It was not every day that she found herself wanting to break her own rules for something this risky. Normally, the chance of a shag wasn’t worth the cost if the bloke found out what she was. Amaris supposed that to some people that would sound rather dramatic, and she would have to tell those individuals that they apparently didn’t know how shitty the human race was capable of being. She had seen every reaction under the sun when it came to finding out that she was a werewolf. Disgust, anger, fear and distain were normal reactions to her, and she no longer found herself all that fazed by those. But on the rare occasion, someone would actually get violent after finding out about her. There had been one time in particular that she had been applying to a job in Diagon Alley, and of course it had been revealed that she was a werewolf. At first, the bloke had just seemed disgusted—once again, normal. Until she had been heading home through a side alley and realized that she was being followed; a werewolf had apparently killed the bloke’s sister, and killing her was his idea of vengeance as he had assumed she had been the wolf that had murdered his sibling. Luckily for her, though she hardly remembered how, Amaris had gotten away from the man. It had been a few days after the full moon, so she had been able to brush off the injuries when Dorian had asked, though she was unsure if he had bought that.

Because of that, Amaris could only think of the worse on occasion when the idea of a shag came up. What if she found herself in a situation where a bloke found out she was a werewolf and had some vendetta against her as well—the opportunity to get away from someone getting violent when they were already bloody on top of her was pretty damn slim. It hadn’t mattered much to her that the chances of that were slim, because they were there nonetheless. But she found herself incredibly tempted in this case, wondering if it was worth the risk and finding that it might just be. She couldn’t help the humorless laugh that fell from her lips at his comment, wondering if he was a damn legilimens or something. Once a month, she lost complete control against her well as she had no choice in the matter of turning into a wolf. In all other aspects of her life, she had to keep control in order to convince the wizarding world that she wasn’t some danger to society. There were very few situations in her life where she could lose control, she knew that. But it was odd that he’d realized it so quickly, “Maybe you're right,” she replied, taking a sip of her drink.

This was his typical routine, nothing unusual. It was his favorite hobby, talking his way into a bint’s pants, or skirt, finding his satisfaction from the situation. One day, he supposed, this would get old and he would find himself bored from the situation. Tonight was not that night. Really, he didn’t see that night occurring anytime in the near future. He would go after anyone, really, depending on his mood and the situation. Still, his favorite one was to shag someone who was obviously taken, proving that none of them were the same. No one was loyal or faithful, controlled by human desires. It was pathetic, certainly, but it helped him to realize he was right in what he was doing. He was doing women a favor, giving them what they needed and making sure they did nothing stupid with him, like get in a relationship.

This one hadn’t captured his attention immediately at first, but the more he sat here, the more curious he was about her. She certainly proved to be not a typical female, which was slightly a relief. To him, it seemed like she was still debating what she wanted out of this encounter, though he already knew which direction she was going in. Now, she just had to come to that conclusion…preferably sooner than later. It was a bloody good thing that he had slept with enough women to distinguish their types before sleeping with them. Well, there was never any actual sleeping, of course. He wasn’t a fucking ponce. At her words, he grinned widely, knowing that that was merely a confirmation of sorts. “I’m always right,” he shrugged. “And I think it’s time to finish off these drinks,” he stated, chugging a sip from his. She finally made up her damn mind.

This was a bad idea, she told herself, as she glanced over him briefly. Hadn’t her mind gone over all of the possibilities of what could go wrong? Amaris found that usually that did the trick. In the years since she’d been bitten by Greyback, she had experienced almost every bad thing that could happen firsthand, so she should want to avoid that. She drank, she went to work, and she went back to the apartment to sleep. Sometimes she ate. That was all she did in a day, and that had been working pretty damn well for her so far. Every time she did something out of the ordinary, inevitably something bad would happen. Did she need to get attacked again as another reminder? What she should do is get up, leave and go to the White Wyvern for the rest of the night. After all, it was far too early and she was far too sober to think about going home yet. Moving to a different seat at the bar or turning him down probably wouldn’t work all that well either, but he would not make the effort to leave the bar after her if she decided to leave. It was her best option, and one that resulted with her getting to the level of intoxication that she needed to be at to fall into unconsciousness.

But it was as if she had already made up her mind and a small part of her was just trying to change it, because she really wasn’t heeding any of what she was thinking any mind. Besides, she found thought that was sticking at the front of her mind—who bloody cared? So there was a small chance that he was an anger-ridden wolf hater who would kill her the second he got her alone… that wouldn’t be too much of a loss. It was worth the risk because the worst that could happen really wasn’t even that bad as far as she was concerned. Best-case scenario, she got a shag out of it, worst was, well, her statement about him hating werewolves and killing her. But the odds of that were so slim, and Amaris found that it seemed more realistic by the moment to not give a damn about the worst-case scenario. If it happened, it happened, and she couldn’t do anything about that. “Impressive,” she deadpanned, before taking a long swill from her firewhiskey. Should she be acting drunk soon? Potentially, she realized, if they kept drinking. However, only moments later he was dismissing that thought as though he’d read her damn mind. Apparently, making one comment that wasn’t entirely against the idea was all the proof he needed to get the show on the road, which she found amusing. Amaris took one last sip of her firewhiskey, finishing it off, before glancing at him with raised eyebrows, “Think it’s time for you to finish yours—I’ll wait,” she replied, wryly.

His nights all fell through in a similar fashion for the past few years, something he wasn’t sure he’d ever tire of. He wasn’t sure he would recognize all of the bints he had shagged, the list far too long to count. Some women thought he was despicable, but he never lied to them. He was completely upfront about what he wanted; they simply never understood the terms. Levi wasn’t changeable, perfectly content with who he was, confident in that. He was 32, past the age of acceptable immaturity, but was his behavior really all that immature? Commitment simply wasn’t for everyone and it definitely wasn’t for him. Why get bored with one bint when one can have them all?

No, this one certainly wasn’t going to turn him down, that much he knew. He supposed if someone appeared to want to turn him down, he would just walk away. There was no way he’d waste his time with someone that was impossible to convince…no, perhaps he wouldn’t. At least, not at first. It wasn’t like he would waste his time too much…so perhaps he really wouldn’t. Honestly, he didn’t even know, surprisingly. Though, he doubted he would ever run into that type of situation. Levi smirked at her response, letting his eyes roll over her body before he chugged his drink back, letting the liquid slide down his throat. Smirking, he looked over towards her, bringing her lips to his passionately, letting his hand travel towards her lower back, feeling the smoothness of her skin. “Waiting on you,” he stated against her lips, grinning as he pulled away.

She knew that not everyone held the level of disgust that most people did about werewolves. There were the occasional witch or wizard that actually felt bad, but Amaris didn’t know if pity was worse than outright disgust or distain. It was always hard to figure out, but one thing that she had certainly realized was that it was next to impossible for someone to treat her the same after finding out about her—anger, revulsion, fear, pity… none of it was exactly reactions that she enjoyed. But she was used to all of them, though sometimes she would find herself mildly curious how a specific person would respond. This one, whose name she was now realizing she’d never even gotten, was a more difficult one to determine. She couldn’t exactly figure out what he would if he found out that she was a werewolf. For all she knew, he’d be the one that hated the creatures more than anything… that would be the damn reason she didn’t risk this normally. No matter the reaction, whether it be serious or less so, she found that it didn’t usually make her ever want to alter the way she lived her life currently. More than likely, this situation would end the same way.

With that thought in her mind, she had no idea why she was even tempted by it in the slightest. What she should really do if she was thinking in her right mind would be to get up and leave before it got too far along for her to do so. He would move right along to the next bint without thinking a thing about it, and she could go home knowing that she didn’t risk something bad happening just for a damn shag. But before she could even consider that idea any further, he was bringing his lips to hers, pushing the thoughts of her leaving the pub far from her mind. Wrapping her arms around his neck to bring him closer, Amaris kissed him back, deciding that it was past time for her to stop thinking so much. If she was still on the bloody fence, apparently that was all she needed to push her into making a decision. On the off chance that the worst happened, Amaris would deal with it then. She smirked slightly against his lips at his words. “Okay,” she replied, before pulling away as well and getting to her feet.

His life wouldn’t change. Everything around him seemed to change multiple times a day and Merlin knew that women changed multiple times a day, but his life would remain the same. This was just the way he liked it; everything else could go to shit, but he was in control of his time, no one being able to control him or tell him what to do. He wasn’t controlled by the old ball and chains that being with a woman in a serious shitty relationship would mean. It was amusing to him that he was the opposite of his brothers now, per usual. His brothers tended to date a lot growing up but they were all mostly settled now, looking for something a bit more serious. When he was younger, he hadn’t dated at all, not capturing the attention of anyone. Now, he hardly had to go far before he was finding his fix with whichever bint he preferred. This was the life, he knew, and it was great.

He could tell that she was still debating, ever so slightly. But he also knew she wouldn’t say no. Hardly anyone did, as every bint he came across was just as shallow as they claimed blokes were. Ultimately, if an attractive bloke wanted to shag them, they wouldn’t say no. And bints claimed blokes to be the disgusts…at least blokes could bloody admit it to themselves. He grinned at her response, putting a hand on her lower back to guide her in front of him.

It was risky, but her entire damn life was a risk, really—and not worth all that much to her to begin with. Tonight seemed like as good a time as any to forget about other ridiculous situations and just focus on this very attractive … situation, that she was currently looking at. A lot of shit could go wrong, or possibly nothing would. Why she was wasting her time worrying about that at the current time was a mystery to her, so she determined it was time to stop and just enjoy herself for once. Amaris certainly would, she didn’t doubt that for a damn moment. She could tell just by the way he kissed that she would not be disappointed in this decision, and that needed to be her last thought on the matter. It would be, because she had already gotten to her feet so clearly her mind was made up.

This did make her mourn the time when she would already have gotten him into a damn room by now—where she didn’t have to more slowly make up her mind due to her circumstances. But, there was nothing to be done about that. Feeling his hand on her lower back, she began to move toward the side room, where the innkeeper would hopefully be ready to very quickly give them a room. She was glad that the bar had been clearing out due to the late hour, as it meant less people to dodge around in order to get to their desired location. Because now that she had made up her mind, Amaris could admit that she was getting rather impatient. She supposed she would be finding out soon enough if this was a brilliant or horrible idea.
