@vivien
Vet was so relieved to be home for Easter. She was happy to be able to relax and sleep in her own bed in her own room. She didn’t have to worry about making sure she didn’t misplace anything in her room so it wouldn’t get taken by her room mates, like she did at school. She knew she that she ought to get started on her assignments and now that it was Easter Monday, she was free and she didn’t have any dinners or things of that sort to attend. She knew she ought to text Nys later and see if he wanted to hang out but for now she had to finish off some homework for Transfiguaration and Charms. Both subjects challenged Vet at times but at other times, she got the grip of the topics relatively easily.

While she knew she ought to get started, she knew she wanted something to drink or eat or both. She would rummage in the kitchen for what she could have and then she would get to her school work. She knew that she ought to seize this time and go out and have fun while she could but she didn’t want to fall behind. Vet already had a much heavier workload than other students but she was doing well with balancing all that she had to. She aime to achieve a lot during her time at Hogwarts. She knew she ahd to seize the chance while she could.

The teen tied up her hair in a ponytail and padded her way out of the room and headed downstairs. She had no idea where the twins were. She looked into the front reception room and saw her little sister playing with some of her dolls. Wednesday did got all the attention now that her older siblings were at school or in Viv’s case she was working. Vet didn’t mind. She knew her mum would still spend time with each of them even with being separated from their father.

She had laid off questioning her mother about what had happened with their marriage. It was for them to talk about but she wondered what had triggered it. Vet knew that no matter how many questions she asked, her mum may not tell her anything.

Vet headed into the kitchen and started to get things out to make a smoothie. She figured it was both healthy and sweet at the same time. She got out some strawberries and the milk and was looking for the blender when she heard someone coughing behind her. Turning around from where she stood and smiled at her sister. ”Afternoon, are you just coming home?” She arched her brow and took out some bananas. ”Want a smoothie, Viv?”

But you can keep your head above water.
Viv's previous night and be different to usual, sure she'd gone out for a few drinks and some dancing but instead she'd gone home with one of her girlfriend's who'd she'd been catching up with. It hadn't been anything sexual, just the pair of them hanging out and having fun. Viv hadn't really talked much about how her parents separation and lack of magic had been bothering her. She'd been remaining closed off about it, the fact she spent most of her time learning the tricks of the trade from Ward and his sister's and going home with different people every time had been a suitable distraction and even though she did count Ward as a friend - a very attractive friend -  she didn't feel close enough to him yet to talk about her own personal issues. He provided a suitable distraction and she was happy with that, being sentimental and emotional was not what she wanted right now.

It had taken a lot of prodding from her classmate to get her to actually admit what was on her mind and in true fashion, that morning she'd been woken up by her girlfriend and they'd headed into the muggle shopping centres for some much needed retail therapy. After making quite a dent in her bank account, the duo had gone for a bite to eat and she'd headed home, just to make an appearance so her mum knew she wasn't getting into trouble, at the moment. With her sister and the twins being home, Viv did want to spend a bit of time with them, she missed her siblings when they were at school but as she hadn't been the greatest company lately; she'd been keeping her distance. She hoped that anyone who knew her just assumed it was because of her lack of magic it that she'd been so closed off, that was much easier to explain away than the fact that she was bothered by her parents not being together and her mum being... suspicious, she wasn't sure if there was another man in her life already and she didn't really care to know. All she wanted was things to be back to normal, her parents happy, her magic back and a dad that didn't ice her out.

The witch took a large gulp from her iced tea as she headed into the house and began to cough when she swallowed the wrong way, her eyes watering as she let herself into the house. Viv was about to head up to her room when someone addressed her and she glanced into the kitchen curiously, letting out another small cough and rubbing her chest. She padded into the kitchen and set her iced tea down on the counter and her bags of shopping at her feet, shaking her head at her sister as she took a few gulps of air to ease her coughing. "I've been out shopping all morning." She finally managed to say, her voice a little hoarse, "I spent a night with a friend from University." She added on before Vet could ask what sort of friend, she knew what her sister was like and it amused her a little, "I'm good on the smoothie, thanks." She answered, taking a seat at the counter and looking at his sister, "Have you done much today?" She asked curiously, taking another sip of her iced tea.

Keeping fit was going to be important for Vet if she was going to be captain on the team next year. It was something she was vying for and she only had next year to make it happen. She was still unsure of what she wanted to do next year. But at least if she made it as captain it could or would give her some clearer idea if she wanted to pursue a career in Quidditch. She had seen her mother thrive in such a career and had to decide if that was what she wanted for herself. Right now she was sure that her parents would want her to do well in her NEWTs but what if a scout came to the games next year. But she also had to factor in the possibility that she could lose her magic. Vet was weeks away from turning 17 but she had observed from working at St Mungo’s that only adults had fallen sick.

SHe really didn’t know how an illness could be so selective in who it made sick. But she had began working at the hospital only after the all clear had been given and she was able to see the after effects of the epidemic. She knew that her family had hated falling sick. She supposed that now, they had to rely on their knowledge of the muggle world to get around and to do tasks around the house. At least the phone service was decent at home so they could call or text each other. Vet was able to keep in touch with her friends when she was home for the holidays. Sometimes he thought that muggles using phones was much better given that could get responses much quicker than by using owls. At least she didn’t know to many people in the muggle world so she didn’t have to explain why she wouldn’t be able to call someone for nine months of the year.

At least in their home they had some muggle appliances or she wouldn’t know how to make a smoothie. She had wondered where her sister had been this morning. Vet knew that Viv could have been out, she was older and it normal for her to head out of a night, no matter if it was a weekend or a weekday. But it was the Easter weekend so she didn’t even know if the clubs were open or not, but she didn’t think they would close. THey would always have some patrons wanting to visit them surely. Her sister would be among them. Vet turned to her sister as she collected more ingredients for her smoothie after hearing the older girl cough. ”I’m going to assume you didn’t shag this friend or yours” she laughed as he tossed ingredients into the blender and blitzed it once before bit her lip and looked around for a glass before getting one from the dish rack. ”Not much at all, I’ve only been up for an hour ...was just listening to music then I came down here” she smiled at her before she turned on the blender again and got the right consistency with her drink before he turned off the appliance. ”What did you get from the shops?” She was interested to see her sister’s shopping haul as she had many bags with her and she hoped that Viv wouldn’t hold out on her.
