General Appearance: She stands at 5'6", with a brown complexion and long straight black hair, which she wears in either pinned back or in a bun. Parvati has large brown eyes, that sometimes twinkle when she's on to something. She blushes when she's nervous which isn't often and she's very confident and determined this is very obvious in how she walks.

Weaknesses: Her twin, she’d do anything for Padma. Adapting to the muggle world being a pureblood hasn’t been easy for her, even if she or her family weren’t death eaters, she had always been curious by Muggles

Character History:

Parvati and her twin grew up with their parents, learning that Muggles were not to be despised but they were people too, just different. When the girls started Hogwarts, Parvait was slightly lost and upset that she and her twin were not in the same house, but she took being sorted into Gryffindor in her stride and soon learnt to be her own person.

This independence and first act of confidence for being in Gryffindor (some might say) was when she came to Neville Longbottom’s defence after Draco Malfoy threw away his remembrall during their first flying lesson in their first year.

In here third year, Parvati started taking Divination which she soon grew very fond of. She was told by Professor Trelwaney that she could possibly be a seer one day. In their DADA Class with their professor at the time Remus Lupin while they were studying Boggarts, it was revealed that Parvati’s greatest fear was mummies.

When her fourth year rolled around and the Triwizard Tournament was taking place at Hogwarts, Harry Potter asked her to the ball as his date, but after their one dance, the champions dance, Harry didn’t want to dance anymore this caused her to get annoyed with him and she went off to dance with a boy from Beaubaxtons whom she dated briefly for a short time after.

Parvati along with her sister joined the newly formed Dumbledore’s army in their fifth year. They hated as much as the others the presence of Dolores Umbridge at their school. It was in one of these meetings that it was shown how good she was with Curses when she produced a Reductor curse that was powerful enough to reduce a table to dust. It was also during this year that her rebellious side started to come out when she along with her twin started destroy the various methods that Umbridge had set up to create a ‘proper structure’ at Hogwarts by producing a Babbling Beverage to silence the ministry worker.

In her seventh year, She and Padma rejoined the reformed Dumbledore’s army, they couldn’t be pulled from Hogwarts by their parents as it was now compulsory for pureblood students to attend. On the eve of the war when Ron, Hermione and Harry returned, the death eaters wanted Harry more than ever but the DA refused to do so. The battle started and together with Dean Thomas, Parvati fought off three death eaters, stunning them all.

After the war she and Dean dated for little while but soon realised it was that single even during the battle that brought them together and no romantic feelings were really present and they worked better as friends. About a year later in Muggle London she ran into Ernie MacMillan while out shopping, they met for coffee and as time passed their feelings for each other grew stronger, they dated and just shy of two years later they married. They had their first and only child Anaya and set up home in the London Suburb of Southall.

When Anaya was old enough to start school, Parvati began working at the ministry in the Spirit Division where she has been ever since.

Plots and Politics
Where does your character stand in the treatment of death eaters and their families? : Even as a pureblood, Parvati and her family feel ashamed for the way that the Death Eaters behaved in the past, they feel that the death eaters are getting what they deserved. However where the families are concerned, they wish their families shouldn’t be punished for the mistakes of previous generations.

How was your character and their family affected by the reign and death of Voldemort? The Patil family went against the beliefs of Voldemort and death eaters and instilled in their daughters that Muggles, Muggleborns were not vile at all, in fact they were great contributors to society as a whole. They never once succumbed to following the beliefs that Voldemort had and passed onto his followers. The twins fought in the battle against the death eaters and of course were happy when Voldemort was defeated.

Family History:

Ashwin Patil was born to a pureblood family living just outside London, he was the oldest child. He and his sisters were home schooled by their mother until they went to Hogwarts. Ashwin was sorted into Gryffindor and through his years at the school came to grown proficient in Potions and DADA. In his sixth year he realised he had feelings for fellow Gryffindor Neela Mehra.

Neela Mehra was the only daughter of pureblood family from South London, she attended a muggle nursery school in her early ears but was then Home schooled until she started Hogwarts. Once at Hogwarts she excelled at Transfiguration and Potions, achieving NEWTs in both subjects.

They married soon after graduating. Ashwin started working at the ministry and Neela worked as a writer from home for the Prophet, a year later the twins were born.
