family. Dagonet was happy and accepting of this situation. On 3 September 1946 Pellinore was killed in a duel with a rival. An enraged Dagonet took over the family and started a long and costly war with the rivals gang in revenge for the murder of his brother. This deeply damage the prestige and standing of the Hands family gang, driving them backwards and loosing them gang members, territory, money and power.
Dagonet died of a heart attack at the age of 77. His eldest son Urther took over the family business and set to work on rebuilding the family, its power and its wealth after the gang war. Pellam Hands, his younger brother, also set out to help his sibling complete this task. They expanded the Hands family business into new areas, working to establish new fronts and re-established lost businesses that were lost.
Urther and his wife, Gina, gave birth to 3 children, the oldest being Pendragon. Mordon Hands the 2nd oldest, Guinevak Hands their only daughter and Melehan Hands their youngest son.. It was a great time of celebration for the Hands family, from having so many children and having their first daughter in the family for generations.
Pendragon was arrested at the age of 22 for extortion and assault and was sentence to 4 years in prison. During this time his sister and younger brother both joint took over his responsibilities. While going about his business in Hogsmeade Melehan was kidnapped and murdered by a rival gang, sparking off a new gang war. Which was once again, costly for the Handa family. By the time Pendragon had been released from prison, the gang war was over and the Hands family was defeated.
This left the Hands family broken, and no longer in charge of a large criminal operation. Their extortion racket was smashed as was a large number of the other criminal activities which they were involved in. However they still managed to hold on to some of the wealth they made through their legitimate businesses and they still held onto a couple of illegal fronts as well.
While Pellam Hands died of natural causes at the age of 60, Urther and Gina where far less fortunate. Murdred by their own son, Pendragon, who made their death look like an ancident so to avoid the wrath of his siblings, especially Mordon, who was set to inhertit what was left of the family businesses instead of Pendragon. As his parents did not trust his judgement enough to believe that he would be effective to run the family businesses successfully.
Pendragon inherited his family’s estate. He also kept in touch with Megan and the pair started dating and soon got wed. Megan had contacts with the death eaters during this time however both Pendragon and Megan, while supportive of their goals, declined to join, fearing that it would interfere with their business.

Mordon married Igraine however the pair failed to produce any children. This suited Pendragon just fine however, as it meant his children would be able to inherit the family estate without having to worry about any cousins being rivals to their claim.
In regards to this Pendragon and Megan were delighted when their daughter got her Hogwarts letter and equally delighted when Mordred did. They current looking after this youngster son while keeping up with their criminal actives.
