2019 LEAGUE SEASON IS ON AS SCHEDULED; PRE-SEASON POSTPONED TWO WEEKS FROM ORIGINAL START DATE

For the past months since Epidemic X, the Department of Magical Games and Sports has been working tirelessly to determine if it is at all possible for the season to continue amid the crippling aftermath of the epidemic.
However, after careful consideration and endless communications with owners of league teams, we can announce today that the 2019 League Season will go on as scheduled, with regular season matches starting in June.
To give teams time to prepare for the pre-season, those matches have been pushed back from their original starting dates in the end of February, to the first two weekends in March.
Now, for the matter of players impacted by the Epidemic. As of this point, all players without magic will be put on medical leave and still paid half of their normal salaries by their team while a cure is searched for. This payment will continue throughout this league season, at the minimum. After this season has concluded in October, it will be up to the teams’ discretion if they wish to offer continued payments to those players.
When a cure has been found, it will also be up to the owner’s discretion how new positions will be determined though we offer a friendly reminder that rosters cannot be changed during the league season, so all changes will have to be made out of season.
As always, a roster will need to be sent by owl to the Ministry by no later than 1 March, by the end of the work day.
