Magic fully gone now

Location: Coldham Hall, Chapel
She had lost her magic, she had lost so many things that made her who she was, but she had been told by Draco it would change nothing, she would just do something else. She had wanted to ignore the sickness, she had not gone to the hospital though she probably should have. Instead, Dayren had taken care of her and she had stayed with her brother because the chapel was here. She could pray here and she could cry out for her God in her moments of weakness and not told to be silent She could feel things here. She wasn't one of them. She was not a Blackwood and she didn't want to be, ever. She was not going to risk her immortal soul for her sister or mothers. She was not going to put herself at risk for anyone but Jarred. She needed him in times like that. When she was ill he was all she wanted. She depended on him to make her feel better, and tell her that she was doing the right things.

She knew what potions would make her feel better and what herbs she could have tea with. She was good at what she did, she didn't need a healer to tell her what they all knew. She would be fine, she was just magicless now. She was a squib in every sense but the title and she had to get her head together. God had done this for a reason, he was going to make sure that she was strong. He was making sure that she had everything that she needed and was testing her faith. So she had to be strong. She had to maintain her faith and inner strength. It meant that she had a lot of praying and thinking to do. She was feeling better now, her face was no longer red, the fever was gone, and the other things that plagued her. She looked like herself again and she had even styled her hair, her lace Mantilla was pinned to her hair and she was lighting a candle before starting to pray once more when Deryn came into the chapel.

"Misstress must eat." He said holding the small plate with bread and meats on it, knowing that Sorrel had been picky about what she had eaten since she had gotten better and stepped forward towards her. Sorrel lifted her head and looked at him, making him stop in his tracks. "If mistress does not eat she will begin to look like Miss Saffron, all sunk and ugly. " Sorrel bit her lip to stop herself from laughing and then rolled her eyes and moved to the back of the chapel, taking the plate from the elf. "You need to be nicer to my sister, she can't help that she is a misguided fool. She's mother's favorite for a reason. I love them both, you know, but you would think they would take more care what our brother and her son have to say, but that's on them. " She said before taking the plate and ate slowly.

The little elf braided her hair while she ate and then patted her shoulder as she handed him the plate as she finished. "Water." She took the offered vessel, drank then sent the elf away. She was not her sister, and she was not her mother, but she was not her brother. She followed the rules she was a good girl. She would do what she was told, and she would hold her head high when she did what she wanted, but the thing that she had to do right now was this. She had to make this right she had to make amends and do her prayers. Only when she did so would her magic return to her. So, if that meant she had to beg forgiveness for the next three days she would. If she had to until the dying day she would. She would have it back when God thought she needed it back. Until then, she would spend her life making penance.
